Haruka was nervous, though that wasn’t a surprise, it seemed any social interaction made him anxious. Haruka looked down at the letter he had written. His handwriting was sloppy and he had written the majority of it in only hiragana.
This was a bad idea.
Haruka had earlier walked to the entrance of a nearby all girls school with the intention to give this letter to a girl he had a crush on, Kusunoki Muu. However as other students begin to exit the school Haruka was having second thoughts.
Muu had told Haruka she enjoyed being around him, but that could have just been her trying to be kind. Muu was very kind, she had even gifted him the two hair clips he was currently wearing. But maybe…
Haruka was pulled out of his thoughts when he heard Muu’s voice.
“Haruka? Hmm… Haruka are you okay?”
Haruka blinked a few times, he began to feel himself getting flustered.
“Haruka?” Muu asked again.
“...Sorry Muu. I- I have something for you.” Haruka quickly lifted up the letter before he could back out of this. Noticing as he did that some of the ink had smudged while being held in his hand.
Muu blinked a few times before taking the letter from him.
“Haruka wrote this for Muu?” She smiled as she read the letter. Once she was done she looked back up at Haruka, “So Haruka likes Muu? Hmm…. Muu likes Haruka too.”
Haruka felt himself getting flustered again.
“You do? I- That makes me happy to hear,” he smiled.
Muu grabbed his hands and smiled nodding.
“We should go to the new cafe a few blocks from here, what do you think?” Muu tilted her head to the side.
Haruka nodded. “O- Okay Muu.”
Muu let go of one hand and the two teens began walking down the sidewalk as Muu told Haruka about her day.
