[Podfic] Gambler's Fallacy

Summary:

Hornblower may be the alleged genius, but Bush's mathematical instincts are as good as anyone's.

A podfic of sanguinity's fic "Gambler's Fallacy"

Notes:

I giggled the whole way through recording this one and had to cut out lots of takes. Just Hornblower's complete confidence against poor befuddled Bush trying to understand the logistics here. What a delight. Thank you to sanguinity for writing this and for having a blanket permission statement!

Work Text:

A painting of people playing cards. Text reads 'Gambler's Fallacy, written by sanguinity, read by farkenshnoffingottom.'

Based on that one maddening exchange in Lieutenant Hornblower, repeated in "Loyalty":

"In the long run the chances right themselves mathematically. But the periods when they are unbalanced in the wrong direction can be distressing.”
— C.S. Forester, Lieutenant Hornblower

“But you, you risked everything on one hand!”
“My chances had to right themselves mathematically. Don’t you see?”
"Yes, of course... No, I don't."
Hornblower: "Loyalty"
