Chapter 1: Failure Function

Chapter Text

Concerned and scared gasps escaped from the people attending the function as the once bright yellow lights went out, those gasps quickly turned into horrified screams as the crowd felt sticky thick vines around their legs, and ankles.

The grip was tight around Skeppy’s ankles, he shouted his friend’s name, “Puffy! Where are you!?”, but he didn’t get a reply, all he got to his ears were terrified screams, sobs, and whispers.

He groaned angrily, he wished he never agreed to going to this damned stupid party, it was all so irritating to him.

“Ugh can’t you people just shut up? At least like, call an ambulance or somethin’.” Skeppy muttered quietly under his breath, his arms found a way to be crossed over his chest.

A firm hand grabbed his shoulder from behind, it felt odd, really odd. “Who the hell is touching me?”.

No response came from the person behind him.

“Alright dude, don’t play games with me, who are you?” worry was starting to show on the face of Skeppy.

He quickly grasped the hand that had been laying on his shoulder. It felt sticky and gross, weird liquid was spilled on his palm.

That was not a hand, at all.

Before he knew it, the tentacle pulled him up from his neck, his worry was swiftly replaced with fear.

Pupils as small as marbles, and eyes as wide as rocks.

Muffled and unclear noises hoping to be heard.

Hands scratching at the vine pointlessly.

This might be the death of an already dead man.

Skeppy’s eyes were starting to roll backwards, and his body fell limp, and useless.

He had no idea how high up he was, and probably forgot where he was.

A scream tried to escape his mouth again, it didn’t work.

It might never work.

His vision was getting black and blurry, the noises around him were becoming muffled.

He woke up and lifted himself with his elbows and arms, he blinked a couple more times to realize that he doesn’t know where he is.

It was an empty field with a foggy sky that sent chills to Skeppy’s back.

“What the hell is this?” Skeppy muttered under his breath, obviously knowing he wouldn't get an answer.

He kept walking for how long God knows until he saw something, it was a…television.

How weird.

He continued his stroll and found more odd stuff that he wasn’t familiar with, a sonic onesie, an enchanted trident that he decided to take with him, a crafting table, multiple wooden swords that he also took with him, and a…heart.

A bloody heart was what he saw, it was splattered on the dirty ground. Skeppy shrugged and ignored it 'eh, that's nothing important.', while he was walking he stumbled across a building made out of Quartz, it looks very luxurious and rich.

‘Maybe I can stay here..’ Skeppy thought.

He knocked on the door once, no answer, he did another time, still no answer.

He twisted the doorknob and it opened, “Who’s the idiot that left their house door open?” He chuckled under his breath.

There was a way upstairs and a way downstairs, and his eyes loomed over stairs that descended.

He carefully went down the stairs, and arguing could be heard…he wasn’t alone.

He crouched down, and peeked at the scene. He couldn’t tell who the other person was since the tall guy with the hood was blocking his view but the second guy sounded weirdly familiar.

“Your decisions were all selfish, and they were all for your own benefit.” yelled the one Skeppy couldn’t see. “You didn’t even consider letting me spend a little bit, just a little bit of time with the Egg.”

The demon-like man with pitch black skin tensed, “IT’S JUST A STUPID EGG, SKEPPY!”

‘What.’ Skeppy thought, worried. ‘Did that freak see me? How does he know my-’

His eyes widened with confusion and shock as he saw the anonymous demon push the other into a pit of lava, that guy looked so much like…him?

“SKEPPY, NO!” hollered the other in regret as he fell to his knees next to the pit.

Skeppy froze in place, and disbelief was painted on his face.

‘This has to be a dream…I…I’m not gonna die by the hands of a demon freak, right?’ He thought, while watching the demon weep into his palms.

The man with tan skin groaned in pain, “What the..” he sat up to get a better look at his surroundings.

Skeppy saw medicine, draws, and a trash can.

“How the fuck did I end up here…?”
