Work Text:
As Toko sipped her drink, she gazed up at the fireworks she was watching with Byakuya. The soda fizzed against her tongue for a split second before she swallowed it. “B-Byakuya, aren't the f-fireworks lovely?" She asked Byakuya. "With you it makes this a nuisance.” He muttered under his breath. “I-I will take that as a y-yes.” She said, completely ignoring what he said.
Although she usually didn't like loud sounds, she seemed to not mind fireworks. Yes, it does reminds her of gunshots, she tried to ignore it and focus on the beauty instead of that.
As she walked to the garbage can to throw away her empty soda can, she was met with a tap on the shoulder by someone. Startled, she turned around and her cortisol lowered as soon as she recognized who it was. It was Byakuya, saying that he is leaving because he has to wake up early tomorrow. “O-ok..” Toko said, as she came back to the area they were sitting at.
The firework show ended, and she met up with Komaru to walk back home. The walk back was quiet, barely any talking.
Toko walked inside her house to work on her romance novel she planned to finish. Toko walked right to her bed afterwards to lay down and get some rest.
As she laid in bed, she drifted off whilst thinking about how she plans to meet up with Byakuya.
