Chapter Text
Three of our girls sat in one of the living rooms of the Sharp Tank. Kayla was teaching Kate how to braid hair, and Mara graciously agreed to be their model. Mara suddenly piped up,
“You know what would be fun?” The other two knew of many things that could be fun, but they weren't sure which one Mara was speaking of.
“What?” Kayla asked.
“If us and our boyfriends went on a triple date!” Mara grinned. Kate gasped,
“That would be fun!”
“You're right, and you're a genius for thinking of it.” Kayla encouraged.
“I think Heath and Sterling are watching something in the other room, we should ask them!” Mara jumped out of her seat.
“Alright, let's do it!” Kate cheered. Kayla pulled up her watch,
“I'll check to see where Taryn is so we can ask him,” Mara led the girls into the room where she remembered seeing her and Kate's boyfriends. Conveniently, Tayrun was in there too. They seemed to be discussing some anime that Mara want familiar with.
“This is season 6 man! Why are you walking in on season 6 with no context and trying to judge my show?!” Sterling asked, getting comically defensive. Tayrun blinked in surprise,
“My apologies, I didn't realize it meant this much to you.”
“I promise it's less weird with context.” Heath assured him. Tayrun nodded and apparently decided to let it go.
“Hey,” Mara interjected shyly. The boys all turned to her.
“Hey Mara,” Heath stood up and walked over, pulling her into a kiss that she happily returned. Tayrun and Sterling ran over to their respective girlfriends and did the same. When Heath pulled back, Mara piped up saying,
“We had an idea that we wanted to run by you,”
“Mara had an idea,” Kate interrupted.
“That we completely agree with!” Kayla corrected. Mara blushed in embarrassment, but knowing she had the support of her friends gave her the courage to continue,
“Yeah, that's right. Anyway, I thought it would be fun if the six of us went on a triple date,”
“That would be fun,” Tayrun considered.
“I'm all for that idea!” Sterling exclaimed.
“Oooo, I have an idea for what to do,” Heath held Mara's hands in his own,
“Can you let us plan it?” He pleaded.
“Oh, um, sure. I don't have any ideas for what to do anyway,” Mara admitted.
“Isn't the person who asked for the date supposed to plan it?” Kayla pointed out.
“Well, generally yes, but if Heath has an idea I don't see why we can't let him plan it.” Sterling explained.
“Exactly. Besides, I want to do something nice for you.” Heath said, staring lovestruck at Mara.
“You always want to do nice things for me,” Mara blushed and looked away. Heath put his hand on her cheek and turned her attention back to him,
“That's because you're amazing, and you deserve it.”
“Alright,” Mara relented,
“I don't mind if you plan it. Does anyone else mind?” No one did. They all agreed to let Heath plan the triple date. Heath drafted Sterling and Tayrun to help him. They both agreed as they also wanted to do nice things for their girlfriends.
“Great, now that that's decided, can you finish teaching me how to braid hair?” Kate asked, somewhat impatiently.
“Oh, yeah, let's go finish that,” Kayla agreed. The girls went off to do that. While the boys stayed and plotted how to make their girlfriends have the time of their lives on this date.
