Work Text:
Bachira knew Rin didn’t like physical touch. He knew how much he hated it, going as far as to push people away and yell as loud as he needed to until they understood.
Rin hated physical touch. So what was happening?
Bachira wasn’t the best with boundaries, which was for the best, of course, some people needed affection in their lives regardless of how they refused it.
But what was happening now, well, it was confusing him.
The first time it had happened was when Bachira and Rin were under their tree (yes, Bachira had claimed the tree; they always sat under it, it was theirs). Bachira had been picking at the apple slices, mostly talking about his day and whatever else came to mind while Rin listened, complaining about how Bachira kept talking with his mouth full. When Rin had casually leant over and rested his head on Bachira's.
Bachira wasn’t expecting that. So he stayed still like he was trying not to scare off a cat, still talking, of course; after all, he had more to tell Rin.
The second time was when Rin had taken Bachira to the medic block of the uni; something about needing bruise cream. Bachira hadn’t quite listened, and he’d stopped listening entirely when Rin had taken his hand in his. Now Bachira wasn’t a stranger to touch, he was just a stranger to being touched, contradicting, he knows, but in simple terms, he'd never been touched first.
And the third time was when Rin had kissed him in Bachira's dorm while they were finishing a piece for their art portfolio. Rin had pushed up Bachira's bangs and gently kissed his forehead, not a real kiss, not really, but it still counted, right? They were soulmates. felt like he belonged somewhere. Like he belonged to Rin. He likes belonging to Rin.
Bachira doesn’t go back to his own dorm, gets into bed with Rin and huddles as close as he can to him. Rin, usually so cool and distant, is warm, burning under Bachira's fingertips as he drags his hands under Rin's shirt, so, so warm.
"Bachira, your hands are freezing.” Rin says although he doesn’t move, he doesn’t ask Bachira to stop, instead pushing into him. It's nice. Bachira grips Rin's shoulders tight just in case Rin tries to pull away.
He bites into Rin’s shoulder, drawing blood under his teeth; it doesn’t get much of a reaction out of Rin other than a grunt. He wishes he could eat Rin, devour him and be one with him, but if he did that, there would be no Rin, so he stays content, cuddling him.
