Work Text:
All day, everyday, therapist, mother maid, nymph, then a virgin, nurse then a servant, just an appendage, live to attend him, so that he never lifts a finger.
The box sat in front of me, not open yet, and honestly, the thought of killing Gabe sounded both wonderful and terrifying at the same time. Percy and his friends went through so much so young, and now I have the chance to change things
The prospect scares me. What if someone finds out that I did something to him? What will happen then? Will Percy and I be sperated? What will happen to Percy? Would he still be able to go to camp? Would he still be safe at all? Would I be in contact with him? What if this is a mista—
I took a deep breath. Calm down. Think about the facts.
Too many questions, not enough answers.
There, a fact. A gamble.
24/7 baby machine, so he can live on his picket fence dreams, it's not an act of love if you make her
But that doesn't matter now. This isn't about now.
I thought back to all the moments Gabe had wronged us. Every time he raised his hand against me, and what untold abuse Percy suffered, and may continue to suffer if I don't set things straight. My poor boy already deals with so much.
YOU MAKE ME DO, TOO MUCH LABOUR.
Nights untold I've had to work myself to the bone to get a some-what steady income, only for that stupid excuse of a human being to gamble it away. Heck, he even asked Percy for money. A child. My child.
Why are you hanging on so tight to the rope that I'm hanging from? Off this island. This was an escape plan, carefully timed it, so let me go, and dive into the wave below.
What a waste of air he is.
Who tends the orchards?
I've made up my mind.
Who fixes up the gables?
There's no turning back.
Emotional torture, from the head of your high table.
I pick up the box, and make my way to where Gabe was seated on my couch, that I paid for.
Who fetches the water from the rocky mountain spring, and walk back down again to feel you words and their sharp sting?
"Finally, woman," he sighs at me. "Do you have any spare money?" I smiled sweetly at him. "No, but I do have something that I feel is much better." I felt boldness and confidence grow swell in me as he raised an eyebrow. "Is that what the box is about? What's in it?"
"I don't know," A lie. "Let's find out together shall we?"
And I'm getting fucking tired.
Now or never.
