Ok first off the *catalyst.*
The word "catalyst" is mainly known in chemistry. BUT. After digging around a bit, i found out that in a religious stand it means when a person or action sparks spiritual growth, creating great transformation in a community/person. But as we know, the only 2 entitys in this category represent the opposite of growth.
Now, the way i interpret this is that the sinner must get rid of them to reach true catalyst instead of staying in a false feeling of one. The entities make you feel like youre growing when you push them away instead of facing them head on.
Since the Doombringers don't have a bound trait, ill be only talking about Craven and its trait charm.
**Tarkeerca**
"The Carecrow."
Name:
Now, the word Tarkeerca isint a real word but rather a mix of Arabic words Tark "(ترك)" and eerca "areeqa (أريكة)"
The word "tark" means "to give up", "to quit" and other similar words. Which fits perfectly with what Craven represents. Giving up. Giving up on getting better and letting addiction hold you back.
Meanwhile "eerca" is a more tricky one. I managed to find the word "areeqa" which has two meanings. A nobal feminine name and a name for a culinary dish served as breakfast for Ramadan. Which didn't really seem to fit in with the other word unless you plan on giving up on eating the culinary dish (which in mine opinion sounds and looks pretty good).
BUT. Looking around to see the meaning of the feminine name itself, it means nobility and purity.
So, theoretically. The translation of Tarkeerca is "to give up purity."
Design:
Now, for the design of the trait itself. To me, the trait almost looks like a mainmast or mizzenmast of a ship with an outpost in the middle if that makes sense? My best guess is that this is probably a metaphor for paranoia of some sort?
Description:
And lastly. The description of the trait.
"The Carecrow."
Now this is obvious a pun and word play with the word scarecrow. And we all know that scarecrows are meant to scare off crows. Craven is a crow. And instead of the charm being called scarecrow, its called a carecrow because it does the opposite of a scarecrow! It bounds Craven to you instead of scaring it off!
OKOK NOW *SCARS.*
As its said in the grace wiki, scars are born from previous sins and related to sinners more deeper than just surface level. Tar aswell doesn't have a bound trait so i shall only be talking about Rue and Doppel!
First off, Rue and its bound trait charm.
**Kucluny**
"Which way to respond?"
Name:
This word was way more easier to translate as far as i know, the community has translated it to "unlucky". Which probably just means that you were unlucky to meet a bad person. Which is what Rue is. A bad person in your past, grieving their mistakes.
But i like to dig deeper than just that...
In Japanese, Ku (苦) means Pain and suffering. The bad person in your past is suffering from their bad deeds.
While "cluny" dosent have a Japanese word, it still is a Surname/given name from Irish and Scottish Gaelic word cluain, the name means "from the meadow".
Now you're probably wondering, "dude, do you really think that 2 different languages would be used for one trinket?" Which to my answer is no! Which is why i searched if "Ku" meant anything in Irish. To which we have "cú" Which translates more specifically to a hunting hound.
So the translation of the trait Kucluny is "suffering cluny" in Japanese and "hunting hound in the meadows" in Irish.
The Japanese translation works pretty good by its own but if you're delusional like ME, than out of the Irish translation, a hunting hound in the meadows would describe a peaceful meadow (your life) gets destroyed by a hunting hound (bad person).
Design:
The trait charm seems to be a hoister for a dagger/knife. But its missing the blade. Ill go more in depth with the design of the trinket when i get to Ire (which may take a bit cuz Ires a sin and i plan on doing sins last). But form this alone, it's the bad person in your life had possibly surrenderd the blade used to hurt you. Wishing to become better. Which is why Rue is bound to you. Constantly trying to get to you to apologise only to make things worse as for forgiveness cant be given with just a simple "sorry".
Description:
"Which way to respond?"
is more literal. As if you don't know how to respond to the apology given by a past abuser.
Now Dopples bound trait!!

"Reflective souvenir, you feel your past wash over you."
Name:
Once again. Easy translation with "Pennetti" being an Italian surname with a similar sounding word being "penitent" or "penitente", which is a term used in religious contexts to describe someone who repents for their sins. Making sense given fact that Doppel is the physical manifestation of the sinners flaws.
Design:
A knife/dagger. Probably meant to represent the your past mistakes coming back to haunt you and it feeling like getting stabbed.
Description:
"Reflective souvenir, you feel your past wash over you."
Once again, the past coming back to haunt you. To which is why Doppel is bound to the trait. Almost as if looking at an old souvenir from the past and remembering the day you got it. Except this time its the reflection of yourself and remembering everything that got you here to the present day.
