Surprise flashes over Sidon’s face before he grins, sweeping Link in a crushing hug, immediately forgetting about fishing for trout for dinner. Link’s been hugged enough times to remember to inhale in advance lest the air water be knocked from his lungs.
“Yeah, the Hero of Legend let me borrow it. You like it?”
Link’s voice is almost magical underwater, little bubbles lacing his words. Sidon holds his hand and eagerly takes him on a tour of the underwater, showing him creatures, plants and rock formations he’d never seen before.
With every passing day, this kingdom felt more like home.
