Chapter Text
It started when their favorite bunso made lambing to her Ates. She has a dance session that day, but since they are also scheduled for a dinner later, she thought of an idea, one that’s been sitting on her mind for quite a while now. And so she messaged their group chat.
🌸 Chaos ♾️
Sheena: Hello mga ate kong magaganda. See you later?
Mikha: See you later, bebe. But why do I feel like there’s something more in your message?
Jho: Tinawag tayong maganda, may kailangan yan.
Sheena: Mga judger.
Sheena: Grabe kayo sakin. Pero hehe
Mikha: Meron talaga
Sheena: Oo na, oo na.
Gwen: So anong meron, bebe?
Sheena: Bebe, I miss you so much.
Gwen: Nagkita tayo kahapon?
Sheena: Kahit na, I miss you pa rin. Pero eto na nga. May dinner naman tayo later diba? Ano kasi…
Stacey: ???
Sheena: Sunduin nyo naman ako sa studio. Wala naman kayo work diba?
Mikha: Called it, may kailangan nga.
Sheena: Sige na.
Jho: Ano pang silbi ng sasakyan mo?
Sheena: Thursday ngayon diba? Coding ako. Coding.
Mikha: Ah, ilan nga ulit sasakyan mo? May driver ka diba?
Sheena: Nagpahatid lang ako kay Kuya Robert. Pinag day off ko, may need aikasuhin daw sa bahay nila. Natatamad akong magdrive eh.
Stacey: Ate @ColetVergara may sinasabi panganay mo oh.
Sheena: De joke lang. Okay lang Ate Colet, walang kaso. Okay na okay. 10/10, will definitely recommend.
So ano na girls?
Colet: Galing talaga. Walang aangal ah. Settled na ‘to. Ako na last chat.
And so, everyone agrees on Colet’s idea. Wala naman sila no choice as their Ate Colet’s words are final.
Later that night, everyone’s already gathered at Sheena’s own dance studio. “So saan na tayo kakain?” Jhoanna, who just arrived and the last one to, asked the group.
“Somewhere BGC na lang para marami tayo option? Okay sa inyo?” Maloi suggested in which the group agreed.
“Fix your things Sheena Me. Tara na.” Colet said.
“Wait lang naman, may naisip ako,” Sheena said with a mischievous smile.
“Di ko gusto yung mga ganyang ngiti mo ha.”
“Alam mo Ate Colet, ikaw…”
“What’s on your mind this time, Sheena?” Aiah immediately butt in, saving the long conversation between Sheena and her favorite Ate as she claimed.
“Thank you for asking Ate Aiah. Ikaw na favorite ko, starting tonight.” which earned an eye roll from Colet. “So eto nga, since nandito na tayo sa dance studio…” everyone already reacted without letting Sheena finish as they already know what she’s gonna say.
“Sinasabi na, di lang sundo need nito,” Stacey said.
“Sa susunod na maglambing ka, di na kami bibigay agad agad,” Jhoanna warned.
“Bebe, last na naglambing ka, we ended up in Singapore.” Gwen remembered.
“At least ngayon di na tayo magbook ng flights. So ano? G kayo? Isa lang naman. Para marefresh mga buto nyo, mga trentahin na kayo oh. Need na natin igalaw gaalaw ulit ang inyong bones.”
“Dinner ba pinunta natin dito o sayaw?” Colet asked. “Ikaw nag suggest ka pa kasi na dito tayo mag meet, pwede naman kasing isa lang sumundo dyan,” Maloi told Colet.
“Tara na kasi mga ate ko. Karera dance break lang. Pang TikTok ko lang. Hehe.”
“I’m wearing heels, Sheena,” said their oldest. “Ako din,” Stacey second.
“Mag paa. I have spare shoes din if you want. But if mag paa kayo, then barefoot na tayo lahat. Please, please, please.”
“Hay, may magagawa pa ba kami Bebe?” Gwen to Sheena in which the latter replied with “Wala,” with her victorious smile.
“Talent fee ko dito ha. Pag ako di sineryoso ng mga future clients ko.” Mikha said as everyone moved to find their spot and stretched.
“Hindi yan future Atty. Lim. Mas dadami pa nga clients mo pag nakita nila to eh.”
And so everyone warmed up, stretching their bones as some of them haven’t danced since their last concert, some five years ago. But being passionate performers, it's like their body still knows how to move. Sheena was supposed to refresh them with the choreo but turns out, everyone still knows it by heart. It may not have been polished on their first take, it surprisingly looks so perfect on their third. It's like they are back to 2024, when they started making noise. Even their moves, the way their bodies sway, the synchronization, very 2024 Bini.
Once they were done, everyone slumped on the floor, all breathing heavily.
“Grabe, ang gagaling nyo pa rin,” the main dancer praised her members.
“You know Sheena, last mo na ‘to muna please. Parang my body will feel so sore in the morning.” Aiah said, catching her breath. Colet passed her water bottle to Aiah seeing that she badly needed it. Thankfully, she brought hers since she talks a lot during recording so she needs to stay hydrated. “Thanks,” Aiah said as she accepted the water.
“Hay naku Ate Aiah, undisputed groove queen ka pa rin kaya. Kuhang kuha mo pa rin yung choreo. And everyone, may bottled water dun sa sulok. Kuha lang kayo, mukhang kailangan nyo eh.” Sheena teased. “Piskit ka,” Colet said as she stood up to grab water for her members, followed by Mikha. Their two silent angels, always.
When everyone was calm and freshened up, they decided to leave before they got caught in traffic and dinner rush. They split into two cars. Turns out, Maloi was with Colet during recording so they got there together and Aiah just booked a Grab saying she doesn't wanna hassle herself in parking. Stacey and Jhoanna also arrived with Mikha as they lived within the same area. While Gwen was just driven to the studio by her driver and just asked to be picked up later. And so as planned, the three oldest will ride together with their bunso, as Colet insisted. Jhoanna and Stacey’s noise will be too much for Mikha to handle, she says.
Unknown to everyone, while on the way to the restaurant, Sheena posted their dance session on her social media. “BINI one more time. Ang gagaling pa rin ng mga Ate ko magsayaw, parang di mga trentahin.” she captioned. Once posted, she turned off her data connection and unlocked her phone, setting it to DND. Time to enjoy her time with her Ates, she said to herself.
