it was 2am, and still incredibly hot in goiky somehow.
well actually, there was a heatwave, so i guess that explains it.
x had finally been able to dose off on his & fours couch as they were watching the television.
however he was awoken by the freezer being opened by four.
“huh?” x mumbled, tiredly turning his head to look at their partner. “foury, i know its boiling, but it is two o’clock in the morning you will bounce off the walls if you have an ice lolly.”
“I'm not getting an ice lolly, x.” x’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion, that is until four pulled out the bag of ice they have in their freezer.
“i am simply going to eat some ice !” four said, putting his hands on his hips, still holding the ice.
x stuttered in confusion and all they could let out was an incredibly confused “what”
“i’ll have you know its incredibly cold- well its ice, so obviously- and perfect for warm weather!” four sounded WAY too experienced in eating ice.
“righttt,,, okay, could i try it ?” x asked, tilting his head.
“oh, of course you can ! its very good, x. incredible”
four was extremely excited about this, for some reason.
four poured some ice into a bowl and grabbed a spoon.
four walked over to x, bowl in hand. the movie the two of them were watching still playing, until x grabbed the remote and turned it off.
x picked up the spoon that four had set down and picked up a piece of the ice with it.
four had a smirk on his face, you can tell they're trying not to laugh.
x immediately spat the ice back onto the spoon, "OHMYBASKETTHATISCOLD!. foury, i mean this with the utmost love, but HOW do you eat that."
"because you did it wrong! you're supposed to wait for it to melt a bit before you eat it. makes it easier!" x was listening to them carefully, although he wasn't planning on trying that again.
"well, you enjoy your ice, foury." x said tiredly, shifting closely into four.
four wrapped his arm around them in response.
"love you,," x said, drifting off into sleep.
"love you too." four responded softly, planting a kiss on x's cheek.
