The teacher smiled as she looked down at the kids and their parents. "Welcome, everyone! Today is career day, where your parents are going to tell us about their jobs!"
Her eyes landed on Michelle. "Michelle, where are your parents?"
"They couldn't make it." Michelle stood up. "But I can tell you all about their jobs!"
"Okay then." The teacher nodded, stepping aside for Michelle to stand in the front of the classroom.
"My papa is a judge! And the people give him a lot of money! He says they're paying him to make sure they don't go to jail!" Michelle smiled proudly. "And my other papa gives people candy! He says I'm not allowed to have it, though. And they give him a lot of money too!" Michelle paused, and then added, "He also collects organs!"
The teacher looked down at Michelle, her expression now one of slight worry. "Michelle, honey, do you know the name of the candy?"
"Uhhhhh..." Michelle shrugged. "Nope! But papa says it's only for his customers..."
"You two were called here because your daughter has said some very concerning things about your jobs." The teacher leaned forward in her desk.
Gallerian's fingers tapped on the armrest, his other hand holding his other daughter, Nemesis's, hand. "What kind of things?"
"Well, today was career day. She mentioned something about one of you accepting bribes? And one of you giving out 'adult candy'. And collecting organs." Her eyebrow raised. "Care to explain?"
Zhen Hong spoke up. "I'm a pharmacist. I give people medicine. Little Michelle here is so curious about my job. Isn't that right?" He looked down at Michelle with a relaxed smile, who was sitting in his lap.
Michelle nodded. "Yeah! You said the candy makes them feel all happy inside!"
"About the bribes," Gallerian said, "I'm an actor. Currently, I'm playing the role of a corrupt judge. She was probably talking about that."
"I see." The teacher seemed to relax. "What about the alleged organ collecting?"
"I collect the instruments. I only have a few, but it's a hobby of mine." Zhen Hong chuckled.
"But-" Michelle began, but Zhen Hong whispered, "If you stay quiet, I'll get you all the chocolate you want tomorrow. Okay?"
Michelle nodded.
"Okay. I'm sorry for causing such a fuss." The teacher reached into her drawer, handing a lollipop to Michelle and Nemesis. "Is this Michelle's older sister?"
"Yeah I am." Nemesis looked up. "Dad had me with an affair with-"
"Kids say the weirdest things sometimes! Where did you learn that word?" Gallerian smiled down at his daughter, but his eyes gave her the look of 'Please, shut up'.
"...I saw it on TV." Nemesis said.
"Ahaha! I'll have to pay more attention to what you're watching!" He picked up Nemesis. "We'll be leaving now."
