The pathway to the top of the castle is now open, the final conformation with Flowery is at hand.
But before the Flower King could be rescued (Or just talked some sense into) the valiant heroes need to rest their bodies and souls.
One cannot fight an anime man on a hungry stomach after all.
So that's why Kris, Susie and Ralsei are now resting at Green's cafe, the atmosphere is as chill and relaxing as the chef behind the counter.
Kris' body moves to the empty table in the cafe and takes a look at the list of people that can be invited, while a few seem interesting only one catches their attention. And to Kris' belayed joy their body picks the one they were hoping to meet.
A moment later across the table stands the person that is making their... Well not heart because that has been taken away from them, but their insides (minus the red bastard) feels unusually warm when watching the Pink girl across from them.
''Hey, blue idiot!'' The mad spirit inside the Mew Mew doll calls out to Kris with a toothy grin. ''I'm glad you invited me here, because uh...'' She gets nervous as she tries to find the words.
''you mean me?'' Aqua asks before being dragged away by Seth.
''Well, I have something to tell you... This body, it still feels doki~doki for you.'' She explains with a hesitant yet determined voice and Kris' mind begins to race. ''Look, I might not want this myself but... I can't get in the way of true love, so for my body's sake-'' Her expression quickly shifts to a very excited and cute expression. ''-Let's date!''
While Kris' mind is going mile a minute over the sudden confession, their Soul is having a similar yet a different reaction. 'Yo for real!? Ah, but I bet Kris is totally gonna ditch them, they hate anime after all, man why can't you play ball for once dude?' The Soul anguishes over their mute cage as they know where this is going.
Before Kris could do anything, or the Soul even being given a choice to reply some way, Susie and Ralsei walk up to the table holding drinks, having overheard the confession.
''Dude, you know that Kris flirts with like, Every enemy, right?'' Susie answers for their friend with a suspicious look.
''I mean, we were just ACTing to win the battle after all.'' Ralsei continues with a soft if an awkward smile.
''Wa- Whaaat!?'' Pink yells out in shock.
'Yeah I figured this would happen.' The Soul sighs inside their flesh prison.
''Hm?'' Susie suddenly speaks up while looking at Kris, her expression turning to surprise. ''Wait, you're saying this time it was for real?''
'Huh?' The Soul is taken a back, what does she mean by that?
''O-Oh, well if that's how you feel then I'll take back my words, uhm, sorry for the confusion Pink.'' Ralsei blushes while apologizing to the cat idol.
'What just hap- Wait a minute, Kris did you...'
''R-really? So you were being honest?'' Pink asks Kris before their expression shifts to a glare. ''And you weren't just playing with her heart like a cat's cradle right!?''
Suddenly there is finally a choice given to the Soul, they see two options in front of them.
*Let's date!
*I was playing it like chess actually
The Soul looks at the options and it's a no brainer what they want to pick... But first.
'Dude! Are you actually okay with this? Like you're not playing a prank again or something right? I thought you didn't like anime, and Pink is like... The most anime thing here, even compared to Flowery.' The Soul communicates directly with Kris, they've done this many times before but have never gotten a reply back, understandable really, but this time?
*You feel your head nod slightly, so only you can notice it and no one else
'Kris my man! Uh, my... Them? Whatever, dude! You're finally responding back! And you're finally playing hookey!? Oh bro we are gonna have such a good time, though I'll be honest I thought Susie would be more up your alley.' The Soul excitedly talks to Kris
*You tell them to shut the hell up
'Okay okay I get it, I'm just... Excited okay? Well, let's proceed shall we? ...Sorry I didn't meant it like that.' Soul apologizes.
*You tell them that you don't know what you mean by that, hurry up.
'I will!' The Soul replies before hitting the first option.
*Let's date!
''Ah! You're making my heart go even more doki~doki, mew!'' Pink replies with a gleeful squee.
''Woah, you're actually gonna go on a date with her? Well..'' Susie rubs the back of her head for a moment before smirking. ''Go get them champ, oh hey maybe you can carry them on water like I did!''
''I don't know, the nearest river is pretty far away, though maybe the hot baths would suffice? But Kris is kinda short so they'd just be floating in water together.'' Ralsei comments before shaking his head. ''Uh, wait a minute, is now really a good time to go on a date? I mean we still have to deal with Flo-''
''Dude it's fine! Not like Flowery's planning on doing anything bad, Kris can take a break.'' Susie pats Ralsei hard on the back.
''But the Knight!'' Ralsei pipes up.
''...Okay that might be a problem.'' Susie turns to look at Kris. ''Make it a quick date okay?''
*You give Susie a nod and a thumbs up
''Hell yeah dude.'' Susie gives Kris a thumbs up in return while Ralsei still frowns slightly.
''Well... If it's a short one I guess it's fine.'' Ralsei relents.
''Yay! C'mon, I know a kawaii place we can go, mew!'' Pink tells Kris before going over to Kris, grabbing them by their hand and running away with the blue idiot flying in the wind from her force.

''...So you ever saw Kris being into cat girls?'' Susie asks Ralsei.
''Well, they have always been pretty excited to talk to Tasque Manager.'' Ralsei comments.
''Hm... I think they were friends with Catti, did those two ever have a thing?'' Susie now wonders how deep does Kris' fascination with cats go, she always thought they were more of a dog person, or is it because of that they like cats? Because opposites attract or something? Well she did get with Noelle and Susie knows she's vastly different from her so maybe there's some truth to that. ''...You got someone you're secretly into?''
''H-huh!?'' Ralsei blushes when being asked. ''Uh, well I... There is a certain someone I guess.''
''Oh?'' Susie's eyes widen. ''Who are they, c'mon spill the beans, I'll wingman you!''
''Haha, well, funny you speak of wings because-''
''No fucking way dude.'' Susie's expression drops in shock.

As Pink and Kris walk across the Flower Castle they've arrived at the bonzai garden near where Yellow tried to bury himself alive, thankfully the gore scene that Aqua made has been cleaned so the date isn't ruined by a would be murder scene.
'Okay I gotta ask you this Kris, which ones your fave? Maddie or Mew?' The Soul asks their blue thing.
*You ask who Maddie is.
'Oh right, you wouldn't know, that's the name of the ghost that makes one half of Pink... Well I think at least.' The Soul replies. 'But you know what I mean.'
*You think about it for a moment before answering with Mew Mew.
'Oooh, really huh? Didn't really expect you to be into those kinds of girls, though I guess it makes sense why you would not be into beings who possess others...' The Soul coughs.
*Yeah
'...Well Maddie's my favorite, she's got that uh, spice you know?' The Soul replies. 'Too bad it seems like she's not that into this idea though, so uh... Guess I'll try to mimic her and not do anything, hey maybe you could rip me out so you can be alone with her?'
*You feel like that would be a bad idea inside a Dark World
'Yeah you're probably right, I'll just... Try to not to peep? Hard to go blind with this set up though.' The Soul wonders how they could Kris some privacy while still being in control of them, a question that has plagued them for years, they're glad how things are going, they're making some real progress with Kris and they don't want to mess things up now.
Kris meanwhile is feeling... Odd, on one hand they're on a date with their childhood crush ever since accidentally seeing one of Alphys' videos she left around the school, but on the other hand the red bastard inside them is being... Understanding? Nice? They were not expecting this from them.
Maybe... Maybe things could be better between the two of them.
The idea almost makes them gag but... There is a tinge of hope inside them, that maybe this... Live of a puppet, could be made better.
Especially when a good example of such a relationship is right next to them.
The ghost possessing the doll, a Lightner and a Darkner is harmony, sure it took a battle with bombs and visual novels to come to that conclusion, but still... They're getting along.
So why can't they?

*...You quietly tell them that they don't need to hide
'Huh? Did you say that to Pink?' The Soul asks, the scene hasn't changed and Pink is still just smiling and blushing while holding Kris' hand.
*You meant you... You know what you mean.
'Oh you do mean me! ...Is it that hard for you to use 'I' in a sentence?' The Soul asks.
*Yeah it is you red bast- Sorry, just answer.
'Sorry sorry, but... What do you mean by that I don't need to hide?' The Soul asks again.
*You tell them that... Maybe they could be like Pink, that they don't need to be hidden from others, from her at least.
'You... You want to tell her about me? And you... Want me to be with you on the date?' The Soul asks Kris, this... This is more then they could have expected from them, is Kris finally opening up?
*You tell them that is exactly what you mean.
'...Kris.' The Soul responds quietly. 'Nothing would make me happier.'
*Then it is settled.
Kris stops and turns to look at Pink who's confused as to why they've stopped.
''Hm? Is something wrong?'' Pink asks them.
*You tell them that you're okay with both of them.
''H-huh? You mean m-me?'' The spirit possessing the doll answers nervously, Kris nods. ''Wh-What the hell you mean me as well?! I'm not the one who's heart's going doki~doki for you! I-Idiot!''
*Maybe, but my other heart is for you
''Your other heart? Wait...'' Pink looks at Kris in confusion for a moment before they figure out something. ''You're... Like me, right?''
*You nod to her and say yes
The Soul sees an option box presented to them.
*Hello.
*(Abort plan)
The Soul picks the first option, they can't back down now with how things are going.
''Huh? So you really are two... Just like her and I.'' Pink looks at Kris with a newfound understanding in their eyes. ''Are you... Also a ghost?''
Another choice.
*I am a SOUL, so... Kinda? But not really.
*I don't know.
The Soul thinks about it for a moment before picking the first option, both are truthful as the Soul is confused about themselves but they don't want to confuse Pink at this moment either.
''A Soul?'' Pink asks before their expression shifts to awe. ''Ah! You're so alike! What is a Soul but not a spirit? And what is a ghost but a spirit as well! Ah we have so much in common, meow!''
*You really do
''Did you possess Kris because... You wanted your own body as well?'' Maddy asks the Soul.
The Soul thinks about it for a good moment, they... Well, they do want a body of their own, it would solve many things, give them autonomy and give Kris freedom, so she's half right.
*You explain to her that... Their situation is weird, but they do want their own body as well.
''...So we really do have much in common.'' The spirit says gently, she feels a connection before she opens her eyes in panic as she remembers something. ''H-hey wait a minute! Go back a second but uh... D-did you say that the Soul liked me?'' The spirit asks while sweating a bit, she can't help but feel a little interested.
Yet another choice appears.
*You're my favorite.
*I want to lick your armpits
The Soul things they should save the second choice for the third date, so they pick the first one.
''F-favorite? I mean- Of course I am! Why wouldn't I be!? Hahahahaha!!!'' They laugh nervously before finally calming down. ''Uhm, thanks for that... But uh, what now exactly? We make this a... D-Double date? Not that I have anything against it!''
*That is fine with you.
''Oh that would be lovely! We can all have fun together~!'' Pink says excitedly. ''I uh, I guess we're doing this then.''
And so the two bodies with two minds each went on their date, they had a nice walk in the bonzai garden, watching beetles drown in sand.
They enjoyed the large flowers that belonged to blue and made sure not to harm any so Yellow wouldn't have another episode.
And finally they went to the top of the castle and watched the multicolored sunset together, the mysterious wind in air carrying sakura petals along with it, making the scene super romantic.
And Flowery was watching all of this with a smile on his face. ''Good on you Kris! Get distracted! Enjoy your fantasies as your father and I are! Hahahahaflowershahahah!'' He then jarona'd into the sky with the sun in his eyes.
...
A while later Kris is laying down, relaxing after a long day, their body tense... But their mind finally at peace.
'So... We cool now Kris?' The Soul asks while smoking a cigarette.
*You say you're cool.
'Nice.' The Soul smiles.
Suddenly from the dark the two can hear a familiar voice speak up. ''Ah shit, did the Knight get here!?'' Susie asks.
''No the lights are just out... Hey I think I found the switch.'' Ralsei's voice pierces through the darkness.
The lights get turned on revealing Kris laying on a big, queen sized pink frilly bed with both halves of Pink snuggling against them, visible pink lipstick marks showing on their face and all over their body while their hair is a mess.
Susie and Ralsei look at them for a second in shock before Ralsei turns off the lights, Kris only hears quiet footsteps leaving the room.
...
*That'll be awkward to deal with later.
'Yeah... Good luck with that.' The Soul smirks.
*You bitch
