Work Text:

The breeze of the mid-spring gently wove mephone's hair with the celestial bodies high up, where he couldn't reach.
It was a beautiful evening, near dusk and the sun was slowly setting, never to be seen again. Small blades of grass surrounded mephone's legs, as he started into the emptiness.

Every action came back to him faster than he was prepared for. Every mistake came back to bug his mind, every harsh word, everything. He sighed and fixated his look somewhere else. The sky turned his back, looking forward to other things.

He wanted to leave oh so bad. He wanted to turn into obscurity. Never to be seen again. The android had already thought beforehand how bitter his name must feel to the people around him.

He already knew he fucked up. And he couldnt turn back either.

Mephone took a quick glance at his velvet hoodie. Took the time to brush his eyes over it. To appreciate it for the last time.
Slowly, mephone took it off and postitioned the hoodie so it was wide spread, with it's sleeves out.

The android decided to leave a small gift behind, for the others to find it, if they ever do.
Near was a patch of hyacinths. Delicately, he made his way to them and picked up a few purple hyacinths. Purple was one of his favorite colours anyways. A colour that reminded him of sweet times. Or atleast, the few times he got to taste joy.

He placed the 2 flowers on the hoodie, wrapping around them the sleeves. He was adjacent to being bare: bitter sleeves of deep cuts wrapped around each arm, counting every failure he has ever made and each cry every soul weaved.

Mephone took a few steps forward, looking at the navy blue sky again. It was already night.

Microphone later found the spot. The spot where a wilted soul once was. The only remnant she found was a velvet hoodie with 2 beautiful blossomed flowers. She brushed her fingers over the things. The only testimonial that somebody was once here. Hopefully, that somebody must've been mephone4.

When she looked into the horizon, deep into the dark forests and patches of bloomed life.

But life was nowhere to be found. It had been lost a long time ago.
