Notes:

Might make small edits at some point.

I'm so sorry for not having written anything, life is alot (no, not ao3 author curse, I've always been depressed, if anything it's going upp.) I haven't had motivation, and I can't write if I have no idea what to write. I will, from now on, try to only post completed works, so that ypu don't have to read half and then wait a year for the next part. I haven't given up on my stories, I write small snippets occasionally, but it'll take time.

Chapter Text

Hal sat in the meeting, waiting for it to be over. Then, because of course, right before he was finally free, Spooky interjected.

“I'm Bruce Wayne.” He said calmly.

Hal looked up, one eyebrow raised. “You make jokes now?”

“Well, I have since the start. This isn't a joke however.”

“Funny. Can we go home now?” Hal would normally have more to say about Batman joking, but he was tired.

Batman sighed, brought his hand up to his face, and Hal only realized what he was doing after the fact. There stood a tired, scarred, messy haired version of Bruce Wayne. In the batsuit.

The room was deathly silent for all of three seconds. Then, Barry being the fastest, recovered first. “You're his secret twin?”

“I believe you, friend.” Diana glared pointedly at Barry. “I am however suprised.”

“I expected that.” Spooky- Bruce Wayne's twin???- said. But his voice was softer, raspy instead of gravel, deep instead of inhuman. “You can go home now Hal” he smiled.

“No.” Hal said simply. “No, cuse you can't tell me you're actually Bruce Wayne!”

“Don't Bruce Wayne have a reputation for being extremely clumsy?” Barry asked. “And, well, an airhead?”

“It takes a lot of effort to figure out how clumsy is too clumsy.”

“How many times have I saved you from kidnappers?” Arthur spoke up “Thirty something times? And you've complimented my hair each time”

“You have very nice hair” Spooky nodded.

“Prove you're Bruce Wayne.” Hal said without thinking. How would he prove it further than showing them his face!? But he still didn't believe it.

“How would I do that?” Spooky asked.

“I dont know. Try me.”

Hal could see Spooky rolling his eyes. Then he changed. His stand became loose, his smile turned flirty, his eyes turned empty of thoughts, and when he spoke his voice was exactly that of Bruce Wayne's. “Oh, I'd love to try you out, Hal”

Barry screamed. In fear, shock, hysteria or all three, Hal could not tell.

The rest stared as Bruce Wayne turned back into Batman. His stance, his face, the very air around him.

“I've perfected the act over years now, I don't blame you for not seeing through it.”

“Wait, doesn't Bruce Wayne have kids!?” Clark yelled.
