Chapter Text
“Wild? Rulie? What the fuck are you doing on the roof?” Two heads peaked out at Legend- wait.
”TIME? WHY ARE YOU ON THE ROOF??”
”Come on, Ledge! Don’t you want to see the shooting stars?” Hyrule said, leaning over the edge of the roof to peak down at him.
”Huh- Shooting stars? What shooting stars?” Legend asked. “Also, Time, Malon is going to absolutely kill you for this shit.”
”I’m completely aware,” Time hummed, grabbing the back of Hyrule’s shirt to pull him a bit away from the ledge. “But I couldn’t leave these boys unsupervised up here. And watch your language, these two are still babies.”
”We’re not babies!” Wild protested. “We are twelve years old, and very capable of taking care of ourselves!”
”Wild, I’m only eleven and a half.”
”It’s close enough!”
”Calm down boys,” Time chuckled. “You don’t want to miss the shooting stars.”
”Oh yeah! Come on, Ruile!” Wild yelped, and they scurried back up the roof again, leaving Time and Legend staring at each other.
”You coming? You loved this kind of thing when you were younger.”
”Yeah, well. I’m not a little kid anymore, Time,” Legend sighed. “I grew up.”
”Ah. Well, that’s too bad,” Time said.
”Yeah it is.”
”Uh huh. Though I bet Hyrule would be really happy if you hung out up here for a bit…” Damn. Time was good at guilt tripping.
”We have school tomorrow, you know. You’ll have to deal with a cranky Rulie.”
”Like I said, I understand the future pain I’ve put upon myself by doing this.” Legend paused, glaring up at the old man.
”Fine. But don’t blame me when Malon comes sniffing.”
