so leif uses he/him nullris uses any
Leif was a normal player who just wanted to exist.
nullris was an entity who randomly(?) got attached to him.
Leif was peacefully mining an oak tree to build a shack(hopefully) and he noticed a black blob moving behind a tree. he told himself nothing was in his world and that he's just seeing shit. how he wished he was right.
Nullris wanted to get a closer look at the human in the world. they wore a grey suit with a black arm looking like it infested onto him, it seemed he could control it as it would materialize into any tool he needed. he wanted to get closer.
Leif wipes his glasses and face all the while he still felt watched and wanted to get building before night time but he swore every time he turned around something disappeared. it made him uneasy...
nullris keeps trying to get closer but failed at being sneaky, luckily the human was oblivious as hell. he kept following from behind slowly driving the player into paranoia. by accident of course, but he kept following.
Leif finally found a flat spot to build a house at. it was a nice over-cliff hang above water with a village across(crazy find ikr?) he prepared to build when he suddenly saw a dark figure speckled with gold everywhere in his void body. it was just staring at him. Leif freaked out and tried running, only to remember that he was in fact on a cliff and tripped and fell into the river below.
Nullris realized he got too close and rushed to save the human before he fully fell to his death. as he was about to catch him the human screamed and punched nullris straight in his eye(yeowch). nullris doesn't get injured easily but after the punch leif stabbed him with his weird arm and nullris shocked leif by grabbing him and embracing all the impact of the fall.
leif is confused why the weird creature saved him, especially after how he injured it(did he injure it?) and it still... saved him? why? what was the thing's motive? was it toying with him? leif goes full dissociation with many questions.
while leif is... questioning things, nullris wakes up with a horrible pounding pain in his head. he tries to sit up but can't as the player is... LAYING ON THEM? they notice leif is in a sort of daze-like trance. he debates staying but knows that the player will just freak out and run away so he tries moving themself out from beneath the player. he fails(bc leif is FAT/jk) and accidentally gets even closer to leif's face. he teleports away in an instant. leif lands face first into sand which hurt.
leif wondered where the entity left to and how it disappeared so fast, then concluded that that's how it kept following him without steps.
the player finally got up from the sand(bro was laying there still?) and went back to try and finish his shack, which needed so much wood and cobble, so much cobble...
the entity continued stalking leif but slightly closer. he questioned why he wanted to be closer to the man who screamed like a girl and punched his big beautiful eye?(how rude of Leif) the player knew but he honestly didn't care now that he knew the entity wasn't entirely of bad intent, though he did question that from time to time.
leif finished his shack and ngl it's not too shabby(it is). nullris keeps stalking him when leif notices and stares for a quick second. why did that make nullris feel weird? they teleport away in confusion and Leif learns to scare away(fluster) the entity to leave him alone for two days.
a few days pass and Leif hasn't seen the weird entity around anymore. he questioned why he even cared. for all he knows he fears it and nullris can easily torture and kill him if they wanted to, he's seen the entity's strength so why didn't he? he couldn't place it. he's been laying in his bed for an unknown amount of time trying to solve questions left unanswered. the entity has been in his pocket dimension trying to figure out a gift for leif(time moves weirdly in pocket dimensions folks) and lost track of time so he decided to make a bouquet of organs(wow how beautiful-). he teleports just outside the player's house and knocks... then again... and one more time. no answer. nullris questioned if Leif was okay, and then starts looking through his windows to see if he could find him. he did. he was just lying in bed, he looked lost in thought. a random thought came to nullris before it brushed it away. it knocked at his window with a weird expression meant to mimic a smile(?) with his single eye.
leif snaps out of his thoughts and sees the entity up close for the second time only this time at his window with a... bouquet? of organs? he sees the entity disappear. probably teleporting to the front door. leif debated getting up and opening the door but dragged himself up anyways and went to his door.
the entity has to lean to see the door correctly and holds the bouquet awkwardly(fucking chud) and knocks a few times... leif opens the door and accepts the bouquet much to the entity's surprise. the entity blushes a tint of gold and teleports away before leif can say anything. Leif has no idea what to do with this... organ bouquet. he knows it's animal guts but it's still interesting, and he's hungry.
the entity has no idea what the player did to him. was it an infection? a virus? a sickness??(can his ass even get sick?) he had mixed feelings about the way the player took the bouquet with no second thoughts. did the player?-
leif lays in bed too lazy to do anything productive. he caught himself wondering about the entity. why did he care about it now? he would've punched it in the eye again if it even came nearby.
the player felt stuffy in the house so he went out to relax on the cliffside. he hears a soft "thud" behind him a few feet back.
the player still had the bouquet(is it even one still?) and grabbed a random organ and bit into it, which shocked the entity. nullris realized he never heard him speak nor seen him eat so this was a surprise for him. the entity studied his features(weirdo) and noticed he had extremely sharp teeth along with gold eyes? he wonders why his glasses were so tinted that you couldn't normally see them.
leif got up and put the organs in his fridge(ik this is mc but just, SHADUP) for later. he didn't know why the entity never attacked him while he was eating, seemingly studying him. his conclusion is that it was looking for his weakness.
