Summary:

One random morning, Sawamura Eijun and Kuramochi Youichi switch bodies, featuring the chaos they create to the team.

Notes:

Actually planned to make it Eijun and Miyuki body switch but I figured Kuramochi and Sawamura pairing would be pure chaotic.

Anyway happy reading~~

Work Text:

One morning, Eijun jolted awake from the sound of an unfamiliar alarm ringing loudly beside him. Half-asleep, he rolled over—

And immediately fell off the top bunk.

“GAHHH!”

THUD!

“…Ow…”

He groaned while rubbing his face before slowly blinking his eyes open.

His face hurt.

Eijun had fallen off beds plenty of times before, but it had never hurt this much.

“…Ow… ow…”

Still dizzy, he looked around the room in confusion.

Despite the loud crash, his roommates didn’t seem disturbed at all. Masuko was still sleeping peacefully, and even the “cheetah” on the upper bunk hadn’t moved.

Eijun slowly crawled toward his bed—

Only to freeze.

Someone was sleeping there.

Positioned on their side.

Facing the wall.

Eijun blinked.

“…Huh?”

Slowly—

Very slowly—

He looked closer.

And nearly screamed.

Sleeping peacefully on the lower bunk—

Was himself.

“…EH?!”

Eijun stumbled backward so violently that he crashed into the desk.

The loud noise finally woke the sleeping “Eijun” below.

“…Shut up, idiot…” the figure muttered sleepily before sitting upright.

Then both of them froze.

Silence filled the room.

Kuramochi Yoichi’s face.

Sawamura Eijun’s face.

“…AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH?!”

The scream echoed throughout the entire dorm.

•••

A minute later.

“You idiot! Why are you using my face to scream like that?!” Kuramochi shouted while aggressively pulling Eijun’s cheeks.

“IT HURTS! Also, why is your strength so monstrous, Mochi-senpai?!”

“THAT’S MY LINE!”

The two continued yelling across the room while Masuko silently watched everything with dead eyes.

Watching “Eijun” headlock “Kuramochi” was honestly making him question reality.

Finally—

Masuko slowly lifted his notebook.

‘What happened?’

Eijun immediately pointed dramatically at Kuramochi.

“Mochi-senpai stole my body!”

“WHY WOULD I WANT YOUR STUPID BODY?!”

“THEN GIVE MINE BACK!”

“I CAN’T!”

“Eijun” snapped and launched himself at “Kuramochi” once again.

•••

Unfortunately—

Things only became worse from there.

At breakfast—

Eijun, currently trapped inside Kuramochi’s body, politely greeted every upperclassman he saw.

“Morning, senpai!”

The entire cafeteria froze.

Because Kuramochi Yoichi—

Was politely calling everyone “senpai.”

Meanwhile—

Kuramochi, currently inside Eijun’s body, casually dropped into the seat beside Miyuki.

“Oi, Miyuki. Pass the soy sauce.”

Silence.

Absolute silence.

Miyuki slowly lowered his chopsticks.

“…Sawamura.”

“Hm?”

“Why are you ordering me around? I’m your senpai.”

Kuramochi realized his mistake too late.

Across the cafeteria, Eijun nearly fainted.

“AHHHH! Don’t disrespect Miyuki Kazuya using my body!”

“SHUT UP!”

Then suddenly—

WHAM!

Everyone watched in horror as “Kuramochi” launched a perfect wrestling tackle at “Sawamura.”

Except—

The movements were completely wrong.

Because the one expertly performing wrestling moves—

Was actually Eijun.

While the one getting slammed into the floor—

Was Kuramochi.

“…What the hell am I looking at?” Isashiki muttered.

Even Miyuki looked disturbed.

•••

After several failed explanations and absolutely zero understanding from everyone else, the two finally agreed on one thing.

They needed to act normal.

“Fine,” Kuramochi grumbled. “We’ll switch roles until we figure this out.”

Eijun nodded seriously.

“I understand, Mochi-senpai.”

“…Shit. Why do you sound more respectful using my face?”

“I am respectful!”

“Just shut up, Bakamura!”

•••

Practice became a complete disaster.

“Kuramochi!”

“Hai!”

Eijun nervously ran toward shortstop position.

Then immediately missed the ground ball completely.

The ball rolled straight between his legs.

Silence.

Ryousuke adjusted his cap while smiling darkly.

“…You suck, Youichi,” he said bluntly.

“GAHHH! Onii-san senp—”

Before Eijun could emotionally recover—

A furious “Sawamura” suddenly drop-kicked him from behind.

“STOP RUINING MY REPUTATION!”

“Mochi-senpai?! Ow! Ow! My back!”

Meanwhile—

Bullpen practice somehow turned out even worse.

Kuramochi gripped the baseball inside Eijun’s body with visible frustration.

“How the hell do you throw with these weird fingers?!”

“Just throw naturally!” Eijun yelled from outside the bullpen.

“I AM!”

FWOOOSH!

The ball flew nearly ten meters above Miyuki’s head, who was taking a break on the side. Miyuki barely dodged out of the way.

“…Sawamura.” he said slowly.

“What?!”

“…Should I call an ambulance?”

“SHUT UP!”

Outside the bullpen, Eijun screamed while gripping the fence dramatically.

“THAT’S MY BODY! STOP DESTROYING MY REPUTATION!”

“YOU NEVER HAD A REPUTATION!”

Miyuki quietly watched the chaos unfold with growing amusement.

Honestly—

This was probably the funniest thing he had ever witnessed.

•••

By the end of practice, Seidou had completely descended into confusion.

Everyone watched as “Kuramochi” sprinted across the field at terrifying speed while running away in complete panic.

Behind him—

“Sawamura” chased after him while screaming like a maniac.

“GET BACK HERE, BAKAMURA!”

“NO WAY! YOU’LL KILL ME!”

The entire team stared silently as both of them disappeared into the distance.

“…I think,” Tojou said carefully, “something is seriously wrong with those two.”

“No kidding,” Kanemaru replied immediately.

•••

Unfortunately—

The chaos eventually became bad enough that even Coach Kataoka stepped in.

After practice, the entire team stood lined up on the field while “Kuramochi” and “Sawamura” continued glaring at each other from opposite sides like angry stray cats.

Coach Kataoka silently adjusted his sunglasses. “Kuramochi. Sawamura.”

Both immediately stiffened.

“Hai!”

The coach stared at them quietly for several long seconds.

“…Are you two messing with the team?”

Silence.

The entire field became deathly quiet.

Eijun instantly panicked. “N-No, Boss! We really switch—”

Kuramochi immediately smacked him across the head.

“Shut up!”

“OW?!”

Kataoka’s expression somehow became even scarier.

“…Do you two want to run laps until dinner?”

“What?! No, Boss!”

“Don’t call Coach ‘Boss’ with my face! You’re making me look stupid!”

“MOCHI-SENPAI!”

The two immediately started yelling again.

The upperclassmen looked exhausted.

The first-years looked terrified.

And Miyuki—

Miyuki looked one second away from laughing himself unconscious.

Chris crossed his arms quietly while watching the chaos unfold. “…Their personalities really are reversed,” he muttered.

Even Tetsu looked strangely disturbed while watching “Sawamura” aggressively threaten to suplex “Kuramochi.”

Finally—

Coach Kataoka raised one hand.

Instant silence.

Then, in the calmest voice possible, he said:

“If you continue practicing like this…” Everyone unconsciously swallowed nervously. “…I’ll remove both of you from the first string.”

Silence.

Then—

“YES, PLEASE, COACH.”

The response came instantly from the entire team. Even the assistant coaches nodded.

Jun pointed dramatically at them. “Those idiots are destroying practice!”

“Shortstop became a war zone,” Ryousuke added calmly.

“Miyuki almost died in the bullpen,” Chris sighed.

“That wasn’t my fault!” Kuramochi shouted using Eijun’s face.

“THAT WAS COMPLETELY YOUR FAULT!” Eijun screamed back.

Masuko slowly lifted his notebook from the back of the group.

‘Please remove them.’

“MASUKO-SENPAI?!”

Even the silent Shirasu looked exhausted. “Honestly,” he admitted softly, “I got hit by three wild throws today.”

Watanabe immediately pointed at “Kuramochi.”

“And he kept calling me Nabe-senpai! It was terrifying!”

“I WAS TRYING TO BE POLITE!”

“STOP USING MY FACE LIKE THAT!”

Meanwhile, Miyuki finally lost the battle against his laughter.

“Hahahaha— seriously,” he wheezed while holding his stomach, “I’ve never seen Kuramochi bow to anyone in my life.”

“MIYUKI!”

Coach Kataoka sighed heavily beneath his shades. “…Figure yourselves out before tomorrow.”

“Hai…” Both answered weakly.

Then they froze. Because even their depressed voices had synchronized perfectly. The entire team collectively looked disturbed again.

•••

The next morning—

Eijun woke up feeling like his entire body had been beaten with a metal bat.

“…Ow…”

Everything hurt.

His shoulders.

His legs.

Even his cheeks somehow hurt.

Eijun groaned while clutching his blanket before slowly opening his eyes.

Then—

He froze.

Because he was lying on the lower bunk again.

His bunk.

Eijun slowly lifted his hands in front of his face.

Smaller hands.

Not Kuramochi’s terrifyingly strong hands.

His own hands.

Silence.

Then—

“AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! I’M BACK!”

His scream exploded throughout the room.

Eijun shot upright so fast he accidentally headbutted the bottom of the top bunk.

“OW— BUT I’M BACK!”

Above him—

A very irritated Kuramochi slowly peeked over the edge of the top bunk with bed hair sticking everywhere.

“…Shut up…”

Eijun immediately pointed upward dramatically with tears in his eyes.

“Mochi-senpai! It’s really you!”

“…Of course it’s me, idiot.”

Eijun nearly started crying from happiness.

“We switched back! WE SWITCHED BACK!”

Unfortunately—

He celebrated too loudly.

Because the next thing he saw was Kuramochi’s terrifying grin.

“…You know,” Kuramochi muttered while cracking his knuckles, “I still remember every embarrassing thing you did using my body yesterday.”

Eijun froze.

“…Eh?”

“Miyuki said I bowed like a kindergarten kid.”

“…Mochi-senpai, wait—”

“And Ryou-san called me pathetic.”

“…Listen—”

“And you made me call people from the same year as me ‘senpai.’”

“…I can explain—”

“GET OVER HERE, BAKAMURA!”

“GYAAAAAAAHHHHH!”

Kuramochi launched off the top bunk like a wild animal. Eijun screamed and immediately scrambled out of the room for his life.

“HEEEEELP!”

“COME BACK HERE!”

The dorm instantly exploded into chaos. Doors slammed open one after another. Sleepy upperclassmen stumbled into the hallway.

“What happened now?!”

“Why are they screaming this early?!”

“Did Sawamura die?”

Then everyone froze after seeing Kuramochi aggressively chasing Eijun down the hallway.

“…Wait,” Jun blinked slowly.

“That’s normal again,” Miyuki muttered while yawning from his doorway.

Sure enough—

Kuramochi was back in his own body.

And Eijun was finally back in his.

The entire hallway fell silent for one brief moment.

Then—

“THANK GOD.”

The collective relief from the dorm echoed loudly.

Unfortunately—

The peace only lasted three seconds.

“STOP RUNNING!”

“I DON’T WANT TO DIE!”

“GET BACK HERE!”

Kuramochi tackled Eijun directly into the hallway floor.

WHAM!

“GAHHHH!”

The two immediately started wrestling again while everyone watched with exhausted expressions.

Miyuki quietly leaned against the wall while laughing into his hand.

“…So nothing actually changed.”

“Not a single thing,” Chris sighed tiredly.

Meanwhile, Coach Kataoka silently closed his door again. He had decided not to get involved anymore.
