Work Text:

The morning came whenever Kanade woke up. The tiny rays were slipping through the gaps in the window, and kanade was already rubbing her eyes. Staring into the darkness for a while while internally she willed for her legs to move.

Her blank mind didn't give her anything to dwell on as it's purpose laid elsewhere. Her fingers clenched and unclenched, eventually her legs touched the floor and she opened the door of her room. She tiptoed in between the sheets of paper on the floor. It was unavoidable when she stepped on a few but she'd throw them away sooner or later anyway.

Gravity pulled on her hard, her hand gripped the door knob for a little bit, trying to wait out the dizziness in her eyes that never quite left her. In her boredom, her tongue swirled around her dry mouth, tasting something uncomfortable and tasteless.

The light of the living room hit her and her eyes immediately responded by shutting. She felt a little sharp wave of pain pass through her brain for a moment before she hesitantly started squinting her eyes until they adjusted. With narrowed vision, she made her way over to the bathroom.

Three toothbrushes. One is ought to be thrown out, not simply over the fact that it has not been used for years.

When she looked up on the mirror, she knew that her father would frown terribly as they both took in her appearance. Sunken cheeks, eye bags, the hair... Would he even dare to take care of her? Kanade can't imagine him shaking his head in response.

She splashes water in her face when blinking becomes annoying. She imagines her father drowning in a fantasy while the dirt disappears from her eyes. The water is warm.

Her eyes have become swollen by the time she hears the click on the bathroom door. Mafuyu enters, her eyes blinking with that little orb of light they adopted proudly. She's wrapped into warm hands and her voice instead of breaking turns into a little song.

Nothing moves for a few minutes and she's lost all care in the world, her feelings always mute in front of Mafuyu except for the slight sense of fear in the back of her heart. She registers it too late when Mafuyu has brought her into the bathtub, now filled with cold water.

"Do you feel warm?" Mafuyu asks as their naked bodies embrace against eachother. Mafuyu is touching her purple bruises and that makes her shiver, her skin is usually numb unless she presses hard and for some reason her mind is pestering her for that. But she doesn't voice that, instead, she grips Mafuyu tighter, body clinging pathetically to Mafuyu's.

Later on, she's left with the little ache of a new bruise upon her neck, red and beaming.

"Ah..."

She hopes that her father can't see them in his sleep, that he doesn't still linger in his room. His bed is being messed with.

Kanade sighs as her brain sends pain signals down her spine. Mafuyu bites, she likes biting and Kanade smiles upon Mafuyu's interests.

Her stomatch interrupts them. She whimpers as her blood is rushing all over still, preparing and waiting to get out while Mafuyu is giving her judgemental stares.

She moans as she feels Mafuyu press her finger on her stomach. It's pulsating right under her skin and it makes her a little embarrassed.

Mafuyu says something but her words don't register over her headache and her desire.

"I don't want to eat.." Her voice comes out as a breathy whisper and Mafuyu responds by humming down on her belly before taking a few bites herself. Not deep enough. Kanade's head tightens and the room is becoming darker as it fights the light.

Her nose is starting to pick up fake scents of old food by old hands. A familiar person enters her thoughts again but this time she doesn't attempt to forget, it's all rotten and she's too weak for that.

Overstimulation builds and they need to open up a window, this room is way too dangerous even if Mafuyu likes it this way.

She's a little mean. Not in the way that Ena describes it. She's just, way too... Her knee will press on her already sensitive spot, with too much force and her hands will follow by crawling around her body in an unpredictable pursuit. Her eyes will look at her but offer no comfort, despite that their light will combine with darkness in a beautiful way. If it wasn't so dark, maybe she would see a smile. But all she feels is wet, pathetically wet.

Her stomach fights the knots and the emptiness in a way that only hurts.

Her favourite part comes in later, after everything has gone quiet, Mafuyu is still there and Kanade is inside her arms. It reminds her that all kinds of warmth.
