Work Text:

"Come over, dear. I haven't seen you in a while— If you can find your way here, hehe."

Acheron doesn't need a reason to not accept Swan's request, perhaps other than her poor sense of direction. It's as if the wind always guides her to Swan's current abode anyway. Both women are never always in one place to the point that it seems they've adapted to a sixth sense to make it easy to track down where the other has run off to.

"Yes. I'll come."

And, in a shorter time than expected, Acheron has found her way to the hotel Black Swan is staying in, somewhere off in Penacony. She doesn't bother to knock on the door, since she already has an invitation to come from Swan.

She traverses the few rooms she has until she finds her sitting in a bath. The sight surprises Raiden for a moment before she remembers how unashamed her girlfriend is—this should not be surprising. She leans against the doorframe.

"Memokeeper… Hello."

Swan looks up from the light cone she was holding between her fingers. It disappears in an instant when she flicks it away. A fond smile crosses her face when she looks into Raiden's eyes.

"Pretty girl… You're here in record time." Her voice is suave, with that cunning tone that Acheron can't find herself forgetting. She places her hand on the side of the tub, running a finger back and forth.

"What is it that you wanted me here for?" Acheron asks, sounding more serious than needed. Swan laughs.

"I just wanted to see you. I'm sorry if it's a hindrance."

Swan climbs out of the bath with elegant, almost angelic movements, her bare body completely on display for a moment before she wraps a towel around herself. Acheron is glad her emotions aren't always accurately displayed on her face, as she would be majorly disappointed right about now.

"Not at all. I was doing nothing, alone, per usual." It sounds sad, but that's Acheron's reality.

"Ah… Me too."

Swan walks over to her, wrapping her arms around her. She looks into Acheron's eyes, a faint smile on her lips. She presses a swift kiss to the side of her mouth.

"I've bought you your peaches. Would you like some?" Swan's smile widens, already knowing her lady's answer. Acheron gives a smile back, her face lighting up.

"Of course."

Acheron now finds herself on Swan's couch, watching as she rummages through a cupboard with just a lacey lingerie bra and a pair of sweatpants—something she threw on right after her bath. The whale-tail of her panties is showing over the top of the hem, matching her bra. Acheron adores the sight. It's as domestic as it is cute.

"Here you go, baby." Swan gives her the bag.

Acheron opens it and instantly pulls out a peach, taking a big, fat bite out of it. A big smile crosses her lips. It has that spice and sweetness that Acheron can taste. Swan gazes at her with affectionate, sunset eyes.

"Good, as usual?" Swan says, a fleeting tease.

"Very," Acheron mutters through peach in her mouth. "Thank you."

Acheron's smile is contagious for Swan. She sits beside Acheron, a hand wrapping around her waist. Her other hand massages Acheron's abs underneath the tight fabric of her shirt. Raiden's strength is horribly attractive to Swan, especially when she's able to feel each ridge of her muscles, along with scars that batter her body.

Acheron, in return, runs her fingers through her long, light-purple hair. It's incredibly soft and a bit damp on the ends from the bath. She's barely paying attention when Swan takes a bite of the peach out of her hand. Her face crinkles up.

"Damn, how do you eat these things?!" Swan comments, and a chuckle follows. Even with Swan having a different body from mortals, therefore having different taste buds, they're still incredibly intense for her. Acheron faintly giggles.

After a moment of homely silence, Swan moves to rest her head on Acheron's thighs, a sly smile on her lips as she locks eyes with her.

"Haven't had a peach in a while? You eat as if you've gone hungry."

"My supply of peaches hasn't been as copious. Other places do not supply them as Penacony does."

"Good thing your wonderful girlfriend is here to feed you." Swan's voice is a pleasant tease, and a faint smile crosses Acheron's lips.

Swan will keep a constant supply of peaches if it means having her here. Who knows if she'll one day forget Swan completely? Maybe the strength of Nihility will make her entirely forget how romance ever felt. Swan wants to have time with her, while she knows Acheron can feel it.

"Swan. You look lost in thought," Acheron comments. Swan is snapped out of her depressing thoughts for a moment.

"Ah, sorry, my beautiful ranger," Swan murmurs. She runs a hand up Acheron's chest, focusing on the feel of her skin. "I was just thinking… Would you like to slow dance with me? There's no need for formal clothes; we may just dance around this apartment."

Acheron can sense that that's not what she originally had in mind, but she has no objections to that request. She remembers how she felt when she and Swan first danced together, and it's something she's always wanted to feel again.

"I'd love to," Raiden responds.

Black Swan sits up and climbs off the couch, striding over to a record player she has across the room, surrounded by tarot cards and candles. She bends down to grab a record from the shelf beneath, and she places a record onto the player. She moves the needle over, and the soft sounds of classical music start playing.

She walks back over to grab Raiden's hand, pulling her up off the couch and putting her hands around her waist. Acheron gazes down into those sunset eyes, a little bit unsure what to do. Swan giggles, guiding Acheron's arms to her waist and instead moving her own arms around Raiden's neck.

She's danced with Acheron before. Maybe she doesn't remember exactly how things went down, but Swan remembers every detail and every memory of Raiden Bosenmori Mei.

"Just like that, my lady," Swan whispers. Her body presses right against hers, and they sway slowly while the music floods their ears.

After a few moments of silence and just gentle swaying, Swan looks down at how Acheron is holding her; so reverent and careful, a complete contrast to what had occurred when they danced the tango. She looks back up into Acheron's eyes.

"This is perfect," Swan comments, her voice extra soft. Raiden nods.

"Yes. I will always appreciate this from you. Thank you."

"What, you mean the intimacy? You say it like it's a chore for me, dear."

Acheron's expression is left blank, meaning she has nothing to rebut that with. Swan smiles.

"I'll always do whatever to please you," Swan purrs. Acheron leans in to kiss her on the cheek. It's unlike her to do little gestures like that, but it's so perfect for this moment. Swan laughs affectionately.

"Oh, Acheron… You're so cute," Swan coos. A very faint blush crosses Acheron's cheeks.

"Thank you," she replies, too awkward for that kind of flirting.

They sway a bit more together, relaxing within the presence of each other. Swan glances out the big windows at the city below, admiring the sunset and all the lights from every building. It's as if the two of them are on top of the city right now.

Swan moves a leg to slot between Acheron's before she leans in to kiss her lips. Her hands cup her cheeks, keeping her in place as they slowly kiss.

Every time they kiss, it always feels like fireworks: beautiful, explosive, and unforgettable, at least for Swan. She wishes she could document every moment they've spent together.

The kiss deepens, with Swan's tongue delving into her mouth. Acheron does not hesitate to take control of the passion, tilting her head to get a better angle. Black Swan pulls her in closer with her arms around her neck.

They're intertwined with each other completely. Acheron leads Swan to dip down, holding her leg up. Black Swan softly giggles, grabbing Acheron's face. A small smile crosses Acheron's face. She pulls her back to stand up straight.

"Please don't ever leave my mind, Memokeeper."

Black Swan looks at her with a bit of surprise and adoration.

"I never will. We can stay here as long as you need."

Silence from Acheron.

"Thank you," she eventually murmurs.

Because all she's ever been for Black Swan is thankful.
