Chapter Text
Cory arrived at Sha-Ming’s house at around 9pm. The street was dark, and the lights from the houses cast shadows onto the empty road. He was slightly late, but he was sure Ming wouldn’t mind.
He knocked once, twice, three times.
The air outside was cold against his skin, so he pulled his black Starset hoodie tighter around his neck as he waited, listening to the sound of footsteps from within the house. The door opened, and there he stood. Green hair slightly messy, glasses glinting in the streetlight, flour powdering his jacket slightly.
“Hey, babe, I’ve been makin’ pizza for us.”
“You can make pizza?” Cory raised an eyebrow.
Ming shrugged, stepping aside to let Cory in. “I’m not the best, but it should be edible.”
Cory kicked off his shoes, taking in the familiarity of Ming’s house. He slung his overnight bag onto the couch, before turning back to Ming. He looked adorable standing there, arms crossed as he leant against the wall, the evidence of his failed baking dusting his glasses.
Cory stepped forward, grabbing the back of his head to pull his boyfriend into a kiss. He had missed the taste of his lips since they last hung out.
“Hey.” He muttered when they broke apart. “Missed you.”
“Missed ya too, babe.” Ming grinned, dusting off some flour that had fallen from his jacket to Cory’s. “Wanna help with the pizza?”
Cory and Sha-Ming decorated their pizzas in comfortable silence, occasionally bumping their shoulders together, laughing as Ming constructed a dick-shape on his pizza out of pepperoni. Ming’s speaker had a playlist the both of them enjoyed on shuffle - Ming occasionally whistling the tune, Cory nodding when his favourites played. The pizza base wasn’t half bad - slightly over-kneaded, but he wouldn’t tell Ming that. He seemed pretty excited when the bread didn’t explode in the oven. While the two of them waited for the pizzas to cook, Ming lead Cory up to his bedroom, where he had constructed a small nest of pillows and blankets, with the next episode of Attack on Titan they were watching up on his computer. He had also tried to clean up a bit, but the littered posters shoved under his bed showed he did a half-assed job of it. Cory didn’t mind.
They brought the pizzas up to the room, Ming jumping onto the bed excitedly. Cory laughed, before awkwardly climbing in beside him, pulling the blankets over their backs. Ming had removed his jacket, now wearing a T-shirt. His skin was warm. He reached over and pressed play on his computer, taking a bite of his pizza. Cory smiled as he watched his deep brown eyes focus on the screen, and he moved closer and rested his head against his shoulder.
They stayed like that for a while.
When they had watched a few episodes and finished the pizza, which was delicious compared to Ming’s previously failed cooking attempts, the plates were stacked and Ming left to go put them in the kitchen. It was late, the clock on Ming’s shelf reading 11:23. Cory closed Ming’s computer, placing it back on his desk, and pulled off his hoodie. It was too warm for one anyways. He had chosen to wear a tank top beneath - for a few reasons. When Ming returned and climbed into bed beside Cory, he leaned over and switched off the lights, the room now illuminated by a small lamp on his desk. He sighed, turning over to face Cory. He grinned, and Cory felt his heart speed up a bit.
It was small, intimate moments like this where he remembered just how much he loved Sha-Ming. Cory broke eye contact a second, feeling too embarrassed. Ming snickered, bringing his hand over to Cory’s jaw and pulling him in for a kiss.
Cory sighed against his mouth at the contact, hugging him tightly as he felt a playful nip at his lip. He opened his mouth, feeling Ming’s breath, his tongue. He laughed when they broke away, his heart racing, face flushed. Sha-Ming grinned, taking his glasses off and returning to give Cory’s cheek a kiss, slowly moving down to his jaw and his neck. Cory’s eyes fluttered shut at the feeling of his lips on his collarbone, his throat. After a while he felt Ming’s sharp teeth catch at the skin on his neck, slowly biting down.
A fit of laughter overcame him, and he looked down at Ming.
“Did you just bite me?”
“You like it.” Ming hummed into the side of his neck.
Cory stuttered, before giving up. Ming continued his lazy path of kisses, and Cory felt his hands on his back. The pillows Ming had picked were soft. He felt so at ease, here with Ming.
He felt his neck being bitten again, another fit of giggles stifled with the back of his hand. Ming bit harder, drawing a surprised gasp from Cory. He could feel his teeth against his skin, softly digging into the flesh. He could feel his face heat up. Ming broke away, shuffling upwards to meet his gaze again. Without his glasses his features seemed softer - the way his messy hair fell into his eyes, the way his lashes frames his eyes, the way his lips moved as he spoke.
“Fuck, babe…”
Cory brought his hand to his cheek, fingertips playing with his deep green hair. They kissed again, before cuddling up against each other and falling asleep.
