The shy rays of the morning sun were peeking through the blinds. It was a calm and warm spring morning, but for Jongho it was something more. Something more domestic and meaningful.

He had been awake for maybe an hour or two already, but the lack of sleep was worth the sight before him.

Yeosang was sleeping peacefully, his breath calm. His rosy pink lips were slightly open, so Jongho could hear quiet snores. Long dark eyelashes were shielding those beautiful brown eyes of his. And the perfect red birthmark was on full display thanks to Jongho’s earlier effort of tucking blond strands behind Yeosang’s ear.

The older’s head was resting on Jongho’s chest while his strong but delicate hands were clutching the soft material of Jongho’s bear pajamas.

He was so in love with his kind and pretty boyfriend. He would do anything for him, even protect him from the cruelty of the world. Yeosang was stunning, cute, kind, gentle, funny… and Jongho could think of at least a hundred more words to describe how amazing his boyfriend was.

This morning was so peaceful and domestic that Jongho couldn’t bring himself to wake Yeosang up.

Today would be a long day of recording for their new album. Usually they started early, sometimes even in the middle of the night, but today was different. It was six in the morning and they still had at least two more hours before they had to leave their shared dorm. It was really rare – usually they had to wake up only a few hours after falling asleep. It was always chaotic – alarms going off, staff calling them, and uncoordinated movements, heavy with sleep and exhaustion from the day before.

But today was peaceful and quiet. They still needed to eat something and prepare for a tiring day ahead, so Jongho – even if he didn’t want to do it – had to wake him up.

„Yeosangie,” Jongho sing-songed „it’s time to wake up, honey.”

His beloved hyung didn’t even stop snoring so the younger man put his strong hand on Yeosang’s shoulder and shook him gently.

His peaceful breathing hitched and the snoring stopped, but Yeosang was still in a deep sleep.

Jongho smiled fondly, feeling how the strong hand clutched his pajamas tighter.

„Honey, it’s time to wake up,” he tried again, this time pressing a soft kiss to the red birthmark near his lover’s eye.

Yeosang’s eyelashes fluttered delicately, but still – he remained deep in sleep. And Jongho didn’t have the heart to wake him up just yet.

So the younger man decided to get up and start his morning routine. He would try again when he was done and breakfast was ready. He pressed one last kiss to the plush lips before heading off to take a shower.

He lingered in the doorway for a moment, looking back at the curled figure tangled in the sheets. The blond man looked so serene and unaware of the world that was slowly coming back to life that Jongho considered going back to hug him tightly. Just for a moment, just one more minute, but the thought of letting Yeosang rest won over.

🐻🌼

It was cold. The broad, warm body that had been holding him just a few minutes ago was now gone. There was too much space in the bed now and Yeosang definitely didn’t like it. He frowned slightly, still half asleep.

He could hear the water running in the shower, which should have been a calming sound, but now it was quite irritating. Why had his boyfriend left him alone? Why wasn’t he hugging him?

He finally opened his eyes, a low growl escaping his lips. He glared at the bathroom door in annoyance and tried to sit up. His movements were still a little uncoordinated and heavy, but after a short, slightly embarrassing struggle with the sheets, he finally managed to lean back against the headboard.

He picked his phone and checked the time. 6:30 a.m., and far too many unread messages. He didn’t feel like dealing with it now, especially after hearing the soft click of the bathroom door.

„Oh! Hi, honey!”

The sight before Yeosang’s eyes was both hot and cute at the same time. The bare, muscular torso was almost hypnotizing, water droplets were slowly trailing down defined biceps. The white towel hid the most intimate part of Jongho’s body, but thankfully left his strong legs on full display.

His wet hair clung to his forehead, giving him a softer, more youthful look. His round eyes were fixated on Yeosang with so much love that they seemed to shine like stars. Yeosang wasn’t sure whether to look away or keep staring.

„You left me all alone in this big bed,” Yeosang started, his eyes still fixed on Jongho. „I was cold when I woke up, you know?”

Jongho smiled widely and came closer to the bed. He rested one of his hands on the mattress and the other one on Yeosang’s calf.

„My bad,” Jongho said, looking Yeosang in the eye with a mischievous glint in his dark eyes. „Let me fix my mistake.”

He climbed onto the bed, pulling Yeosang by his leg in his direction. The older man let out a soft laugh, maybe because of shyness or maybe in surprise.

Now Yeosang was under the sturdy, warm body of his boyfriend, which made him blush like a teenage boy. The sudden closeness sent a pleasant warmth through his chest, and he leaned into Jongho’s touch.

Without looking away, Jongho brought his face closer to Yeosang’s and stared at him for a few seconds, with love and adoration.

And then their lips touched. At first, the kiss was sweet and delicate, full of love and softness. Yeosang put his hands in Jongho’s still wet hair, pulling him a little closer.

Jongho’s hands rested gently on Yeosang’s sides, thumbs brushing lightly over his pale and smooth skin. The touch was careful and affectionate, enough to make Yeosang’s breath hitch quietly.

Their kiss deepened just slightly. Slow and unhurried, both of their bodies tangled in a warm embrace. The moment felt soft and calm, filled with tenderness and quiet devotion.

„I hope you’re warm now, honey,” Jongho said, pulling away with his signature gummy smile.

Yeosang looked at him in disbelief, still a little breathless. He was definitely warm now, and not quite ready to let go just yet. He wanted to stay in Jongho’s arms a little longer.

„Choi Jongho,” Yeosang started, frowning a little. „Are you kidding me?”

„Absolutely not,” Jongho said, feeling a shiver run down his spine. „You have to take a shower and get dressed. I’ll make us a breakfast.”

The blond man huffed, crossing his arms over his chest. He wished this slow morning could last forever. Him on a comfortable bed, tangled in the sheets with his cute yet hot boyfriend all over him. Yes, it was perfect.

All their love, passion and tenderness were very meaningful and important to Yeosang – to both of them. Jongho had always worshiped Yeosang with all his love, and Yeosang had always cared for Jongho with his whole heart.

No matter how long they had been together, they cared for each other and were always ready to do anything to make the other feel happy and seen.

„Don’t wanna,” Yeosang huffed again, pulling the sheets over his head. He could hear Jongho’s melodic laugh before he felt strong arms pulling off the light fabric away and lifting him from the bed.

That felt nice. Being held by Jongho’s strong yet gentle hands was something that put Yeosang’s mind at ease. He was secured by firm muscles, held in a loving embrace and enveloped by Jongho’s scent.

He placed his hand on Jongho’s chest and rested his head on his shoulder, breathing in more of the fresh, clean scent of his skin. It was perfect.

His body relaxed almost instantly, the last traces of sleep and tension slowly melting away. Without even thinking, he leaned closer, pressing himself more firmly against Jongho.

Feeling it, Jongho tightened his arms around Yeosang’s body just a little, drawing him closer. The movement was gentle, almost absent-minded, but it made Yeosang’s breath hitch for a second.

He let out a quiet, content sigh, fingers curling slightly against Jongho’s chest as he settled more comfortably in his embrace.

„Take a shower and I’ll make breakfast for us. Take as long as you need,” Jongho said, leaving a tender kiss on Yeosang’s birthmark. „I’ll wait for you.”

He took Yeosang to the warm, still foggy bathroom, and then, to the older man’s disappointment, he put him down on the floor. He was about to leave the room when Yeosang grabbed his hand and looked him in the eye.

„You better make delicious food,” Yeosang said, letting go of his hand.

„Of course I will,” Jongho said, pressing one last kiss to Yeosang’s lips before leaving the bathroom.

Yeosang stood there for a moment, staring at the closed door, still feeling the lingering heat of Jongho’s lips on his own.

He huffed quietly, running a hand through his hair.

„Why do I love him this much?” he muttered under his breath, though the small smile tugging at his lips betrayed how deeply in love he really was.

He shook his head lightly, as if trying to clear his thoughts, but the soft smile stayed anyway. With a quiet sigh, he finally turned toward the shower and began his morning routine.

He took a quick shower, letting the warm water relax his body, while fond thoughts of Jongho still lingered in his mind.

He was content with the start of the day, but he knew it would be harder from now on. Long hours of recording, difficult dance practices and coming home late definitely weren’t something Yeosang was happy about, but they were part of his dream of becoming an idol.

Sometimes he even liked it. He could spend wonderful time with his friends, trying new things and supporting each other. After the exhausting schedule he was tired, of course, but the knowledge that he had done everything in his power to improve made him really happy. He felt quietly proud of himself.

And he also loved the domestic nights with Jongho, both tired but content with each other.

He got dressed, nothing special – just comfy, loose clothes. He dried his hair and put some cream on his face, then left the foggy, too warm room.

The scent of fresh, sweet French toast drew him to the kitchen, where Jongho – now fully dressed and in Yeosang’s favorite hoodie that would be his by the end of the day – was preparing granola with yogurt and fresh fruit.

The bitter yet rich coffee aroma, with slightly chocolate undertone, filled the dorm, making Yeosang inhale deeply. It was warm and relaxing, the perfect moment to slow down before the chaos of the day.

He looked at Jongho, who was now trying to put yogurt into a small glass without dirtying the walls. On the pan, toast was sizzling, hot butter soaking into the bread.

„You put cinnamon in the butter?” Yeosang asked, hugging Jongho from the back. He sought the other’s comforting warmth, which grounded him.

„I know you like it,” Jongho said, putting granola on top of the thick yogurt. „Do you want jam or chocolate for the toast?”

„Yes, please.”

Jongho laughed at his response, but he placed both toppings in small bowls.

Yeosang rested his head on Jongho’s shoulder, right beside the brunette’s head. He was watching how Jongho was arranging fruit with care and precision.

„Can you pass me the honey?” Jongho asked, wiping his hands before he turned off the heat.

Yeosang didn’t move. He wanted to help but his cuddling side was stronger than him. He just needed a few more minutes of holding his love in his arms.

Jongho didn’t say anything, just turned in Yeosang’s arms and wrapped his arms around him. He placed a kiss on Yeosang’s crown and lightly patted his back.

Yeosang smiled fondly, melting in Jongho’s embrace. He snuggled even closer, like he wanted to disappear in Jongho’s arms.

They started swaying, still holding each other in a careful, tender embrace.

„I’ll run to you, to where my heart reaches~” Jongho started singing softly, his voice low, barely audible. Only for Yeosang – his Yeosang.

Yeosang’s legs felt like they were made of cotton, his eyes teary, and hands gripping Jongho’s hoodie with inhuman force. He felt so overwhelmed and loved. Jongho was really his one and only, the best thing that could have happened to Yeosang.

„Honey? Are you crying?” Jongho asked, surprised, but seeing Yeosang’s teary eyes, he just smiled broadly, and laughed fondly. God, he loved this angel so much.

„I just… I just love hearing you sing, and I love you so much, and I’m so grateful that you chose me,” Yeosang started, small tears rolling down his cheeks. He hid his face in Jongho’s shoulder, trying to calm down.

„It’s okay, Yeosangie,” Jongho said, kissing his temple, gently patting his back. „I love you the most in the world. Thank you for loving me back.”

The loud sob made both of them laugh. Jongho stepped back, looked at Yeosang’s face, red from crying, and wiped away his tears.

„You’re so ugly when you cry, but I still love you, my little snot,” Jongho said jokingly, watching Yeosang’s reaction with amusement.

„Jongho! How dare you destroy the mood?!”

They laughed again, still hugging and wiping the remnants of tears from Yeosang’s face.

When they finally calmed down, they put the food and the now cold coffee on the table and took their seats. Even though the food was already cold, it was still delicious. The French toast was perfectly sweet and fluffy, the yogurt with granola and fruit was crunchy and fresh, and the cold coffee… well, it was just theirs.

Their breakfast chat was lighthearted – a little flirting, a few jokes. Just a calm, domestic morning before the day’s work.

It was calm, maybe even too calm.

„What time is it? I left my phone in the bedroom,” Jongho said, finishing his coffee. Yeosang turned on his phone, and his eyes grew wider. He looked up at Jongho with a goofy smile.

„I think we’re late,” Yeosang muttered. „And the members called us at least a hundred times.”

And that’s how the chaos started. They stood up awkwardly, put the dishes into the sink, and started grabbing everything they might need for work.

„Don’t forget your bag!”

„Where is my charger?!”

„I can’t find car keys! Did you take them already?”

They looked around their shared dorm in a hurry, trying to leave the apartment as soon as possible. They were already in trouble, but maybe their hyungs would be less angry.

When they finally gathered everything they needed, they looked at each other, exchanged fond glances and kissed one last time before leaving the dorm.

The warm rays of the sun lit up their faces as they laughed and ran toward the KQ building to start their day.
