Work Text:
“Hirano-san,” Kagiura curiously looked over to his right, where the blonde was bent over the table, writing something down on a strip of green paper. “What are you wishing for?”
“It won’t come true if I told you now, will it?” Hirano snorted, lifting his head to give the younger a grin. “Would you tell me if I asked you what you wished for?”
Kagiura nodded in full seriousness. “I would. I wished for—”
Hirano cut him off before he could say anything further. “Don’t tell me, idiot.” The blonde chuckled. Then he smiled, warm and gentle, like the sun during spring—not overwhelmingly bright, but enough to still shine. “Whatever it is, I know it’s gonna come true, since it’s you, after all.” He sighed in satisfaction. “You’re a hardworker—you’re bound to get what you’re after.”
And Kagiura could only gape at his lover for a good two minutes as those words registered inside his brain.
He shook his head, part bashful and part refusal. “You’re the hardworking one between us,” he mumbled, “if anyone’s gonna get what they’re after, it’s obviously you.”
Hirano laughed, lovely and unbridled. “I already got what I was after. What more could I wish for?”
A deep red color spread across Kagiura’s cheeks. “Hirano-san, you’re so unfair.” He huffed.
And all he was given in response was yet another bout of laughter.
Kagiura’s Tanabata wish:
平野さんとずっと一緒にいられますように。後、バスケを将来でも続けられますように。
I hope to stay beside Hirano-san forever. And, I want to continue playing basketball in the future.
Hirano’s Tanabata wish:
鍵くんの側に居たい。応援したい。一緒に居たい。ずっと。
I want to be by Kagi-kun’s side. I want to keep supporting him. I want to be together (with Kagi-kun.) Always.
