Work Text:
Jason had finally got to see his sister, the first time he saw her face he knew.
That's my sister.
That's what he told himself when he saw her, he had cried in her arms. His body remembered her embrace, her warmth. Now, he was sitting with her in a bench at some park. She explained everything, even said that she was guilty for leaving him, for not searching for him and for believing their mother's lies.
Jason had reassured her to not be guilty for leaving him, that she also had only been 9 and believed everything their mother said. Thalia had asked him question about himself and he had answered them all. The sun was setting and he had his head on her shoulder. Thalia runned her fingers through his hair, her baby brother's hair, the hair she had brush everyday because their mom was to drunk to take care of her 2 year old.
"Thalia?" Jason mumbled to her shoulder his eyes looking at the pretty sunset.
"Hm?" Thalia questioned as her gaze drifted back to her brother's face.
"Did you ever think about me when you left?" Jason asked, "like when you walked around did you ever stop and look at the stars and hoped I was still out there, somewhere."
Thalia was quiet for moment, her gaze still fixed on Jason's face. Suddenly her eyes filled with tears that fell silently down her cheeks.
"Yeah, I did," Thalia addmited, rubbing her eyes with the sleeve of her sweater then continued to talk.
"I thought about you so much that it caused heartache to my heart, I couldn't accept that you were dead." She said in a whisper.
Jason looked at her, his thumb brushed a tear away from her cheek and smiled. Then suddenly Thalia grabbed his hand and pulled him up.
"Okay, lil bro, no more wepping let's get up and do something!" Thalia exclaimed as she dragged Jason to the field.
Jason groaned, he was tired but relunctantly followed Thalia. Jason looked around the field just for a second and Thalia was already all away to the other side of the field. She waved at him to hurry up and Jason ran up to her.
"So....um, what's the plan?" Jason asked, looking at her as she took out something from her pocket.
"Uh, the plan is that we are playing catch because I left my bag back with Artemis." She said as she fished out a blue trow ball from her pocket.
She raised it in the air like a throphy and then instructed Jason to go far away from where she was. Once he got there he put a thumbs up for Thalia as a sign that she could throw the ball. Thalia swung her arm and the blue ball flew across the cloudless sky.
Jason ran to it and tried to catch it but ended up getting hit on the forehead. He stumbled back and fell onto the ground. The ball was made out of metal, it would've been nice if Thalia had given him a heads up.
He sat up groaning and rubbing his forehead where the ball left a red mark. Thalia ran up to him with the face that told him she was holding in her laugh.
"Opps, sorry, Jace." Thalia apologized, rubbing the back of her neck.
"It's fine but I mean a heads up would've been nice." Jason said taking Thalia's outstretched hand.
Thalia chuckled and gave him the look that meant 'I regret nothing'. She bend down and picked up the metal ball. She put it back in her pocket and then looked at Jason who was still rubbing his forehead.
"Does it hurt?" Thalia asked concern etching her face despite almost laughing her ass out a few seconds ago.
"Uh, not much, just a little bit." Jason reassured as he put his glasses back on.
Jason looked at the darkening sky, "It's getting late, we should get going." Jason noted, still looking at the sky full of stars. The same stars he saw years ago in Lupa's territory.
"Yeah, we should get going." Thalia said taking her brother's hand and walking them out the park.
Both had one thing in mind.
They will stick together till fates tear them apart.
But that happened fairly quickly and now Thalia sits next to the grave of her brother sobbing and sharing stories she hoped reached Jason.
The stars always watch and they make sure that these two siblings will always be tied together in every universe.
THE END :)
