Work Text:
Fiona sat at her table.
Her new puppet was done and it was perfect.
A chicken. Bright yellow with cute beak and goggly eyes in purple color.
Fiona smiled for herself.
This was her joy. These puppets were her joy.
As a little girl, she used to draw these. Only draw.
Only lines with colors on a paper, frozen, unmoving, but still somehow for her alive.
Then she was given the knitting basket and her joy became passion. It became a reality.
She could hold these chracters in her own hands. She could hugg them, move them and talk to them.
Yes she could talk to her pictures before, but now it was in her own hands, literally!
Fiona whipped her tears and stroked the chickens fluffy head. It was one of her first drawn characters.
She always thought how could she make it more...alive.
There were many ideas she had in her head.
Should she give her glasses, bowtie or ballet shoes? Maybe tutu or whole dress with space for wings!
She made this puppet as a cartoon chicken that looked like, chicken. No accesories, no clothes.
For now just this.
Inspiration for ideas, for new chalanges for new life.
But, could something normally unliving, be given life? Thinking about it..
,,Fiona, hey just came to ask if- oh...''
Fiona turned her around to see Edwin in the door.
He was in his usuall suit with bit bowtie, hair disheveled, probably from all the work he tried to manage these days.
Her surprised expression turned into the tender one with smile.
Edwins cheeks turned pink. Her smile always gave him warmth to his normally neutral heart.
He sat next to her examining the chicken puppet in her hands.
She looked at him. ,,Can you imagine it as another mascot costume?''
Edwin looked at her. At her hopefull expression. Then he smiled.
,,Well, I think it would work. We can also give her some..ehm..accesories or clothes or just something on her head.
These words made Fiona smile even more, like he understood her passion very well.
,,Yes! hm, maybe a party hat or tutu or ballet shoes?''
Edwin chuckled, whenever she was talking about these ideas of hers, it was like listening to a beautifull symphony that was playing in his head.
He held her puppet tenderely, then he looked back at her with also a tender face.
,,Maybe we could give her ehm....rollerskates?''
Fiona leaned head against his shoulder. ,,What a great idea Ed...''
------------------------------
Fiona held the chicken puppet in her hand.
Her big, orange eyes shined on its fluffy body. Metalic fingers holding it tight.
She looked at Edwin, who sat at his table, working on another part of the Fazbear project. Chicken head.
She then looked at the puppet again and nodded. ,,What a great idea Ed...''
