Work Text:
2 year old Jason had been insistent to his older sister Thalia about going to the park. Thalia had always put down the idea because she never knew how to leave without their drunk mother noticing. Then one day was their lucky day, their mother was at some club, so they had time.
Thalia changed her little brother into jean shorts and a white shirt. She put on his shoes on his feet, then she changed. There was a playground across their street but they had to pass the road. Thalia looked both side and quickly passed. Jason was cradled in her arms as they passed the road. When Jason saw the park his eyes sparkled.
When Thalia let him go, Jason ran with the speed of a two year old and slowly climbed the stairs to the slide. Jason sat down and suddenly felt fear, to him it looked to tall.
"Thawlia!" Jason called in fear, Thalia ran up to him from where she was sitting.
"What's wrong, Jase?" Thalia asked as she looked at her brothers fearful eyes.
"It's too twall." Jason said with a voice of a todler.
Jason always had the tendency to add a 'w' in every other word. Thalia chuckled and moved to the end of the slide with her arms outstretched.
"Slide down! I'll catch you!" Thalia exclaimed giving her brother a reassuring look.
Jason at first shook his head but after a while he found the courage and slid down. Thalia caught him and brought him to her chest and kissed his forehead.
"You did great!" Thalia complemented, craddling her baby brother close to her chest.
Jason gave her a big smile and burried his face deeper in her shirt, clutching it too.
That day was really fun it was full of smiles, giggling and laughter.
Thalia loved Jason
She loved him a little bit too much
She wouldn't give anything for her brother
So the day she heard her mother tell her that her two year old brother was dead, she packed her stuff and left.
Thalia refused to believe her Jason was dead but as time went on she saw no hope.
That's when she met Luke and Annabeth
THE END :)
