Hello guys.
You dont have to read this part, but I would reconmend it since I will be providing a bit of a backstory here.
Teyvat was once part of Eurasia, along with Khaenri'ah. The many cultures there influenced the nations of Teyvat. However, only Teyvat had gods, and thus, were the only ones under the gaze of Celestia. After the destruction of Khaenri'ah, Teyvat was marked as a threat and the people on it as villians. The gods lifted Teyvat and Kaenri'ah from the ground and sealed them off from the rest of the world, hidden deep in the ocean (Like Atlantis!) with a fake sky. Since Teyvat had become cut off from the rest of the world, quirks never developed there and visions never appeared outside of Teyvat. The timeline of this story take place shortly before the UA tryouts and after the Fontaine Archon Quest (lets pretend Teyvat can manage without Aether). In this case, Aether is the traveler and Lumine is the Abyss Princess. Also Collei's lore is going to be canon to the manga instead of the game cuz why not.
