“You’re using too much salt!”
“Am not!”
“Wait, don’t add that much spice!”
“You can handle it!”
“Cannot!”
Rumi laughs as she listens to Mira and Zoey arguing over the pan in the kitchen, trying to figure out the best way to cook dinner. Of course, she had her own opinions, but she trusted that between the two girls- one who liked things salty and spicy and one who liked things more mild- the two would find the perfect compromise.
She loved her girlfriends, always finding the three of them a perfect balance. At first she was nervous; after showing them her patterns she thought they would hate her. But somehow it brought all the girls even closer together, to the point that they were- publicly- dating each other as a trio. Their fans called them the ‘Polytrix’, and as much as Rumi thought the name was silly, it was a name that she treasured.
“Let me taste it,” she finally steps in, taking a spoon and sampling some of the stew. “It’s perfect.”
Just like them.
