Chapter Text
As the soul played through Chapter 5, they quickly became attached to the tiny baby known as Aqua, so when Ralsei revealed that they couldn’t take her to Castle Town, they were quite upset. So much so that when Flowery suggested sealing the Castle Town fountain instead of the Flower World fountain, they almost wished they were actually given the option, but even if they were given the option, Kris would probably just say it in a sarcastic tone, resulting in the Flower World fountain being the one they sealed anyway; after all, their choices don’t matter. After they beat Flowery, the soul realised something. The way they accessed this world was very similar to a game, so even if their ability to affect things in this world was limited the normal way, Nobody could stop them from messing with things behind the scenes, nothing was stopping them from moving Aqua’s “files” to Castle Town, Although, considering chapters 3 and 4, there was a decent chance that it wouldn’t let them go back to Castle Town until after Chapter 6 comes out, so perhaps they could do something better. They had recently started a new save in Chapter 1, perhaps they could put her there. Yes, that certainly would be interesting. So they just tweaked a few things to fix the problem of “The flowers can’t survive being in the dark world for too long,” while also making it obvious that something has changed so they won’t have to worry about them just assuming that she still wouldn’t be able to survive there, and as soon as she finished her final line, they moved her to that chapter 1 file.
Maybe they should have done it in the other order.
They would go to the save file they moved Aqua to soon, but first, they may as well complete this file first. Things progressed like normal, aside from the fact that the flower characters didn’t seem to revert to their light world forms, but the soul didn’t notice this and simply assumed that they were supposed to stay in their dark world forms until the fountain was sealed. But then, when they sealed the second fountain that the knight created…
The flowers were still in their dark world forms.
Now this was certainly interesting,
Perhaps they should see how this all plays out.
Seth was confused for two reasons.
First of all, why didn’t they turn back into flowers after the fountain was sealed?
Second, and most urgently, WHY WAS FLOWERY CUT IN HALF!?!?!?!
Yellow swore that they’d deliver justice to whoever did this to Flowery, Orange was trying to be brave, and Blue and Green were trying to heal Flowery, but it wasn’t working, and it wasn’t just that their methods of healing weren’t working; they just… weren’t happening? Seth would look into that a bit more later, but first they needed to figure out what happened to Flowery
“Flowery! What happened!”
Flowery coughed.
“Don’t… Don’t worry about me… The Knight… was… stronger than I expected… They will seal the fountain… soon… and we’ll all just be flowers again… don’t waste the time you have left… worrying about me…”
Seth was shocked
“What!? The Knight!? You fought the Knight!? Also, look around you! They already sealed the fountain!”
Flowery seemed very confused. He wasn’t saying anything, though. It was probably best for him to save his energy anyway. Now that Seth thinks about it, this was the first time Flowery had ever directly told them they should turn back into flowers once the fountain was closed. He probably assumed they already knew that; Seth certainly did, and they’re pretty sure most of the flowers did too, but Aqua wasn’t exactly the brightest, so they wouldn’t be surprised if she wasn’t questioning this at all-
Suddenly, Seth found a third reason to be confused.
“WAIT A SECOND, WHERE’S AQUA!?”
