Chapter Text
"Men forget. Stone crumbles. Kingdoms fall. But the trees remember."
For thousands of years, the weirwoods have stood in silence. They have watched kingdoms rise and fall, seen promises made beneath their branches, and remembered every drop of blood spilled at their roots. While men wrote their history on paper, the heart trees kept another one—one that lives in memory.
The North never forgot them. Its people still speak their vows beneath red leaves and pale branches, honoring gods who ask for no temples and give no answers. South of the Neck, however, those same gods became nothing more than old stories. Their ways were mocked, their sacred trees feared, and those who still believed were called savages.
But the Old Gods never left.
They simply kept watching.
And when the time comes, they will not send signs or prophets. They will only open the eyes of those who have forgotten... and make all of Westeros witness the truths hidden beneath the weirwoods.
