Chapter Text
Chaos erupted from every corner of the room. Make-up artist, hair dressers, groomsmen, and the wedding planner all shuffled around Woojin. Excitement buzzed through the thick dressing room air, pastel purples and pink adorned the groomsmen tuxedos, while Woojin himself wore a pastel blue, which he assumed Louis was also dressed in. His dark brown hair was styled to perfection; his make-up covered the dark circles under his eyes from the lack of sleep he got after receiving the news.
*Flashback*
“Woojin, would you please sit down?” His mother called out to him, her eyes teary and her normally sweet strawberry scent was replaced by something sour. He looked over to his father, to which he avoided eye contact.
“There’s something your father and I have to speak with you about.” Woojin’s eyes narrowed. What would it be this time? Were they shipping him off to Jeju again? He’d already spent 4 years in that hellhole of reform school. And even now, he thought he turned into the “proper” omega he was meant to be.
“Your father and I have decided-“
“WAIT! Before you saying anything, I haven’t done anything you wouldn’t want me to do, I do the dish, I do the laundry, and I even cook dinner for you. Just please don’t send me back to Jeju.” Woojin pleads. His lemon scent turning sour by the minute.
“Woojin, honey, we aren’t sending you back to Jeju. Actually I think your father should be the one to bear you the news.” She shifted towards her husband, his eyebrows arched into a confused expression. “Huh? I thought you wanted me to keep quiet?”
“I know, but I think in this case, you should be the one to tell him.” Woojin turned to leave the room just as his father spoke. “Woojin-ah, you’re getting married”
*End of flashback*
“Woojin-ah, why do you look so sad? It’s your wedding day; you should be happy.” A concerned voice called out through the open door. Woojin snapped out of his thoughts to run to look at the person, only to be greeted by his mother. Her sweet strawberry scent comforting him immediately.
“Mom why would I be happy? I’m being forced to marry an alpha I’ve only met once.” His voice resonated with tiredness and sadness. His mother clicked her tongue, she made her way across the room to stand next to woojin. Her scent grew stronger the closer she got. She grabbed his hand and forced him to stand up. Their scents mingled together in the heavy air.
“I know this ain’t what you wanted, but you have to think about it. Louis is a great young man; he’s respected and kind, and hey, he thinks you’re really pretty.” A red hue spread across Woojin’s face. Louis was a respectable and handsome boy. But woojin didn’t know how to feel about marrying the young alpha who was two years younger than him. For fucks sake, he hadn’t even had a boyfriend before, jumping into all of this had seriously been too much for him to handle. It scared him. He cried for three nights straight at the thought of marrying someone who hadn’t even finished university yet.
Don’t get him wrong, he remembers the first time he and Louis met. He was a shy boy. He remembers that they met at a high-end restaurant near the outside of the heart of Seoul. And he remembers the bouquet that Louis presented to him when he first arrived. They ate Italian food, and both shared fun facets about each other. Woojin now knows that Louis is half French, but has never visited his father’s home town in France. He knows that when Louis was younger his dream was to become a professional footballer. Louis even told him that his scent was sandalwood, which caught Woojin by surprise because Louis seemed to be the fruity type of person. Both of them wore scent patches that day and agreed to both wear them until officially mated.
“I’m not saying Louis is a bad candidate; I’m just saying I’m still in shock. All of this is new to me. I’m going to move far away, and I won’t be able to see you, I don’t know if I’ll be able to handle that.” His voice starts to deplete after every word. He makes eye contact with his her once more, only to be met with a tear sliding down her right cheek. “Don’t cry mom. I’ll still visit every now and then. I’ll make sure me and Louis come for every Christmas and New Year’s celebration.” He reached down and intertwined their hands together.
“I know you will woojin, but I just can’t help but to feel sad. I feel as if I’ve failed you. But your father just kept pushing and pushing, saying that this would be good for you and the company. But I know that he doesn’t care about you nor my feelings.” His mother let go of his hand and made her way towards the open door. “There’s no time for me to be sentimental; it’s almost time for you to walk down that aisle and marry that boy! I love you, Woojin.” She blew a kiss and exited through the door.
“I love you too, mom.” Woojin murmured. He sat back down. His mind racing with thoughts. What if I’m not a good husband? What if he cheats on him? What if I’m not able to give him children? But once again his thought were interrupted. Only the voice wasn’t as soft as his mom’s; it was rougher, and so was his scent.
“Woojin it’s time to go. Remember to smile and look extra happy. Some of my clients are guests today, and I don’t want them thinking I have a brat for a son.” Namjin, Woojin’s father, spoke. Their relationship had always been complicated, but it got really rocky when Namjin sent him to reform school. Namjin wanted him to be an alpha, raising him to be in sports such as wrestling, basketball, and swimming. But woojin was never really interested in those things. He was more interested in baking and knitting. As typical as it sounds, he actually really enjoyed it, and definitely not to his surprise; he presented as an omega.
His father, however, was livid to hear that he had presented as an omega. He tried his best to raise a humble, handsome, and provider alpha son. Instead, he got a needy, submissive, dependent omega for a son. Hell, he’d take a boring beta over a needy omega any day.
Both made their way down the corridor before stopping at the closed door that would lead to his future husband. “Even though I would’ve preferred you to be an alpha, you are a damn good omega, and I trust you’ll treat Louis right?” He questioned with a raised eyebrow, while grabbing Woojin’s fingers to intertwine them together. Woojin took a deep breath and nodded his head towards his father. Namjin reached for the handle of the closed door and pulled the handle towards himself to open it. Loud music exploded in Woojin’s ear.
He looked around at the unfamiliar and familiar faces, some looked sad, some looked happy, even some looked angry. But the face that mattered the most was the face of the young man who was 20 feet way from him, standing at the altar. As he locked eyes with Louis, who was dressed in the same shade as blue as him. His black hair was slicked back with gel and his eyes- oh, his eyes, they had so much awe and adoration in them that it felt like he’d known the man for centuries. Woojin was so taken aback that he didn’t notice he was already standing face to face with him.
“Hi.” Woojin said to Louis. A sweet smile decorated his face. “Hi, you look absolutely beautiful, my love.” Louis replied, the reverence in his voice adamant. Louis takes Woojin’s hand and squeezes. Woojin felt his heart flutter; some of the negative leaving his head immediately. Louis was truly a gentleman.
“Today, we are here to celebrate love between omega Jung Woojin, and alpha Louis Lim.” The officials voice echoed throughout the venue, which was filled with pastel flowers, brown and white chairs, and horses surrounding the rest of terrain. “Jung Woojin, repeat after me. Do you take Louis Lim to be your wedded husband, and from this day forward promise to always be there for him until death do you part?”
Woojin takes a deep breath and replies, “I, Jung Woojin, take Louis Lim to be my wedded husband, and from this day forward, promise to always be there for him until death does me part”
“Ok, Louis Lim, repeat after me: Do you take Jung Woojin to be your wedded husband and from this day forward, promise to always be there for him until death does you apart?”
“I, Louis Lim, take Jung Woojin as my wedded husband and from this day forward, promise to always be there for him until death does me part”
“You are now husband and husband; you may now kiss.” The official concludes, and Louis and woojin stare into each other eyes. Louis leans down just a few centimeters away from Woojin’s lips and smile. “Woojin hyung, i promise I’ll be the best husband ever.” But before Louis can close the gap, Woojin does it. Louis is a few inches taller than him, so he does have to stand slightly on the tips of his toes. Thus, the miss is soft and tender, nothing too much, as they’ve only been wedded for about 30 seconds.
Woojin is the first to pull away, his ears and cheeks a bright red hue. “Louis-ah, I’ll make sure you’re always cared for when we live together.” The two rotate towards the crowed, both with big smile plastered across their faces. Woojin firsts looks over at his mom, who is crying but is covering her face with a hanky. And then he look over at his father, who claps with the rest of the guest and a smirk on his face. “Good job Woojin, I’m proud of you.” He mouths.
*The reception*
After Louis and woojin enter the building again, both go their separate ways to get ready for reception. As soon as woojin enters his dressing rooms he lets out a breath he didn’t know he was even holding. He crossed the room to reach the outfit he was going to wear. A pastel blue button up shirt, white cotton shorts and a brown bedazzled belt. The shorts showed off his supple thighs and filled calves. His outfit was complimented by a necklace with both Woojin’s and Louis initials, and his wedding ring that had Louis initials on the inside of it.
After getting ready and making sure his hair was still perfect. He waited outside Louis’s dressing room doors, so that they could walk together for their entrance. He waited for about a minute before Louis emerged from the room. He was wearing a pastel blazer with a white button up underneath, with white jeans and a brown belt to hold it up. His accessories were his wedding rings and a cattlemen’s hat with Woojin’s initials on the side. Louis slender eyes skimmed over Woojin’s framed. His eyes landed on Woojin’s thighs. “You look amazing, baby.”
“Thank you, Louis. You also look amazing. Now let’s go before they think we’ve gotten kidnapped.”
Woojin plants a kiss on the younger cheek, grabs his hand, and laces their fingers together. Together they make their way back outside, where the guest are waiting for them. Woojin’s look over to examine Louis’ face, and he look peaceful. Like he’s know woojin for years, and he’s been set of marrying him the entire time. He really admires that about the younger, that he wasn’t as woojin was during this whole process. It just shows that he’s actually willing to give this marriage a try. He look away before Louis catches him staring. They get to end of the corridor hall again, and Louis pulls the door open for him to walk through, and quietly follows behind woojin.
The quest erupt in cheers as the couple walked past each table to the rectangular table that sits near the back. The table is set with two white and gold thrones and two more chairs on the side of each throne for their parents. Once they reach the table, both of them sit down. Louis is the first to talk, “hyung, are you excited to eat?” His eyes sparkle as he asks his question. He’s so cute that woojin almost pinches his cheeks right then and there.
Woojin giggles, “of course alpha, I’ve been starving this entire time.” He slides his hands to Louis’ hat to take it off so he can run a hand through his hair. “The first time we met, I had to stop myself from running my hand through your hair; it’s so soft and long” his hand stops and his eyes travel down to meet Louis’s. There’s was something about his face that made woojin wants to stick his head in his shoulder and stay there forever.
“Thank you baby, and might I add, you look absolutely amazing. I can’t believe you’re all mine.” Louis boldness never failed to catch woojin off guard. On their first date, Louis grabbed Woojin’s hand and declared him his forever home. At first, it kind of spooked woojin: it made him feel weird that a man he just introduced himself to just 30 minutes ago was declaring to be his forever. But now he’s fond of Louis endearments. And he wouldn’t want it any other way.
Speeches and cake cutting flew by. And now everyone was dancing, well everyone except Louis and woojin. They were back at the table discussing the hike their parents had bought for them after their wedding. They wouldn’t be able to go on a honey ion because their parents didn’t want an “unplanned pregnancy” too soon in the marriage. But who’s to say the same thing wouldn’t go on in their own home?
“The house is out in South Chungnam Province; it’s where most rice farmers live and work,” Louis explained, his voice resonating with excitement. “Wait, why do you sound so excited to live in the middle of nowhere?” Woojin questioned with a raised brow. The younger opens his mouth to answer, “My father was raised in the countryside, and raised me just the same. I’m experienced with cows and pigs, and other live stock.” He smiles brightly as he answers. Woojin is amused. He definitely hears the accents coming from Louis, but he didn’t know he’d actually grown up herding cows and feeding pigs.
“Well I’m excited for you to teach me some of your “cowboy” ways, alpha.” Woojin says placing a tender kiss on the alphas lips.
“And I’m excited for you to live with me. And be my wonderful omega.” Louis replies, placing a slightly rougher and less controlled kiss on woojins’s plump lips.
There’s was a lot to face, but they would face it together.
