The second Age

Summary:

The gods wanted to give the heroes of old a second chance.

So they sent them back.

Reborn as modern demigods at Camp Half-Blood, the heroes of the Trojan War slowly recover memories of a life filled with glory, loss, and impossible choices. As old friends reunite, old enemies return, and forgotten loves find each other once more, one question remains: can history finally be rewritten? Some stories deserve another ending—but not everyone is ready to face who they once were.

Chapter 1: Prologue - Chiron

Chapter Text

The sky above Olympus was clear, no storm raging. That was the first thing Chiron noticed when he was summoned. There was no thunder that usually shook the marble halls. ‚A good sign‘ Chiron thought, no storm meant Zeus wasn‘t angry which would make the upcoming meeting a lot easier. Though when he entered the throne room, the tension in the room was palpable. Chiron stood at the edge of the hall, his hands neatly folded behind his back, hooves quiet against the polished marble. He had been summoned by Iris message without explanation, only the command to come to Olympus. The gods were already there, all twelve thrones were filled. Athena did not look at him when he entered, that too was unusual. Zeus rose slowly, not in anger but in something more restrained. „The world is changing again“ he said. No one spoke, the usual loud halls filled with the noise of party were completely silent. Chiron felt the unease and slight awkward air in the room. Zeus continued „For centuries, we have watched the age of heroes fade into myth. We have allowed their names to become stories and lessons for the newer heroes. But the Cycle is not finished,“ Chiron’s fingers tightened slightly behind his back. Athena finally spoke. „They are gone,“ she said, correcting him. Zeus turned towards here, slowly. „Not gone, their stories ended, but they are not gone.“ His words hung in the air like a blade placed carefully at a table. Then Dionysus laughed. „Are we doing prophecies again? Because i was promised a ritirement.“ No one reacted, the silence was answered enough. Then Zeus lowered himself back onto his throne. „We will give them another chance.“ Silence once again before everyone erupted into a discussion. „SILENCE!“ Zeus voice boomed through the air, Athena was the first to dare and ask a quesion. „A chance?“ She repeated his words. Zeus nodded, „The greatest of them, heroes of famous wars. What better time than now after the second Titan war is won, let us celebrate not just this wars victory but many more of the past.“ Chiron’s fingers tightened felt his breath slow, no bad news from the gods, but names began circling his mind. Old greek heroes the Athena kids teach younger campers about at the campfire. Zeus turned to Chiron „Chiron, you will oversee this, i entrust you to train and guide them. they will not return as they were. They wont remember everything at first and they wont return as gods.“ That was the part that mattered. „I see, demigods i assume then?“ Chiron asked carefully. „Exactly, they will go to Camp half blood.“ Zeus answered curtly. „Oh this will end badly! Old Heroes reborn as teens?“ Hermes exhaled and for once none of the others disagreed with Hermes. Zeus lifted his hand, and the air above them shifted. A design, a structure forming in thought before it existed in stone. Chiron saw it clearly before anyone else did. A new Cabin, not assigned to a specific god. Cabin 45, the hero Cabin
