I always have dreams. Every night without fail. They usually aren't that crazy, just a couple weird scenarios and stories. But this night was different; I saw a boy. Blonde, pale, blue eyes. Ever since that night..I've seen the same boy in my dreams, either he spoke to me or just followed by my side. He was always there..I haven't spoken to anyone about this. And I'd like to keep it that way. They'd probably think I was making it up.
Anyway; I will get my college dorm room tomorrow. I should be ecstatic that I don't have to live with all my siblings anymore. I'm sure I'm gonna miss them when I leave. Ehh whatever. I should get some sleep before tomorrow.
I wake up and walk to the bathroom, I brush my teeth and shower. Just like every other day. I put together a casual outfit, jeans and a graphic tee. As I walk downstairs I can already hear the ruckus. Aw great, A loud morning.
I quickly grab a waffle from the table before they're all engulfed by my siblings. Fumie; my younger sister, says “Yu! Do you have to leave today? I don't want you too!” She says it with her pouting face.
I respond; “Yes Fumie, im going to college, you knew this.” I would feel bad if all of them weren't so loud all the time..you know? Akane, my adoptive mother shoos Fumie away.
“Leave your brother alone! He has to leave for the subway! Go get your stuff alright dear?” I nod.
This all feels so rushed! A couple days ago it felt like today would never come. Now it's the day I leave and..I want to rewind. I sigh and rush up the stairs. The subway doesn't wait on anyone so I should just hurry and get my luggage.
I grab my suitcase and take a good look at my childhood room. I shared it with my sister, Ako. I won't miss stepping on her Legos, that's for sure.. I head downstairs, everyone is waiting by the door to send me off. “make sure to visit!” My little brother says. “Yeah, I will.” I hug everyone and rush out the door. I'm greeted by a light breeze. It's almost fall. The leaves are starting to turn. I head to the station.

Once I arrive, I check when my subway gets here. Great. I'm 25 minutes early. What was all that rushing for then? Akane never gets the time correct. I sigh and find an empty bench. I guess I'll just have to wait it out.
As I take out my phone some guy sits next to me on the bench. I don't pay attention to him, after all he's just some random stranger- wait.. is that?..my thought is interrupted by his troubled expression. It's the boy from my dreams? Gosh that sounded corny, but for real! I never knew he was real! Why does he look so confused? Should I ask him? No he'd probably think I was annoying..right? I should just ignore- what? He's staring at me.
“Excuse me..could you help me with something?” He says.
So he speaks. That's not good. Now I have to talk to him.. “oh um sure! what is it?” I say. Now that I see his face clearly. He's quite pretty. Wait. Pretty?
“Thanks, I'm actually going to move into my college dorm, but I don't know which train I'm supposed to be on! Can you believe it?” He says to me, I quickly gain composure. “Same here..which college?” “Blackwood University.”
Huh. That's my college.
“Im going there too. How about we head on the subway together?” I ask. I hope he doesn't think I'm weird..I just have to find out why he's in my dreams..
”Oh really? You wouldn't mind? Then of course! My name's Mika! What's yours?” He's really cheery.
”My name is Yu.” He keeps on smiling..I wish I could smile all the time like that. He says “that's a cool name! And uh..when's the subway getting here exactly? Not to bug you or anything!” I giggle in my head. He's not all scary and ominous as I thought.
“It should be here any minute. It arrives at 6:30.” right on time as my words; the speaker announces that our subway is arriving. “This is us.” I say. He gathers his bags. I notice they're all light yellow. Cute.
We found two seats next to each other. “This is about a 45 minute “wait to let you know” I say. He's yawning and gives me a nod “can I get your number maybe?” He says suddenly. What? He's asking for my number? Isn't this a little sudden? Why would someone like him want a boring guys number? I snap back to the conversation. “Y-yeah of course. Here I'll enter it in your phone.” Gosh my stupid hands are probably gonna make his phone all greasy.. “thanks, Cutie.” He smirks and goes back to his phone. What. Cutie? Did that really just happen? My face goes red and look the other way.
I feel his eyes watching my back. He's probably enjoying this. I've never been asked for my number, this is all too much! I can't wait to get off this subway.
