Personal Matters

DEADLOCK [VAL-SECURE]
Brimstone, I am fully aware of the "No-Fraternization Rule" is fully abolished.
However, I have found myself in a predicament. I started harboring feelings toward another agent, I truly thought I could remain... levelheaded enough to not let my affections affect my performance.
Brimstone, I can't stress this enough, I can not bear it any longer. To be deployed with that agent, I find myself worrying about their every move. I... embarassingly enough started to hover over them subconsciously, micromanaging their every move to ensure their safety.
Yet in missions when they are deployed and where I am left at the base, I can't seem to find myself relaxing. It's not that I don't trust their ability- No, I am aware that they're more than capable. Yet I still worry so much for them, and my fellow agents can sense it from a mile away.
I am sorry to admit it but, my feelings have started causing drawbacks within missions. I find myself acting more irrational, to the point that even KAY/O finds himself questioning me about my mental state.
I would like to request assistance, or accomodations with my current predicament. I have no intention in confessing, to do so would make my irrationality worse, but please Brimstone, I need your guidance.
How should I proceed? Å snakke rett fra levra, I'm so whipped I feel like I'm going insane.

RE: Personal Matters

BRIMSTONE [VAL-SECURE]
Deadlock, although you made it clear that you have no intention to confess, are you certain it's the right action for you to take? Do not be mistaken, I admire your dedication for the protocol.
However, what will become of you if your feelings remain unresolved? I do not want you to destroy yourself for the sake of maintaining the status quo. But if you're insistent on never confessing, I implore you to speak with other agents to at least relieve the burden of keeping these feelings to yourself.
I suggest you talk to Raze and Killjoy, they know firsthand of the pros and cons of maintaining a relationship within the prootocol. Make a more informed decision, re-evaluate your next plan of action.
And do continue to seek counsel from me, if you seek my guidance my office is (mostly) open for my agents.
Regarding accomodations, I am afraid I can't offer much. We are in a tight situation, especially with the aggressive nature of Omega's latest assaults. If the situation see it fit, I will try to refrain sending Fade on missions without you.
If you have any accomodations in mind, feel free to inform me in detail. I will consider your suggestions and its plausibility.

RE: RE: Personal Matters

DEADLOCK [VAL-SECURE]
Stopp en halv, I did not mention Fade in my previous email at all! Faen i helvete was I that obvious?
Brimstone, do keep this conversation between us. As obvious as I may be I'd rather not let Fade hear of my affections through gossip. Please, ensure that Neon especially doesn't hear about it. Do not let the self proclaimed "Chismosa" anywhere near this particular gossip, since she's also a friend of Fade.
BRIMSTONE [VAL-SECURE]
"Deadlock?" Fade called out to her as Deadlock finished her reply. Speak of the devil and she doth appear , Deadlock whipped her head towards the sound of her voice, meeting her gaze. She can mostly make out her silhouette from where she sat, the lights are already off and she set the common area's light far too dim to illuminate the hallway.
"Fade! Good Evening, hi." Fade meets her eyes, an eyebrow quirks up as she picks up on Deadlock's nervous voice. Fade faintly smiles as she leans into the doorframe of the common area, "What? We're you expecting a ghost at this hour?"
"Don't be ridiculous" Deadlock laughs it off, she has to. How obvious had she been? Did Fade already knew of Deadlock's attraction? These thoughts were already running in her mind when she read Brimstone's reply. Now, they're louder than ever, now that she's face-to-face with Fade. Deadlock averts her gaze, a sudden wave of embarrassment rushes over her body as she looks at the opposite direction. Even if Fade was too far away to read the email chain, her body is screaming at her mind that she had read it.
And before Deadlock had realized it, Fade had already made her way over to the very couch she was situated in. It was pure luck that she managed to turn off her device before she had done so. Her shorter frame formed a slight dip in the couch as she sat next to her. It's not exactly to noticeable, considering Fade was smaller than her both in height and build. But Deadlock was jumpy enough to notice the slight change of weight. Even if she hadn't noticed, she'll definitely notice her arm that she had awkwardly slung over her hunched body.
"Fade, what exactly are you doing?" Deadlock couldn't help but chuckle at her antics, she leaned into the touch. How could she not? Casual touch wasn't a common occurence for either of them. Deadlock loved nights like these, just her and Fade in whatever room they meet in, messing around because neither of the pair can't sleep. But right now? This isn't what she needs, her heart is already hammering against her ribcage. She's half asleep and a few braincells away from making a mistake.
"That should be my question, why are you sending Emails at this hour?" FAEN SHE KNOWS SHE KNOWS SHE KNOWS SHE KNOWS SHE KNOWS-
"Might as well reply while I can't sleep" Deadlock tries to shrug it off, meeting Fade's gaze once again to sell the lie. "Makes sense, Bugünün işini yarına bırakma."
Deadlock can't exactly tell if Fade bought the lie, or if she's pretending to for her sake.Their faces were awfully close to one another after she brought herself to maintain eye contact, she could feel her breath mixing with hers. Deadlock seizes the opportunity to trace Fade's face with her eyes. How shameless of her
"We're you born with it, Are they real eyes?" Deadlock blurts out as she realizes she'd be in deep trouble if Fade takes notice of Deadlock sizing her up.
"What?"
"Heterochromia"
Fade is visually taken aback from the route she steered their conversation into, blinking incredulously. She then bursts into hearty laughter, "You just noticed it now?"
"No? I was just wondering- I mean they're beautiful I noticed them long ago every time I stared into your eyes, but were they caused by radiance or were they natural?" Deadlock spoke a little too fast to be comprehensible, luckily Fade paid no mind. She was too busy laughing at the absurdity of her question
"Whatever nevermind, urgh." Deadlock buried her face in her hands as she groaned. She could feel her face get hotter and redder
Deadlock set her body straight in an abrupt motion, it unintentionally shifts Fade's arm to wrap around her waist instead of her shoulder. The change in weight also deepens the dip she has on the couch, bringing Fade closer to her. The bare skin that her shorts doesn't cover stick to Fade's pyjama pants.
"For the record, I was born with it." Fade managed a reply after stifling her laughter. "Are they real eyes? Seriously?"
"They're beautiful, nonetheless." Deadlock, deeply yawns after uttering those words, "Sorry, long day."
Fade only hums in acknowledgement, her free hand reaching over to two of the throw pillows scattered about. She mindlessly fluffs them up, props one next to her and another to her back.
"Buraya gel, meleğim. Go to sleep you're clearly far too exhausted" Fade said as she manhandles Deadlock into her lap. She used her free hand to grab her shoulder to maneuver her downwards, her other hand steadying her by the waist to make sure she doesn't fall. The force is unnecessary, it's not like Deadlock resisted. "You can think of my heterochromia after you're well rested."
"You'll never let me live this down?"
"Never, it's so stupid." Fade replied as she strokes her hair with one hand, and scratching her chin with the other- Hey, wait a minute
"I am not a kitty-cat" Deadlock pouts at Fade.
"Go to sleep now or I'll send out prowler to knock you out." Fade threatens her lightly, not ceasing her ministrations.
Deadlock defiantly stares right back at her with an angry expression, alas it has no effect on Fade. She only smirks in return, the hand scratching Deadlock's chin leaves it's place. Wisps of black and red start forming around it as she waves it around Deadlock's line of sight.
"Fine, fine, Good night. Sleep with me, Fade" Deadlock huffs as she willingly drifts into unconsciousness, not even understanding her own words.
Deadlock wakes up in the common area in Fade's arms, her head on her chest, and a warm feeling in her own. One of the throw pillows managed their way to support Fade's head, the other seemingly forgotten on the floor. However, instead of being greeted with a good morning from Fade, she's greeted with a gaggle of giggling younger agents gawking, cooing, and fussing over them. Yoru and Phoenix are mockingly making kissy noises at each other, Jett and Neon have their phones out documenting their position in every possible angle.
"Looks like the princess woke up, eh?" Clove jokingly remarked. That's one way to sour the mood
"If one word of this gets out to Fade or anyone else that isn't in this room, I will kill each and every one of you starting with Gekko's pets"
The hollow threat is effective enough to make the group run off, not without protest from Gekko exclaiming "Wingman and the crew didn't even do anything!" in the next room.
She's left with Fade's shallow breathing and an itching sensation in her throat. Deadlock hooks her arms under her Fade's body as she carries her into her room, the woman seldomly falls asleep. She deserves to wake up in privacy and in a comfortable bed, as comfortable her own bed may be to other people.
