Chapter Text

Arthit was rich, he seemed to have it all. If “having it all” meant having nothing they’d be right. No matter how rich or obnoxious he could be, nothing filled the empty void in his chest. He yearned. He yearned hard. He wanted to be someone that people don’t immediately make assumptions about, someone they can turn to without thinking he’s a complete asshole. The few friends he did have were great, but he caught himself wanting more. Hill, Johan, and Tonfah had it all. They had a life outside of school, they were good at the medical path, and they had someone to keep them company. Arthit had no one. Most of all he yearned for the pretty blue haired boy who was oblivious to all his flirty attempts. He never wanted to feel this way, he’d rather let everything go. He usually does. But this boy had some kind of pull on him that he couldn’t shake. This terrified him even more.

He woke up, stretching for a minute before finally getting up. He walked towards his closet grabbing his uniform and quickly brushed his hair before running out to get to school. If he gets there at a certain time he can linger in the halls and look for Daotok, the boy he unwillingly yearns for. He can’t help it, if you saw him you would yearn too!!! His glossy eyes, his shiny blue hair, and his introverted attitude all filled Arthit with warmth. They’d talked a few times, mainly when Arthit tried to hit on him or make small talk. It never worked, this small cutie was completely oblivious. TO EVERYTHING. Arthit guessed he was just shy or didn’t like him. But he wouldn’t stop!

Daotok walked up the stairs, Easter following close behind. They saw Hill with the others, including Arthit. Dao was about to turn right around until Easter pulled him right along with him. Dao sighed, he wasn’t very outgoing and he definitely didn’t wanna be surrounded by these large men whom he had nothing in common with. Arthit stood so confidently, and he spoke with no care in the world. But Dao admired it. He would never say this to anyone, but Arthit intrigued him. Another reason why he’d rather go to class early. As Easter talked to the guys, Arthit went straight to Dao. He placed a hand on his soft hair, stroking it slightly. Dao should have pushed him off, he should have escaped. But he let it happen for a moment.

“How are you this morning Dao~ did you get a good sleep?”

He looked up to the taller man with tired eyes. He in fact did not get much sleep and somehow they both knew this.

“Yeah it was fine.”

He dryly replied before slipping away from his touch. Arthit knew he had lost once again. But this was only the start! He still had the whole day to test Dao's limits. And you bet he would.

It grew to be afternoon and classes were all over. Arthit walked with his friends as they talked about meeting their boyfriends that night.

“Hey would.. Dao come along?”

“Oh yeah he usually does. Why do you ask?”

He grew silent. He hadn’t told them anything about his deep feelings for Daotok and he didn’t plan to for another while. Not until he pushed further.

“Oh no reason, where are we meeting tonight then?”

“Our favorite bar!”

Arthit knew this would be fun.

He went home first. He had to look perfect for Dao. He wanted Dao to see how serious he was. He tried to slap the thought away but it still lingered.

“Pathetic.”

He whispered to himself. Even so, he still wanted to go, to enjoy this night with the benefit of seeing Dao. He didn’t know why the younger had this grasp on him. He didn’t want things like this but he had no control. It was like he had given his soul to Daotok. Yearning hurts. And he was hurt. He never thought he was destined for anything good and I guess part of that would be Dao. He will still try though, for the sake of his own happiness. He craved that feeling. He often dreamed of a life where he was happy, just like his friends. He really had everything but nothing at the same time. All he wanted was to be different but at the same time it horrified him. Letting go would be easy. He would have loved to let go because the thought of changing how his life already was wasn’t pleasant but he couldn’t see himself letting go of Daotok. He wanted to ignore this overwhelming urge but he couldn’t. Arthit felt like this was his only chance to show who he really was for once.

“When it’s said and done, let it go.”

It was his usual moto. He followed it in everything he did, hiding what he really wanted. He wished it would work for the blue haired boy, it never seemed too.
