It was early in the morning that much he could tell by how there was a bit of light peaking through the curtains. If he had to guess it was around 5 in the morning and he knew he didnt have to get the other 3 up for another hour. He was a little confused on what woke him up until he heard the smallest whines coming from beside him.
As the omega was sitting up and attacked by frigid air settled on his now exposed skin. To his right his alpha was still snoring without a car in the world. Qifrey position his body slightly to the left to the crib that was attached to his side of the bed that laid their 2 week old newborn Coco.
“Its all right Coco” He reassured as he picked her up. She was their smallest baby by far and was quite quiet compared to her sisters growing up. He pushed the crib away from his side as he soothed her, as much as he would've liked to go back to sleep, he knew it wasn't likely and he did not want to wake his alpha up.
Coco had quieted down just happy to be in her Mama’s arms; Out of all his girls Coco was definitely a Mama’s girl and rarely wanted to leave his side.
Agott preferred Olruggio but was happy to be in the presence of both of them. She was the oldest girl at 4 and a half and would have preferred to be the only child; Richeh and Tetia are twins that were complete opposites, they were now 2 years old and Qifrey was praying to whatever gods that they did not have the terrible twos with them like Agott had but only time would tell.
He was thankful that Olly was able to get more than a month off to help him with the kids and getting settled. Coco not only turned out to be the clingiest but he also had a rough labour and ended up having to have an emergency c-section; and is it selfish of him to say he just wants his alpha to himself (and his girls).
The white haired omega exited their bedroom and started heading towards the room across from them which was the nursey to change Coco’s diaper. The nursey’s door was white with four cats on it, each was added when the girls were born. It currently only roomed Richeh and Tetia but eventually when Coco was old enough she would move in with them.
The omega and his alpha would have to discuss the room assignment as the girls get older but Agott got overstimulated easily and needed a safe place to escape.
Coco let out a big whine and stretched her arms a little bit. Qifrey rubbed her back and started to get everything he would need to make it as quick as possible so he didnt risk waking up his heaviest sleepers.
He lowered Coco down on the changing mat and made quick work of changing her diaper. She would get her clothes changed later in the day but he was more concerned with getting her fed before she started fusing.
As he left the girls room he made sure to leave the door cracked open in case they needed them but the omega was sure Olruggio had the baby monitor.
“Mama!” He heard from his right side and based on the voice he knew it was his oldest. He looked down and sure enough she was waiting at the gate in front of the stairs waiting for him.
“Good Morning Agott, You're sure up early” The mother whispered to her with a smile on his face, in response Agott reached up to take his free hand. They had the rule that they had to be with adult on the steps and Agott was the one who learned the hard way on why that became a rule.
The mother and daughters went downstairs quietly. As soon as they reached the bottom Agott ran towards the living room and picked up the picture book she was reading last night. Qifrey followed in with Coco after grabbing one of the burping cloths on the side table, He sat down on the couch facing the TV and unbuttoned his shirt bringing Coco close enough so she could latch.
His oldest came up to him and crawled onto the couch since she was too short to get on it the normal way, and sat next to him with a book in hand. He wrapped his right arm around her and started playing with her curls.
Qifrey loved mornings like this, most of the time they were fast and chaotic but occasionally it was quiet and time went slow. The baby in his arms continued to eat and stared at him with so much love in her eyes. The omega started purring to help put both of his girls back to sleep.
Agott was nodding off a bit so he started humming you are my sunshine while continuing to play with her hair. Next thing he knew when he looked over was her sleeping on his lap. Coco wasnt far behind her and had unlatched. He quickly burped her and then put her in the swing with it on the lowest setting.
He sat back on the couch and closed his eyes. Qifrey decided he could rest for a few minutes with his girls before the chaos started.
