Chapter Text
. . .
It was like in a blink of an eye.
The storm had stopped. And out came the mysterious goo that no one knew how to fix yet. The sky was dark enough to see a reflection, but not a single lifeform was in sight.
Two swung their body off the bed. A loud thud rambled through the hotel. Their limbs flanking uselessly around them as they huffed in frustration .
The blanket had done nothing to cushion their fall. Their room was like a fallout basement. Absolutely wrecked. Scratches on the walls and trash everywhere. Wrappers included. A whole pile of trash to be exact in the corner since they couldn't be bothered to actually put it into the trashcan.
They had heard her. It didn't matter what the context was. All they knew was that SHE was back. Two never didn't anything to HER. So why were they getting punished. They had lost Gaty. Now they face the fact they're Alone.
They pulled back their long limbs. Trying to drag their heavy body to the window. Yet it was useless. Too dark to see the outside of the land. They could only hear the wind now that she was gone.
Two groaned, using all their weight to slam into the window. To do ANYTHING to the useless piece of heated sand. But not even a Crack had formed.
They had tried to use their power— and ultimately forgot they didn't have it.
Two ended up giving up. Flopping on the floor while trying to push their limbs back into themselves. Slowly, but surely.
They perked at the sound of small footsteps. Another contestants perchance? But the footsteps had echoed and faded. They were gone before Two could call out.
Their limbs failed and failed to grip onto eachother. Heavy thuds as they kept on falling onto the wooden floor.
Finally deciding to bear it. They chop on their arms and starting pushing it into their body again. Still slow, their mouth couldn't go that far anyways.
They tipped over, knocking over the lamp which seemed to shatter on impact. Two jumped, looking up to see if it would cause someone to notice. But no one did.
No one was here.
No one is alive.
Because of them. Because of this stupid contest that got them nowhere.
Two choked out a sob. Slamming their hands into their face, or their arms. It looped around their body. Now they were more tangled up.
Two hissed, trying to move their arms back to the last position. Which probably made it worse as it went under their legs.
Two bit onto their limbs again. Pulling onto whatever they saw as green. Holding back whimpers of pain as the limbs harshly tightened.
Useless.
