In the mood for love

Summary:

A missed train, two pissed off omegas and a pair of pathetic alphas that have inevitably fucked up. Cue unwarranted life advices, whining and an upcoming funeral if Naruto doesn't get get his ass home on time.

"I'm telling ya, it's those damned sparkly purple eyed ones who're always causin' this storm. Gojo can vouch for this," Yuuta casts a side eye to the huffing whisked-face alpha, discontent with the insinuation that his Toge could do any wrong.

"You've whined about missing Uchiha-san at least 11 times in the past hour.."

"Damn right I do!"

Notes:

It's been a long time since I posted anything, but I love Ottoge and Narusasu and this small snippet idea won't leave my mind so here's a little something!

Chapter 1: Happy? Hour somewhere

Chapter Text

Yuuta stumbles up the last step of the staircase, just as the doors whoosh with the finality of his doom and the last train to Tokyo departs from the station.

The silence is palpable with the station being practically deserted at this hour. The next train isn't until 4:25am. He whips his head towards the blaring digital clock displaying 23:56 in sharp red at the opposite platform.

More than four hours.

There he stands, extraordinaire special grade sorcerer Yuuta Okkotsu who just had a devastating, near relationship-breaking argument with the love-of-his-life, apple-of-his-eye omega and missed the chance of any redemption as his omega ran away from him only to board the last train of the day which the special grade sorcerer fucking missed.

He falls to his knees and almost weeps. His pretty omega, all alone in the train, all sad and gloomy because of his shitty alpha who can't get over his own insecurities for him.

Yuuta would give anything for Toge Inumaki; hell he’d give everything for his gorgeous omega. He's known this fact well over for 6 years, ever since he came back from Africa after presenting and had caught the magical, amethyst gaze of a newly presented Toge.

It was fate, it was destiny, it was magic and luck and god's blessings all in one crescendo leading to the moment when Toge had nodded to Yuuta’s courting proposal with the biggest smile which almost ended up killing the alpha had the mischievous omega not pecked his lips and brought him back to life the very next instant.

Yuuta had only ever prayed once in this life and Kami had granted him his yearned love with generous hands. His to love and cherish forever—and what does he do with that?

He tells his omega—in the middle of a party with all special grade sorcerers of Tokyo present— that he isn't ready to mate yet.

He tells Inumaki Toge, the cutest omega in the world, that he isn't “ready” to mate. He thinks he had even heard Rika’s curse face palming herself in that second.

“I'm the worst boyfriend ever,” he groans into his palms that press against his face keeping his tears at bay.

“Yeah man, I won't be too sure of that.”

The upbeat voice startles him badly enough that he falls back on his ass. Yuuta looks up to search for the owner of the voice and finds an alpha sprawled in the plastic seat against the wall behind him, a few steps away.

“I'm a strong contender for the title currently–oh wait, maybe not. I'm running for Worst Husband,” the blonde alpha grins at him with sharp glinting canines, motioning to take the adjacent seat.

“Come on up here, can't be too comfortable on that cold floor. We've got four of these self pity hours to ourselves.”
