and i don’t want you to go (but i want you so)

Summary:

“but if you’re kimi, why are you at this party? arvid said kimi wasn’t coming,” there’s a hint of suspicion in ollie’s voice. being drunk is definitely getting to him because he swears he’s speaking gibberish. “nah, you’re definitely a fake kimi. a very… accurate, cute and beautiful fake kimi.”

“i am the real kimi,” the shorter boy urges, annoyance leaking through. the claim leaves ollie to scramble his brain to try and sober up. it doesn’t work, he drank too much tonight. he still finds it hard to believe that this boy, who is now dragging him by the wrist, is the andrea kimi antonelli.

Work Text:

ollie hates this party. arvid had left to go find liam; gabi left to go find nico. why must he be the single one in this group? kimi isn’t even at this party, so why did he even come? to socialise? to make friends? he would rather be streaming right now then doing whatever this is supposed to be. at least his birthday stream is in a few days.

if only ollie wasn’t single and alone, then maybe he’ll actually have a reason to enjoy this party. but, no, he doesn’t, so he’s gone back to being socially inept and hiding in a corner while drinking some sort of alcohol. he doesn’t actually know what type of alcohol it is since he never really drinks. well, he does drink, but he drinks to avoid socialising. who would want to interact with a drunk teenage boy, anyway? glancing around the room, ollie’s eyes fall upon arvid dragging a semi-high liam to a different room. he murmurs out ‘freaks’ before turning to go look for gabi and nico.

walking up the stairs to the second floor, he spots gabi sitting on nico’s lap. nico looked older than twenty. gabi had always said that nico was just a year older than him, but now looking at it, nico looked closer to twenty-five. a six-year age gap, maybe…? no, there is no way gabi would be into that.

right?

right?

ollie planned to intentionally go up to gabi and question it, but some shitty straight couple decides to run by him and spill his drink. he watches as the glass hits the carpet, staining it an awful yellow. he flees the scene of the crime before some rich person accuses him and charges him for compensation. ollie doesn’t even have that money. he also wants another drink. if he can’t enjoy this party with his friends, he may as well get drunk to pass the time.

three glasses later, he finds himself watching some random guy perform a magic show. it’s a shitty magic show, but it’s better than standing near the wall on his phone awkwardly. although, it’s getting harder for ollie to tell what was happening in the magic show; being drunk was obscuring his vision somehow. everything is slanted, confusing his brain.

ugh, nothing makes sense, ollie thinks to himself as he stands up only to trip over air and fall. thankfully, someone catches him. he can’t tell if it was on purpose or by accident. most likely an accident. who even is the person who caught him?

“ollie?”

oh. that voice sounds a lot like oscar. scary times. it’s probably not oscar. he hopes to whatever god is up there that the person he fell on and the person currently holding him up isn’t oscar piastri.

he looks up only to see the face of oscar jack piastri.

“ollie, are you drunk?”

“uhhh…” his voice trails off, trying to find the perfect answer. he doesn’t really want to explain himself to oscar, it’d be a stupid reason. oh, yeah, i got drunk because all my friends have boyfriends and i don’t. isn’t that funny? lol. my friends only being two. lol. the beautiful andrea kimi antonelli isn’t even here in the first place. why am i even here. “…no? lol, that’s a funny question.”

oscar’s eyes narrow slightly before pulling the taller boy up to his feet properly. “right… anyway. where are your friends?”

“um. i don’t know,” ollie stammers out as he takes a step back. “i think gabi is with nico.” stop telling this guy everything. “i saw arvid drag liam away earlier… i think liam was high. i think they’re fucking.” seriously. stop. “did you know that nico is probably over the age of twenty-two? can’t believe my best friend is dating an unc.” why did i say that?

“…yeah, let’s get you water,” oscar instructs as he begins to drag ollie to another area of the second floor. ollie doesn’t really want to follow but he’s drunk and can’t be trusted alone. at least he’s aware of that. he does wonder about where oscar is leading him. now thinking about it, did oscar even come with anyone to this party? probably max and george, but i would’ve heard them fighting by now. they always fight at parties.

stopping suddenly, ollie realises that he’s lost oscar in the sea of people around him. fun! i could go for another drink, he tells himself before finding his way to the closest bar. “why do they have a bar on the second floor… isn’t this a house?” ollie mumbles underneath his breath as he orders, pointing to a random logo on the tap. the bartender hands him the glass and he scurries off to some random corner with the glass. he downs it quickly, ignoring how it tastes like shit.

ollie places the glass down on some random shelf, wandering off. this house has a third floor; he takes the flight of stairs up. it’s in that moment where he bumps into someone, someone who has to be a kimi lookalike. the shorter boy in front of him even has an italian accent.

“wow, you look a lot like kimi,” ollie blurts out, not thinking that one through at all. the shorter boy in front of him just stares up at him. however, ollie can’t shut up at all. “you also look really cute. has anyone ever told you that you look cute?”

ollie has already began inspecting the supposed italian in front of him, trying to find the similarities between him and kimi. there’s the brown curly hair… and the height. especially the height. what else? he’s beautiful… just like kimi.

“i am kimi, and thank you?”

“funny joke, lol.”

“i’m not joking.”

“oh.”

ollie stares, forgetting to blink. is the boy in front of him truly kimi? he does look a lot like kimi… so, the boy surely isn’t lying. then he remembers what arvid said about kimi not coming to the party at all. hell, who is this party for again? liam’s roommate’s girlfriend, ollie believes. he also believes he’s getting off track again.

“you called m—”

“can i kiss you?” ollie cuts him off abruptly, speaking what’s currently on his mind. there’s so much going on but all he wants to do is kiss this apparently not fake kimi. if this isn’t the real kimi, then, oh well. it’s not like ollie hasn’t kissed random people before. but if this is the real kimi… he doesn’t want to think about that right now.

kimi freezes, turning to stare at the taller boy, trying to figure out how drunk he is. ollie being wasted is the most logical answer and kimi saying no would also be the most logical answer to the question. ‘what’ is all he can muster out for now, leaving the two to stare at each other awkwardly. it isn’t helping that ollie’s unintentionally backing kimi into a wall. kimi’s resolve is wavering and he just wants to say yes, but if he were to kiss ollie, he’d want to kiss him while he is sober, not drunk and wasting away.

would it be so wrong to say yes?

kimi knows that ollie finds him beautiful, and he thinks the same about the taller boy. but kissing someone who’s drunk? ollie won’t remember it in the morning and that’ll leave kimi with a very big secret to keep. hell, would oscar approve of this? kissing a drunk guy?

“please?” ollie begs, leaning his head down to kimi’s shoulder. “just a short one, then– then i’ll leave you alone. you won’t ever have to see me, promise. you just really look like kimi for some reason– and– and you sound a lot like him… which is really– just… please?”

holy fuck.

kimi can feel his knees go weak, the feeling of ollie’s breath on his neck is too overwhelming; he can’t think straight, which is the annoying part of this all. he can’t think rationally and make a proper decision that he won’t regret. it isn’t fair that ollie looks like a puppy begging for attention.

“sei così inguisto. oscar is going to hate me,” kimi grumbles, gritting his teeth, before he lifts ollie’s head and pulls him in for a kiss.

kimi melts into the kiss immediately, his hands finding their way to ollie’s back and clutching onto his shirt. his soft lips are the first thing kimi notices, then he watches as ollie’s eyes flutter shut. he, himself, can’t shut his eyes, ollie looks too cute to not stare. kimi’s main focus is on how he can feel the talker boy’s hands trying to stay still on his shoulders. how cute.

it’s soft at first, soon becoming clumsy. ollie struggles to find a proper grip, being drunk making every dizzy. he had also decided to close his eyes, causing his spatial awareness to fly out of the window. am i even doing this right? he questions as he unintentionally pushes kimi

ollie is the one who pulls away first after realising that this fake kimi mentioned oscar. he is still not sober enough to put his thoughts into words. “you’re– you– oscar!? you’re real… you– i just kissed the real one. lol… gabi won’t believe me when i tell him. i don’t think i’m gonna remember this.”

“…i don’t expect you to?”

“oh my god, i just kissed the beautiful andrea kimi antonelli.” ollie whisper-screams, his hands shaking slightly as the truth dawns upon him. “you’re practically a prince! and your lips are really soft. can i have another kiss? no, ignore that question. that was stupid.”

kimi watches as ollie panics frantically, his hands waving everywhere as he tries to calm himself down. it doesn’t work, so ollie decides to get another drink, already walking off. kimi follows so he can monitor the intake. he’s so drunk, it’s cute. has he already forgotten about the kiss? ollie orders a random drink from the tap once more, kimi ordering the same thing. he takes a sip only to realise how bad it tastes. either way, ollie downs it in what he believes were three gulps. “hey… can i get that second kiss?”

the brit suddenly leans closer to the italian, placing the glass down in the process. he doesn’t receive an answer at all, receiving the silent treatment instead.

“come on, please?” ollie receives even more silence, kimi refusing to give in. the taller boy sighs, looking the other way. is gabi still up here with nico? i could look for him. he acts on that thought immediately, beginning to walk away. unfortunately, he feels someone grab his wrist. how many more people are going to do this to him?

he prepares to get annoyed at the person only to turn around and see kimi again. “oh… yeah, you’re here. isn’t that funny? you’re really beautiful, has anyone told you, lol? oh! i should take a photo of this so i don’t forget.”

kimi listens as ollie proceeds to go on a two minute ramble about some random bullshit. the italian has no idea what half of the topics are. something about roblox mafia? a part of kimi feels slightly ashamed of himself since he watches ollie’s streams religiously now. how could he not know what games ollie talks about?

as kimi zones out, thinking about the olliebear streams, ollie, himself, fumbles with his phone, looking for the camera app. if he gets a photo of this, he’ll remember it after he sobers up in the morning. surely. kimi zones back in as ollie drops his phone. that elicits a soft chuckle out of the shorter boy. ollie, so suddenly, falls to his knees trying to get his phone. that makes kimi laugh even more.

ollie finally grabs the phone, dusts it off slightly for no reason and opens the camera app. “the lighting in here is shit,” ollie whines, hoping kimi would take pity on him. he receives a head tilt. that’s unfair. and hot… yeah, really hot. super unfair, super hot, lol.

“we should go outside for better lighting,” he stammers out as he grabs kimi’s wrist, pulling him along. the two nearly trip down the stairs, ollie catching kimi before anything horrific happens. there’s a startled look on kimi’s face, something he finds cute. ollie’s more careful with the leading now, walking slower as the two finally reach outside.

“lol. is this house secretly a penthouse?” ollie blurts out. the house, for some odd reason, is situated in the city. it has to be a penthouse now looking at it. it also makes a lot of sense to him with how the building seems on the inside. a gust of wind brings ollie back to the present, reminding him of why he came outside with him. he grabs his phone, opens the camera app, and takes a really shitty photo of him and kimi. “hah. cute.”

“…what?” kimi inquires, pushing himself up onto his tiptoes to see the photo.

“nah-ah,” ollie teases, holding the phone up in the air, watching the younger one squirm trying to reach for it. how cute. i’m also being really mean. he was already in his head, preparing to say something to tease kimi. unfortuntely, kimi’s phone rings, distracting him. he notices the dread on kimi’s face, slowly lowering the phone. ollie opens his mouth only to have it shut as kimi kisses him on the cheek in a hurry. then, he watches the italian scurry into the building once more.

a minute passes, the cold biting at ollie. his mind is reeling at the kiss on the cheek. that was sweet. really sweet. but was that the real kimi?

another minute of silence passes.

“i should call a cab.”
