Work Text:

Tim couldn't find his shirt- for yet the 3rd time this week.

He could find any other shirt, except the one he was looking for- his favorite blue shirt, specifically the one with the buttons on the top.

He wanted to take Lucy on some-what of a nice date, after everything that had happened in the past week, and being him, he wants to look nice for his fiancée.

He looks throughout the closet for the third time, getting the same results as the time before.

Had Lucy ripped that shirt off of him last time? No- that was the green silk one...

He stared at Lucy's drawers.

Knowing her reputation of stealing his shirts and it couldn't hurt to look.

He slides the drawer open looking in.

He looks at the nearly folded clothes, then slamming the drawer shut.

"I can't." He whispers to himself, standing from the ground.

The date wasn't for another three hours but, he did like to tease.

"Luce?" He walks into the hallway, "Have you seen my-"

She stands in front of him.

In the shirt he has been looking for, her small frame getting swallowed by it.

She looks up at him, then studies him as she looks sown.

"Is that my shirt?" He sighs, rubbing his temples, jokingly.

"Maybe." She grins, "I'm simply just borrowing it."

Tim laughs softly, a small smile filling his face.

"Babe, that doesn't fit you at all."

"And?" She does a small spin, "I'm still pulling it off."

"Yes, except I need it that for tonight."

Lucy frowns, "Damn."

"How about this, I'll help you pick out an outfit."

Lucy pretends to ponder for a second before nodding, "You've got good-ish taste."

Tim gasps in mock offense, "Good... ish?"

Tim picks Lucy up effortlessly.

"Eep!"

"Reminder- you said yes." Tim smirks.

"As long as I get free rides in all departments." She smiles smuggly.

Tim laughs carrying her into their room.

------

"What about this one?" He holds up her red dress.

"Too overly romantic." Lucy sighs, going back to staring at Tim's abs.

Tim stares at her confusingly, the throws the dress onto the pile.

"Literally the last thing in the closet." He grabs out a sunflower colored sweater.

Lucy stares at it before nodding, "That's cute!"

She takes off his shirt, throwing it to him, as he throws her the sweater.

Tim looks at his watch, then looks at the pile of clothes on the floor.

"We'll have to get that late because we are going to be late." Tim walks out the room grabbing his keys and putting on his boots.

"Lucy?"

He looks into the bedroom, and Lucy stands in there, staring at herself in mirror.

Tim walks up behind her, planting a kiss on her neck.

Lucy just bites her lip.

"Luce, what's wrong?"

"I look..."

"Beautiful." Tim finishes, turning her towards him, "And if anyone says otherwise, they'll have to deal with me."

Lucy smiles softly, pulling Tim into a hug.

"I love you." She mutters against his shirt, "I don't say that enough."

Tim smiles at her softly, "I love you too, Luce, now, we really do have to get going."

Tim leads her out of the room, before Lucy speaks again.

"Yellow and blue really are our colors, aren't they?"

Notes:

Thanks for reading! 👔👕

I thought I was going to write this one to be longer, but it's 11:26 at night and I really don't feel like more is necessary.
