Work Text:
The air down here feels colder tonight.
If I could’ve cried while walking down the creaky steps, I would’ve. The basement was dark, as always. There’s a reason.. but it’s whatever. Typically I’m the only one who goes down here anyway, since I don’t really let people down here. And because I have night vision, well.. that should explain that.
Click.
I tensed briefly, only three steps from the base of the stairs. Someone followed me down? Who? They shouldn’t be down here; nobody should! My mind was racing until the silence broke:
“Lunar…”
I recognized that voice.
“S-Subspace? Why are you down here..?”
He didn’t respond immediately. Something was wrong. I could feel it. My heart began to pound, and my fur rose. I couldn’t help but back up, my claws scuffing against the cement flooring.
“Don’t hide, Lunar~ c’mon.. you can trust me, right?~”
Then he came closer.. too much too fast. I kept backing up until he had me pinned to the wall. Crap.
“Wh..why are you- did you follow me down here?”
“Of course~ I just needed us to have a little.. ‘alone time’. Hmhm..”
No..
(I’m not getting too graphic with this, because it does bring me some discomfort to write. Also I couldn’t write it good if I tried.)
Everytime his claws dig into my fur I’d yelp.. obviously no one hears you down here.
He’d bite me hard when he kissed me.
I tried to pull away a few times but he’d choke me.
I remember having several minor cuts and bruises along my ribs and neck.. they didn’t heal for a long time.
I still flinch when he raises his hand towards me too quickly.
That’s.. as far as I’m going with that. I sat there for hours afterward.. through all of that he just left. Like nothing happened. While I was on the ground, shaking and bleeding.
After I eventually got up from that encounter, I felt worse. First Prototype happened. Then Lime Girl. Now this? Now Subspace? What is happening..
Once I got a decent footing back I went to my left, and opened the middle door.. I didn’t set the lock, since I had to be in front eventually, but I did spend the night there, at the very least. My padded room was the only thing that brought me comfort.. I just tried best I could to feel like nothing else was down there with me.
…even though I still feel the air down here get cooler sometimes.
