Your so weird.

Summary:

Secret Agent and Intern were never super close, atleast, not in her eyes that is. But Intern always seemed especially different around her.

Work Text:

Secret Agent sat at the Security cameras, filling in for her since she messed up and got attacked by an anomaly. Her Sanity was far to low for her to be trusted with the cameras.

Secret Agent let out a sigh, she had no idea how Security could sit around here and do almost nothing until a ambulance came in. She preferred being able to go wherever she pleased, but here she was confined to one spot.

She decided to switch cameras from the lobby and check in since nobody there seemed to be an anomaly. Most of them were empty, not much to do but flip through them over and over.

She paused, focusing on the newest patient at the check in desk. They sat there waiting for Secretary to get to them, nothing off about them either.

Secret Agent groaned, “hey Secretary, I think I’ll go take a walk.”

Secretary lifted an eyebrow, “in the building? If so forget about it. I need someone in the cameras.”

Secret Agent rolled her eyes, Well, how about this, I’ll go on a walk and get Intern to watch the camera’s in my place.”

Secretary paused, staring at her a second longer before letting out a sigh, “I’m to tired to argue with you. Sure, if you find them, tell them to come over.”

Secret Agent smirked and shot out form her chair immediately, “thank’s, I’ll bring them over quickly.” Secret Agent waved back to Secretary as he walked out of the Security. He picked up on Secretary grumbling something, but he could care less about that now.

He walked over to the shop, the Shopkeeper Nurse seemed as bored as ever. He couldn’t imagine how boring it would be to sit around in one spot all day.

“You doing good in there?” Secret Agent called out, only to be met with a deadpan stare. Must be a bad day for her.

Secret Agent moved on, peeking into every room while she looked for Intern. They weren’t in room one or two. Nor were they in three.

Secret Agent snoopily poked her head through room four’s door. Finally finding Intern doing Intern things.

They stood underneath a mass of eyes, eyedrops in hand. They lifted the eyedrops up and tried to treat the mass of eyes. But the second they tried to look up, they minced as the eyes took another chunk of their sanity.

“This is dumb…” They grumbled. Secret Agent stifled a laugh, she had half the mind to just stay put and watch the Intern struggle with this.

Intern slowly gathered up the confidence to try again, only to immediately give up after losing yet another bit of sanity.

Secret Agent smirked, as fun as it would be to just sit and watch, eventually Intern was going to run themselves dry of sanity.

Secret Agent slowly pried open the door, slowly making their way around until they were right next to the Intern.

”Need help with that?” She asked, tapping their shoulder and watching as they nearly leaped away in surprise.

”Where the- oh, it’s you!” Intern stammered, a slight flush entering their cheeks. Secret Agent just assumed they were embarrassed.

“Your so weird sometimes, what are you even doing?” Secret Agent giggled, Intern shied away from her gaze.

“Giving the Mass of eyes form eyedrops.”

”Who told you giving the mass of eyes eyedrops would work?” She questioned, w out to take the eyedrops from them.

”Head Nurse, does it actually work or do I look dumb.” Intern sighed, only now noticing Secret Agent reaching for the eyedrops.

”Hey! You can’t have it!”

”Huh.” Secret Agent tilted her head,  “why not.”

“Because I have to do it myself to pro-“ Before they could finish their sentence, Secret Agent snatched the eyedrops from them.

”Hey!” Intern lunged for them, almost knocking Secret Agent over, but she kept herself rooted, moving the eyedrops away from Intern.

”Nope.” She giggled, watching Intern lunge for it again, but she moved it away just before they could grab it.

”Don’t you know cats have the quickest reflexes?” She laughed, holding the eyedrops just out of reach in the air.

Intern stood in front of her, their toes nearly touching. By now they stopped hopping around for the eyedrops. Instead they seemed fixated on staring her down.

Secret Agent stared back, Intern was much shorter than she was, likely because they were a bunny. But they seemed much different now.

Secret Agent could almost never figure out what emotion Intern’s eyes were trying to convey, but for some reason, it looked almost like they were staring in adoration of her. Secret Agent brushed it off quickly, it wouldn’t be the first time she was wrong about what Intern was thinking

The longer they stared at eachother, the deeper Intern’s cheeks flushed. Secret Agent never noticed how much smaller Intern was compared to her. In fact, she could probably lift them up with one arm if she really wanted to.

It was kind of adorable. They seemed so flustered by the fact that they couldn’t get the eyedrops.

It was the eyedrops right?

Secret Agent only now noticed that the mass of eyes was still up there, and she was pointing the eyedrops right there. If Intern subverted their gaze even a little they would lose even more sanity.

”Hey, duck real quick.” Secret Agent said, an idea forming in their head.

Intern blinked back to life, “huh?”

Secret Agent cupped their cheek and made them look to the wall before taking the eyedrops back down. Intern was always quick to notice some of the smallest details, there was no doubt they would look back up if she tried moving it earlier.

Secret Agent removed her and from Intern’s cheek, and Intern looked back up at her. this was the widest their eyes had ever been, in fact, she had no clue their eyes could even widen.

“Are you alright?” Secret Agent looked the Inter up and down, they seemed alot more off than before. Maybe they weren’t a fan of physical touch.

Intern blinked again, before their eyes finally returned their normal size, “w-what was that!” They cried, pointing at Secret Agent accusingly.

“Hm?”

”W-Why did you-“ Intern stopped talking abruptly, by now they were as red as a beet, they opened their mouth, almost as if to keeo talking, before just letting out a groan and storming towards the exit.

”Wait, where are you going? Stay, I wanted to teach you how to actually do it!” Secret Agent called out. Intern paused at the doorway, slowly craning their neck back around to look at Secret Agent.

”…fine.” Intern pouted, shuffling back into the room, the blush on their face had calmed down by now, but it was still there.

”Sorry for touching you like that, didn’t think you’d hate it that much.” Secret Agent apologized. Intern glanced back up at her, alot softer than before.

“I don’t hate it.”

”Then why did you react like… that?” Secret Agent asked.

Intern seemed like they had a reply, but they bit their tongue, “just tell me how it works already…”

Secret Agent wanted to push on the topic a little more, but they just shrugged it off and pointed up at the Mass of eyes.

”Ok, don’t look at it, just look at me.” Secret Agent stepped into the center of the room, watching Intern fixate their gaze onto her chest, then her face, before turning away.

”What are you doing.” Secret Agent  tilted her head, and Intern finally looked back. Some of the flush from earlier returning to their face.

”Alright, it’s simple. All you have to do is this.” Secret Agent looked up, feeling a bits of their sanity getting taken.

They aimed and squeezed the eyedrops into each eye, until they stopped taking her sanity.
She only lost about 8 sanity from it, not to bad.

”…what’s the trick. You still lost sanity.”

“There is none,” Secret Agent shrugged, “honestly I have no clue why Head Nurse told you anyways, it isn’t a good idea. Easier to ignore it.” Secret Agent liked doing it to test their aim, but Intern didn’t need to know that part

“Wha- then why does she do it every time it appears?” Intern stammered

”She hates it when the tears fall on her.”

Intern rolled their eyes, “that barely ever happens.”

“Well she more of a ‘better safe than sorry’ kind of girl.” Secret Agent sighed, “also, how low did you get your sanity from trying that?”

”oh…” Intern shuffled their feet, “like, I’m at 49 percent.”

”Not bad, still, you should probably go get some coffee just in case. It might help you out with how with how weird you’ve bee lately.”

”Hey! What’s that supposed to mean?” Intern cried.

”Well, you get flustered like really easily, and sometimes you get a little lost in thought. And I think you’ve developed a staring issue.” Secret Agent listed.

”That was only just now.” Intern pouted.

”This is definitely not the first time,” Secret Agent replied.

”It was that obvious?” Intern seemed shock that she was able to notice.

”What was?”

Intern froze, staring down at their feet, “well, I um…”

Secret Agent picked up on someone coming over, but before she could even do anything, the door swung open.

”Hey, I hope you had a nice walk.” Secretary grumbled, Intern let out a yelp as he entered the room, “theres quite a few people at the check in if your ready to help out now.”

Secret Agent rolled her eye, she completely forgot Security wasn’t here anymore. She looked over to se me if Intern would finish what they were saying. But they were avoiding her gaze again.

”Yeah, yeah, sorry.” She walked over to follow Secretary back to the check in, taking one last glance back at Intern.

They had their ears in their hands covering their face, they were mumbling something that she couldn’t quite pick up on.

”…Your so weird sometimes.” Secret Agent murmured, she couldn’t lie though, seeing Intern so flustered was a kind of adorable.
