Work Text:
Boomie was staring down at Noob, his anger clearly evident.
Noob had revived the peace keepers.
Without telling him.
He wasn’t even surprised.
Because he wasn’t wrong.
He would’ve stopped them if he knew.
But he didn’t and now this bullshit was happening.
Noob was making an offer to let him home.
He just scoffed and tried not to laugh.
Instead he was trying to make a bargain to get someone else out.
Noob declined and Boomie left after that.
It was no use arguing with Noob when he was that focused on a goal.
Instead of wasting his time he went back to the base camp, giving Tai some trims when he asked for some.

Boomie was lying on the floor in his cave, unable to even enter his headspace.
He had such a bad headache he couldn’t even sit upright.
He just wanted to pass out, this was worse than dying in a trap.
Well, technically this was a trap.
Just not the type that killed you off.
He wanted to pass out already, that was the only thought in his head.
He didn’t even register the footsteps coming in.
The strength dimension was affecting him more than he had expected.
His eyes landed on Mugm yet he didn’t react.
Like he wasn’t even there.
His eyes were empty, not registering anything.
˚.❀.°
Mugm just stared at Boomie.
He looked at Tai, then back at Boomie and did that a couple of times.
“What the fuck…?”
”Don’t Look at me like I know!”
Tai looked the way Mugm felt.
He knew Boomie was weird but this?
Definitely not in his expected list.
Was he confused?
Yeah.
Did he feel like Boomie needed help?
Also yeah.
“Okay… who do we ask for help, because Boomie ain’t alive for long like that.”
He glanced at Tai before going to pick up Boomie, the devil groaning from the movement.
He took Boomie on his back while Tai messaged someone.
“I mean the people most likely to know what’s going on with him are his old teammates, no?”
“Tai. We’re not asking Noob or Pierce.”
Tai looked sheepishly at Mugm and the voidling sighed.
Of course Tai had already sent a message to Noob.
<_Tai> yo noob something’s up with Boomie
<ItsN00b> like what
<_Tai> he’s kinda passed out in some cave?
<ItsN00b> come to the strength portal
<ItsN00b> bring Boomie
“He wants us to bring Boomie to the portal.”
Mugm didn’t trust Noob at all.
But he didn’t feel like letting their main support die of whatever he was going through either.
“Fine. You fly under me in case I drop him.”
Tai nodded and Mugm didn’t know when the last time was he’d flow with someone on his back.
He’d just have to trust Tai.
˚.❀.°
Tai was flying under Mugm, glancing up every now and then.
He spotted the portal in the distance, stopping before the chunkban area.
Mugm noticed as well and landed.
˚.❀.°
Mugm spotted Noob nearby, walking towards him with Boomie on his back.
Noob looked actually concerned, which was a first after everything that had happened in the strength dimension.
Noob told him to put Boomie down and the man checked on the devil, something indecipherable creeping in on his expression.
What was going on?
“I can take care of him. You can leave.”
“We’re not going to leave until we know what’s going on.”
“Ugh, Boomie is reacting to the dimension, he’s been here for too long. He’s basically experiencing recoil from the server, don’t ask me how.”
Mugm stayed quiet, eyeing the delirious Boomie before nodding and turning to leave.
˚.❀.°
Boomie was half delirious, only barely recognizing Noob from his red glowing scar.
He mumbled his name when Noob picked him up.
The way to the portal was only half there for him.
He saw blurred colors until he was in front of a red batch of color.
He felt gravity take him while Noob threw him into the portal.
It was like he was snapped back into reality in one hand, crying out as the pain finally fully registered.
He wanted heavily, his vision clearing as he started to process what had just happened.
It felt bad to say the least.
Noob had gotten him out.
Just because he had passed out.
He didn’t know whether to be grateful or pissed.
He decided for neither and dragged himself to his shop where he finally collapsed and lied behind the counter.
He didn’t hear the noise of the portal going off again and again, letting out multiple people.
Someone was in his shop but he didn’t notice them.
His eyes were empty and his mind was gone.
He’d wake up in the next few days.
˚.❀.°
Mugm was surprised Noob had let everyone out.
His team didn’t look happy about it but they didn’t have a choice.
He and Tai went to check on Boomie just in case and found him in his base.
They carried him to his bed back further into the shop, where they left him to recover.
They were a bit grateful after all.
