Chapter Text

The morning light was a blur to Tommy, his bones felt like lead to him. He already felt overwhelmed as the background noise of his brothers rang into his ears. Wilbur was finger picking a song, it sounded like landslide by Fleetwood back based off the finger plucking. Techno was playing his violin alongside wilbur. Humming the melody too. The clatter of pans was already beginning to annoy him. He was finally seeing the numbers drop on the scale, yet it was never enough for him. No matter how much the numbers would go lower. It never truly satisfied him.

After staring at the ceiling for a good 3 minutes. (It's been 10 actually according to the clock.) he got out of the bed, the wood felt cold against his feet. But his body temperature adapted as he opened the bathroom door and turning on the shower, waiting for the hot water.

"I'm not hungry." Tommy declared , staring at his scrambled eggs with sleep still in his eyes. The smell of butter filled his nostrils, he hated it. He hated eating, it always made him feel gross. Disgusting even. He began picking at the scar on his palm. Tommy stood up and left his plate in the sink, picking up his bag from the wooden dining chair but when he was about to step out. His father called out.

"Tommy, you forgot your lunch." Philza called out from his seat, holding a cup of tea, his tone smooth. "Again." he always knew when Tommy 'forgot' his lunch, it was practically a daily occurrence for him to say he wasn't hungry, 'forget' his lunch, and Phil having to remind Tommy to bring it. How did he always know? Tommy wondered to himself. He sighed before walking over to the kitchen counter to grab the brown paper lunch bag. He waved goodbye to phil before pulling the door handle and walking on the same path. The same path he walked for what felt like infinite amount, which was kind of a strech but hey. It's Tommy, what do you expect from him?

On the path to his school, tommy scrolled through his phone. One of the only things that gave him somewhat of a dopamine boost, but it never lasted long for him. He eventually tucked his phone into his pocket after his eyes started to hurt from either the blue light from the phone or the sun rays. He kept his head down to avoid being glanced at by strangers.

Having eventually made it to his school, he was surprisingly not late considering how chaotic he was, he spotted his best friend, Tubbo. Finally, Tubbo went to school because Tommy always heard of him going on the most random side quests he could possibly imagine, "Tubbo!" he called out to him, ruffling the shorters boys hair. "Why the hell were you at Buckingham Palace day??!" He questioned him at a fast pace. "Side quests Tommy, I was on a side quest." Tubbo responded, trying his best to somewhat match Tommy's boisterous energy. They began to walk to their first period, Math. Great.. Spoiler alert, it wasnt great at all. Literally no one likes that class.

Tommy spaced out as his math teacher talked about algebra, or something like that. He was tuning it out as he spun his pencil. All Tommy could really think about was just getting out of this class, and out of this school after dismissal. Hopefully Tubbo has time to go hang out at a Tescos, for the side quests of course. As the bell rung, Tommy picked up his bagoff his seat, thinking about what his next class was, ah right. Chemistry, he approached Tubbo. Intending to ask him if he wanted to hang out after school with him. "Hey Tubbo, do you want to go to Tescos after school?" he asked, hoping Tubbo would be available to go hang out. "Yeah, I can go." Tubbo responded back to tommy, he was currently searching for his chemistry textbook inside of his bag, but to no available. "Do you think we could share textbooks?" Tubbo begged Tommy. "Yeah sure we can. Just sit next to me." he said, unzipping his bag and handing the textbook to tubbo. His sneakers clicked against the marble tiles of the high school floor, he did eventually get to his chemistry class. Just in time. He sketched something in his notebook, not really listening to what he thought was the elements of the periodic table. He tapped his pen against the desk, until the teacher suddenly called his attention.. Great.

"Tom Simons, care to repeat what I just said?" The teacher's voice broadcasted through the classroom, which made Tommy suddenly flinch from how loud it was. Damn it.. You just had to get called on didn't you?! Tommy thought to himself. He exhaled a sharp breath and opened his mouth to speak, "Uhm.. Hydrogen is the.. uh.." he actually thought. "Simplest element..? Praying he was right about that. Eventually after what felt like forever, the teacher spoke again. "That's correct, now back to the lesson.." and that's when Tommy started spacing out again, because if it didn't involve him, he usually never listened to what a teacher had to say. It's a bad habit.

After the bell rang again, it was his english period. He just had to read about some Shakespeare play and stay quiet. Perfect, because he could just space out while daydreaming about some random things while pretending to understand what the play is about. He opened the classroom door and sat down at his desk as the other students also began to settle in into the class. Tommy pulled out his wired earphones while his english teacher handed out texts of the playbto his classmates, he gave a quiet "thanks." as he flipped open the text, analyzing it. The complex words of Shakespeare somewhat confusing him. He muttered underneath his breath, "what the hell does that word mean?!" he questioned inaduibly. He was definitely not confused cause he wasn't listening for half of the lessons. He began daydreaming in the middle of reading the text, when he began daydreaming about what he would buy at tescos. he had like 20 maybe 30 pounds. What could that get him?

His thoughts were suddenly interrupted with the bell ringing, once again. He picked up his bag and began to head to the canteen. Finally, he could sit with Tubbo and Ranboo. But he had to come up with an excuse as to why he wasn't eating his lunch. He looked at his paper lunch bag and tossed it into the trash when no one was paying attention.

As he finally reached the canteen, he sat down at a table with Tubbo and Ranboo, when the question started. "Tommy, where's your food? This is the 3rd time you forgot it this week." Ranboo interrogated him, when Tubbo chimed in agreeing with Ranboo. "Yeah Tommy, it's getting quite concerning. You need to eat." they both seem genuinely worried for Tommy but Tommy didn't want to eat. "I'm fine mates!! Really, also have you hear—" Tommy started yapping on and on, distracting them from what they had just asked a few seconds ago. He hated when people questioned why he rarely ate. It was annoying to him. Why should people care if he ate or not?!

After 30 minutes, the bell rang once more. Signalling the end of the lunch break. Tommy got up and exited the canteen doors, glad that he successfully distracted his friends from worrying about why he wasn't eating lunch again. He had history class so he just had to zone out cause his teacher was old, at this point the teacher was practically blind and deaf at the same time. He zoned out while the teacher talked about what he thought was Medicine Through Time, his mind was somewhere else, probably because of the crusty air or the fact his teacher was balding and didn't realize the fact he was. He let out a quiet snicker before looking back onto his notebook, he picked up his pencil and began sketching on the blank page. He began to draw a magnolia flower. The rough edges of the drawing made it look messy because his leg wouldn’t stop shaking, which made his forearm shake too.

The bell suddenly rang once more, snapping Tommy out of his thoughts. He had to suffer through this for 3 more hours. Great.

Tommy was just getting things from his locker when he suddenly got by existenal dread, realizing that he was going to have to actually grow up, not be 16 in school forever,he'd actually have to get a job, he would actually die one day. Leave this earth. He wasn't gonna live forever. And probably not go to heaven, which caused him to experience a hormonal imbalance. Then that turned into a depressive episode. Great, now it just made him want to cancel his plans with Tubbo, catch a bus home, sleep through the entire day and claim he skipped dinner because he slept too long because school exhausted him that day. It was a stupid excuse. The same one he constantly used to avoid eating meals. He pulled his phone out of his pocket as he slammed his locker shut. He texted with one hand as he walked within the crowd of students who were buzzing to go home.

"Can't actually hangout after school today. Sorry tubs." Tommy texted as he walked to the bus station, waiting for the bus to come.

As the bus eventually arrived, he took his seat. Staring outside as he eventually made it home. Opening the front door and seeing his brothers laying on the couch. Wilbur greeted him first.

"Hey toms! , how was school today?" wilbur asked. He obviously no clue what was going through tommy's mind, or he that he was currently having a depressive episode about the fact he would actually have to grow up. "Fine, same old." Tommy replied. Setting down his bag. Kicking off his shoes. Rushing to get to his room, leaving techno no time to even say something to Tommy.
