It was not a good day, Victor never liked the amusement park, frankly, he hated it.
It was so loud, crowded and when the employees asked him a question all he could do was stare, sitting there so long Wick started to whine and stamp her feet trying to avoid the hot concrete.
But he went, because Andrew was there, sure Andrew was only going because Luca was going, but he never passed up on an opportunity to hangout with his best friend, plus, now that Luca and Edgar were on the rides, he and Andrew could be alone.
Victor scooched closer on the rusty steel bench they had parked themselves on.
“Oh” Andrew paused before continuing, Victor loved how soft his voice was, made it comfortable to hear even with his aversion to voices and sound “is something wrong?”
It was a sunny day so Andrew wore a jacket and a large hat. One big enough that you could barely tell his stark white hair from his skin, Victor didn't know how he wasn't dying of heat stroke on a day like this.
Victor shook his head, ‘I just want to be close to you’
He thought, but could not verbalize. Instead, among the commotion of the crowd, he wrote do you want to try a ride ourselves ? with the knowledge that neither of them really wanted to, he couldn't even stand waiting in line and Andrew hated the pressure, but luca would be upset if they did Nothing so
Even just in the kiddy section?
Maybe they could just enjoy each other's company on something less intense
Andrew contemplated for a moment, watching the circus lights shining lightly in the daytime “if you would like to”
Both of them stood as they waited for Wick to use the bathroom, Victor ready with dog bag in hand as Andrew watched his phone attentively, “Edgar says theyll meet up with us for lunch in an hour” Andrew mumbled just loud enough for Victor to hear, he nodded “they must be having fun” he thought with a smirk on his face “behind a tent somewhere…”
Wick stood up, digging at the ground beneath her feet like she was trying to bury the much to large pile “oh she's done…” Wick padded up to him, tongue dangling out, Wick very much liked Andrew, she liked pretty much all quiet people.. I guess they both had the same taste, Andrew very much DIDNT like wick, it wasnt exactly her fault, they both knew of his irrational fear of dogs.
Hes just so good with her still
“...lets get going” Andrew blurted, brushing Victor's arm to get his attention
“Mhm” he nodded
The section where all the kiddy rides were was at the very front of the park and tended to be uncrowded, other than the occasional screaming toddler and tired parent they were the only ones there, Victor's heart started to beat a little faster “i know i suggested this but-” his thoughts were interrupted by a hand on his shoulder “ah right…”
“Doesnt that one with the ducks remind you of someone” he pointed to a little ride that went up and down in a circle, a bored teenage employee tended to a purple duck, victor laughed, his tension dissipating Someone a little eccentric?
“Arent all of us?”
