It had been a long day...Y/N had been exploring all day and made the mistake of leaving their helper best friend (and person they've been crushing on) at home..oops..! When Y/N got home, Verity jumped up from where he was sitting to check Y/N for any injury's "You were gone so long! Are you hurt?" Verity asked Y/N with concern, the one thing that boy hated was seeing his favorite person hurt. Whether paper cut or wolf attack, Verity hated seeing Y/N injured. "I'm fine Verity, don't worry!" Y/N told Verity, but he still checked them for any form of harm.
After Verity's check-in, he finally backed off "I'm glad you're alright! Could I ask why you were gone for so long?" Verity asked Y/N with a curious tilt of his head "Just looking for supply's for a new build I'm making" Y/N responded as they put away their newly acquired materials in a chest. A long moment passed where the two were silent besides the noise of Y/N sorting before Verity asked "Hey..Could i ask you something..?" Y/N looked up from their sorting "Yeah sure, what's up?" Verity took a deep breath before asking "Do..Do you have a partner..? Like a romantic partner..?" Y/N blushed slightly, fidgeting with their hair before responding with "I do not..why do you ask..?"
"J-just wondering!" Verity said with a slight cadence. Hours pass while Y/N and Verity make meaningless chatter while they sort, eventually Y/N notices the moon high in the sky "Ah, it's getting late..I should probably get some sleep." Y/N stated as they walk towards their room to get changed "Alright then! Goodnight Y/N!" Verity smiled at Y/N. Hours later, Verity finds himself unable to sleep.. So he walks to Y/N's room. Verify finds Y/N tucked cozily in their bed, asleep (as expected) so Verity sneaks over to Y/N's bed, and quietly so as not to wake them, slips under the blanket and gently grasps Y/N's sleeping form in a gentle caress, burying his head into the crook of their neck. Verity falls asleep much faster now that he's holding Y/N
Hours pass and as the first rays of dawn flick though the window, Y/N begins to stir, confused on why they are being held by a unfamiliar mass.. As their eyes flutter open, they blink repeatedly and blush deeply "what..? Verity..? What are you doing here..?" Y/N blurts out confusedly. Verity blinks awake, realizing Y/N is also awake, he also blushes "O-oh! Y/N! I-I'm sorry, just i was having trouble sleeping and..." Verity trails off, obviously flustered at being caught "It..It's fine..to be honest i didn't mind.." Y/N admits sheepishly. Verity blinks, eyes widening in shock "Really? You..You don't mind?" Verity smiles disbelieving. "I-I don't.." Y/N smiles sheepishly "Oh thank goodness! I didn't want to make you uncomfortable!" Verity chuckles "But we should probably get out of bed and be productive.." Verity adds before slowly crawling out of bed, offering a hand out to help Y/N up.
