Chapter Text
Percy would surely laugh if someone would tell him that he will be traveling back to the past. He's just gonna chuckle as a response and think of it as nothing. Just a funny joke that someone had told him. There's no way that a being would do such thing to him after all the things he went though for their sake, right?
But, what is this!?
It was suppose to be one of the normal night for Percy after all the shits he went through. A night where he could sleep without getting worried of being abducted and have his memories erased courtesy of his youngest aunt.
Opening his eyes, what greeted him is the familiar grayish wall of a certain school he had attended in the past.
Startled, Percy arouses from a very very familiar bed that he has when he was still a teeny tiny teen and was still a student of Meriwether Academy. The place where he had first met his two cousins from his eldest uncle.
His deep sea green eyes zeroed unto the nearest calendar pinned on the wall. It shows him that it is the day where he and Thalia fought Dr.Thorn and Annabeth getting kidnapped by the said monster.
'No way.. This is a dream. There is no way that he's thrown into another bullshit, right?'
Pinching himself, Percy's breathing hitched as he felt the pain of his action. There's only one thought formed on his mind.
'Fuck.'
--
It took Percy a whole hour before he accepted the fact that he indeed traveled back in time. Groaning he left his bed and decided to take a shower.
Once done, Percy wrapped a towel on his waist as another sigh left from his lips. Rubbing his hand over his face, Percy could only sigh again in defeat.
'Is this a payment of me taking it as a joke and brushing it off? Are you really that spiteful you three wretched woman!?'
Percy could see the Fate's laughing at his predicament that they have deemed to fall upon him.
Gritting his teeth, Percy changed to one of the underwear, shirt and pant available from his small wardrobe. Once done, he immediately left the room and walked towards outside.
What greeted him is the familiar halls of Meriwether. He relishes on the called air that softly blows. The calmness around made him remembered the times after the two biggest battles that he, his friends and his family had went through.
The calm after the storm as Annabeth said. Ever since they had defeated Gaea, who Percy couldn't still believe was his great grandmother, everything went back to normal as if the battles they had went through are just nightmares they needed to forget and move on.
But then, the pain of losing one of his friends, Leo who choosed to sacrifice himself in behalf of Jason. Leo who had sacrificed his life with no hesitation. Just like what Bianca did on their quest. Who's life ended abruptly. Not even a month had pass since she had learned her and her little brother's heritage.
Blinking, Percy stop in his tracks as he heard the familiar voice of Grover just a few feet away from him.
Looking straight, he saw Grover talking to Nico and a very much alive Bianca. If he still considered the past few minutes of time traveling as a joke earlier, this scene slaps him hard, figuratively, that this is now his reality.
Hyping himself up, Percy jogs towards the spot of the three. Calling Grover's name first to let them know that he was there.
"G-man!" He called. The familiarity of the nickname he had been using to call his friend ever since they had met rolls in his tongue smoothly.
"Perc—y!" Grover greeted back, accidentally bleating making the two children of Hades to look at him weirdly.
Red flushes over Grover's face as it finally sunk in to him what had just happened.
"Please ignore that. I'm just excited to see him!" He said. Slightly sweating which made his statement more unbelievable.
The two still stared at Grover making his friend chew his finger nails anxiously.
Seeing again Grover's tic everytime he lies and getting anxious, Percy softly took his friend's hand to stop him from wounding himself.
"You two must be the new students." He said smoothly. He also make sure that he acts natural and not to show any signs of knowing his two cousins infront of him.
"Well, yes. We just transfered today and it was Mr. Underwood who was assigned to tour us." It was Bianca who answered.
Hearing Bianca's voice almost made Percy flinched. The last time he had heard Bianca's voice is his cousin telling him to stay put and that she will be the one to go inside underneath Talos' feet. Which he was so against with at first. Which he should have stop her from doing it.
"Well then. I am Perseus Jackson. Everyone calls me Percy though." He said, hastely adding his nickname to make the two more familiarize with him.
Percy can see Nico peaking behind Bianca's back. Staring at him with shining eyes untainted of any horrors that his future counterpart has gone through. This scene caused Percy's heart to ache remembering the pure hatred etched in Nico's eyes the moment he told him about Bianca's death. About his failure to keep such simple promise.
"So you are the Percy person that Mr. Underwood has been telling us." Bianca gave him a small smile. "My name's Bianca Di Angelo and this is my little brother Nico." She added, slightly pointing her little brother behind her.
Percy smiles at his two cousins, reaching his right hand out towards them.
"I hope G-man's not bad mouthing me on you guys secretly." He jokingly said, making Grover shove him.
His statement made Bianca's smiles more, with Nico laughing behind her.
"Not really. He's been talking about how heroic you were." Bianca said. A slight disbelieving
Bianca's words made Percy look at Grover with slight confusion. In the past (future?), he didn't know what his friend had told his cousins before he had meet the two. The only thing he was sure is that Grover didn't told them about their real heritage. After all, it was Percy, who was there with the two as they had learned about the truth of their identities.
"I-I told them how you always protected me since we became friends." Grover said, rubbing the back of his head.
Hearing what his friend had said, wide smile blossoms on Percy's face. He tackled Grover and rub his head playfully, making his satyr friend to laugh. Both Bianca and Nico also laughed at his actions.
Meeting the three, Percy decided to go along with them. Which he was welcomed by Nico with enthusiasm. He noticed that him being with the three made Grover more confident in talking while it made his two cousins more comfortable on interacting with them.
Percy followed the three as Grover toured the two around their campus. His step haulted when someone caught his attention. On the third floor, a man was following every of their movements. His gaze hardened knowing who this man is.
Dr. Thorn. The manticore who was a pain in the ass to dealt with on his third quest. Even his cousin Artemis was having a hard time in dealing with this creature.
The man seems to not noticed his gaze as he is too focused on watching his two cousins and Grover as they chatted ahead of them. Not noticing him pausing in his tracks.
Fist clenching, Percy tried to calm his self down lest he wanted to fight this bastard or flooded a random city out there. Ignoring the danger just a few storey from them, he jogged after the three who had now notice him lagging behind them as they stopped, waiting for him.
'I swear, I'll deal with you later you stupid manticore.' He thought.
If he wants to defeat the said bastard, he needs the help of his ex-pine tree cousin.
