I Hate How I Love You

Summary:

On the Unstable SMP a plug in had recently been added by an anonymous figure.. A… Nuisance of a plug in really… It forced two “lucky” members to have their souls intertwined.

Yeah, some dumbass added a soul mate mod on the Unstable SMP… Also an SMP known for its terrifying Villians and what not. So I suppose it could've been funny in hindsight to anyone adding it… The idea of seeing the server’s most powerful players being all lovey dovey with someone is funny.. Especially when it's Ashswag.. Aka leader of The Invisible Mafia

Notes:

Hey!! So this is my first fic ever- I would've made one sooner cause I LOVE to write but I have no ideas :p

LEAVE SUGGESTIONS IN THE COMMENTS!

Chapter 1: I hate my soulmate >VS< I yearn for my soulmate

Chapter Text

On the Unstable SMP a plug in had recently been added by an anonymous figure.. A… Nuisance of a plug in really… It forced two “lucky” members to have their souls intertwined.

Yeah, some dumbass added a soul mate mod on the Unstable SMP… Also an SMP known for its terrifying Villians and what not. So I suppose it could've been funny in hindsight to anyone adding it… The idea of seeing the server’s most powerful players being all lovey dovey with someone is funny.. Until it's you.

This is what was going through Ashswag’s head as he read the message in chat over and over

{[SOULMATE PLUG IN INSTALLING… 92%]}

Ashswag groaned, putting his head in his hands and rubbing his temples.

He hated the thought of him, Ashswag, the most powerful player on the server, and leader of The Invisible Mafia, having a soulmate.

He had a feeling almost close to disgust

APPARENTLY! The mod doesn't “add” soulmates, it just shows you who your’s is… Very painfully might he add. WHICH DOESN'T MAKE IT BETTER BY THE WAY!

The mod forced you to share pain with your so called, “soulmate.” Right..

While Ashswag was thinking this all over in his head, suddenly he heard a loud “DING” echo throughout his head, and he was slowly losing consciousness.

{[SOULMATE PLUG IN INSTALLING… 100%]}
{[MERGING SOULMATE’S HEALTH… COMPLETED]}

Of course.

Not only did installing a plug in restart the server.
But restarting the server knocked EVERY SINGLE PLAYER UNCONSCIOUS.

“Incredibly annoying.” Ashswag thought as he drifted into unconsciousness.

POV: Squiddo

……………………………..

Squiddo woke up with her head absolutely aching, which wouldn't make sense under normal circumstances.. When the plug in installed, she had lost consciousness while lying on her bed. (which she was still doing mind you) Which only meant one thing.. She had a soulmate!

Squiddo was absolutely giddy because she knew not every single person on the server had a soulmate and she so longingly wanted one.

Squiddo’s life wasn’t particularly interesting. Sure she was the leader of the most skilled builders on the server, but it's not everyday that she builds anything exciting. So she was hoping for an interesting soulmate.

She’d be incredibly upset if she got one even duller than her already boring lifestyle.

She sighed longingly. “What even for?” she mused aloud.

The same moment the sun finally rose above the ground, showering everything around her in a glossy orange light and reflecting off her glasses. Reminding Squiddo that she still did have stuff to do today.

Lucky for her she had no builds that needed her immediate help. Which means she’ll probably just spend the whole day looking for anyone who could be her soulmate… (Not much better if you ask me, but hey, who am I to talk? I'm just the director after all.)

POV: Ashswag

……………………………..

Ash decided to move through his day with a blissful ignorance to his “soulmate” which would be easier said than done, because halfway through his day, just as he was about to go assign tasks for the gold trimmed soldiers. There was suddenly a terrible pain on his side, giving Ash the illusion his soulmate had been jumped. “Great just great.” He thought, with a burning feeling in her chest the he took for anger.

Because how the hell does his soulmate just get jumped? Most of the people barely woke up a few hours ago after the plug in was installed.

And there was no fucking way Ashswag got a weak soulmate…

He hissed and doubled over in pain while on his staircase.

One of his diamond trims noticed him and walked over, their pace slightly concerned.

He recognized him quickly as Flamefrags, even if he was invisible, Ashswag’s just aura like that.

Ash attempted to greet him but once again was met with absolutely writhing pain. This time in his waist.

Flame knelt down to his level and Ash could tell he was holding in a snicker.

“You got a soulmate..?” Ash could hear the grin from his voice and rolled his eyes before doubling over in pain again from another slash on his shoulder.

Flame stared at him and sighed, reaching out his hands to help him up. “Bro.. Ugh- I’ll, like, make ClownPierce do your stuff or something, bro.” Flame muttered as they arrived at Ashswag’s bedroom door.

“You better not be in there all day though, bro we ain't capable of doing all this shit-” Once Ash nodded and let go of Flame’s arm, -- taking hold of the doorframe instead – Flame disappeared around the corner, likely in search of ClownPierce.

Ashswag was muttering a string of curse words under his breath, collapsing on his bed in utter pain. Thankfully it hasn't gotten any worse. – except for the fact it's untreated.

The worst part about being in pain through the “Soulmate share pain” thing, is that you can't do anything about it unless you're the one in pain.

Which means…

Until his soulmate finally treats this fucking wound, Ashswag is stuck in immeasurable pain.

Also! Haha.. “Fun perk”! Any scars your soulmate had or gets is given to you. And these wounds will most definitely scar.

He groaned outwardly. His soulmate is an idiot..

POV: Squiddo

……………………………..

Squiddo was lying on her bed curled on her side. She had gotten jumped by a bandit group that claimed she was in their way..? Yeah.. What the fuck.

Squiddo felt bad for her soulmate, incredibly so. But the only thing she was thinking about right now was finding her soulmate.

Which should be significantly easier now, considering she and them now had a matching scar that went across their neck. Speaking of, Squiddo brought her hand up to her neck and rubbed on the wound there. It definitely caused her the least amount of pain, which was good, she supposed.

She frowned as a sharp jolt came from her side, and she sat up, wincing. Her soulmate had just pressed against her wound. Hard. She almost cried because of the pain.

She didn't though, because a side effect of this mod was that soulmates could have a basic idea of the other’s emotions, especially in close proximity. And Squiddo didn't want to be perceived as weak… It was probably way past that now though.

She sighed and closed her eyes, hopefully the pain will subside in the morning.
