Derivative of the Void. The eyes of the unknown. Knight of kenos and vastness alike.
The Voidbreaker.
Did not know how to love, or what love was.
It was a simple concept, really, thought Operator. Love was something universally understood: you felt it for someone, got a partner (if one was lucky), and cherished them for as long as the relationship transpires.
However, with the pair sitting on the many lofty highrises and Operator looking— really looking into the magenta emanating from the knight's eyeport, it came to the rather apparent realization that Voidbreaker... really didn't know anything when it came to romance. Simple excuse for this however, they weren't born to love, or born out of love.
"Where do I even start with you?" It let out a noise akin to a bored sigh, catching the attention of Voidbreaker, who only offered a mere tilt of the head. How could one be made as passive as they? Unbelievable.
"What I mean is, how do you know you want to make this work, even if you can't really..." Operator trailed off, unsure of how to piece together the rest of the question. "Make your own decisions...?"
"We know what we want," they voiced, and Operator only scoffed in response, "If you did know what you want, you'd know alot about being in relationships. Yet you know nothing."
"We've no experience."
"Neither have I, but I don't come in with the experience of a newborn."
It paused as it felt the color of their face simmer back down from a vibrant red to its signature virescent hue. It was coming off too strong and as a know-it-all. Intimidating your partner is never the way to go, great going, it thought. "Let's try starting off with something small, come here for a second."
It motioned for Voidbreaker to move closer, and when they did, it turned to face them. "Let's start off with something simple. Turn to me, and give me a hug."
The knight paused. Touch was something.... it was surely not used to, but they could definetly fancy one. Tentatively, they shifted their position to mirror Operator's, and closed the distance, one clawed hand finding the small of its back, and another finding thr back of its signal head.
"Careful you don't get to anything critical," the device teased, wrapping its own arms around their back.
However the comment may have caused Voidbreaker to tighten their grip on their lover, as if out of spite more than instinct. "Are we doing it properly? Ure hands have no intention of causing harm."
"Yeah yeah, you big oaf. Not hurting me in the slightest." Operator patted their back, giving them the signal that it was high time to pull away, to which Voidbreaker did with some hesitance. "Although, I do want to say I'm glad we've made some significant progress... How do you feel about all of this?"
"No intention for us to do this with any other bodies."
"I know you wouldn't."
"..."
"..."
A few seconds of silence passed before Voidbreaker blurted, "We may do this again some other time, correct? It was... rather enjoyable."
The notion seemed to please Operator, and it put a steady hand to its lover's shoulder plate. "Some other time, definetly."
Voidbreaker's hand came up to meet Operator's once more, and for a moment, Operator believed maybe teaching the knight about love wouldn't be a frustrating task at all.
