In a seemingly calm house next to a forest, nobody could've expected the amazing creations and discoveries that came from there.
It all started from a person called Sloth Lis, who was living with her wife Saint Floral.
Many others also lived there, but that's not important for now. Sloth was rushing straight to Saint's room, feeling happy for the first time in what felt like actual months. Sloth had made a discovery that she thought could break or create more in the world, depending on if it got into the wrong hands. It was early in the morning, 5:38AM. Nobody was usually awake at the time but Sloth just had the gut feeling something great would be discovered. Through almost falling asleep at one point and almost losing all the progress of any current discoveries from a half-asleep misclick, Sloth kept going. After reaching Saint's door, she thought about if she should wake her up or wait until the morning. No, this is too important to wait, she thought. But on the other hand, what if testing it goes wrong? Will it need extra touch-ups in the morning? Is it better to wait? Tired of thinking, she knocked on Saint's door, waiting for a response.
Now, returning to the topic of who lived here; Sloth lived in a room furthest from everyone, but also the biggest due to needing space for many of their projects. Saint lived in a small room across from Sloth, which turned out to just be a really long hallway since Sloth's room was quite far. Sloth's non-biological sister, Giggle Lis, lived in a separate house but came to visit during freetime. Nobody honestly knew what she did for work, they just knew she was busy and usually never able to stay to talk for a while. Many of Sloth and Saint's creations also lived in the house. One of those being their first attempt at making something; Saturnhat. Saturnhat was a spirit who is trapped on earth, forced to stay for the rest of eternity due to doing some stuff that she herself doesn't even remember. Sloth and Saint decided to build a robotic body that Saturnhat could control. Saturnhat's name came from a design that Sloth gave to the first robot idea, thinking that Saturn wouldn't like it, she didn't bother doing much about it other than showing her. To Sloth's surprise, she loved that design. She came up with the name herself, liking how there were robotic planets floating around her head. Another creation of theirs was Serial Designation S, a disassembly drone. S was able to act so odd compared to other disassembly drones, S disliked killing workers and had to be forcefully sent back to earth due to not even doing their job. On earth, S disliked being known as a disassembly drone, so she took on the name "S Valentine" due to its like of Valentine's day. S enjoyed seeing people be happy, and seeing happy couples gave her hope in the species of humanity. Although S couldn't feel any romantic or sexual attraction, she liked the idea that people were happy together.

After waiting a few minutes, Sloth decided to walk back to her room and get to sleep. If she made one small mistake like showing the project to the wrong person or accidentally changing even the tiniest bit of it, everything would mess up.
After getting to her room, she yawned and collapsed onto bed, quickly falling asleep due to how tired she had been from working for five hours straight.

POV SWAP: S VALENTINE

As she got up from the living room sofa after checking the news for any possible incidents in the area to investigate, she walked to the kitchen to make coffee. She started to heat up the water and get everything else prepared, while occasionally looking up at the stairs to see if anybody else was waking up. 10AM was quite early for anyone to wake up but it was quite normal for S. S had to travel early to teach, the school she worked at started at 12AM and ended at 6PM so she had to be there at least 20 minutes before 12 to get her class ready.
After her coffee was cooled down enough for safe consumption without feeling like drinking lava, she drank it quite fast to get ready. The trip to the school she worked at took half an hour by car, so she needed to quickly finish up small paperwork at home to still make it in time to set up her class. S didn't like loud kids or teenagers throwing paper through half the class, but she enjoyed teaching people new things so she didn't mind the job at all. After finishing her coffee, she walked up to her room to do paperwork. Her life was boring, at least that's what she thought before Sloth came knocking at her room's door. S walked up to the door and opened it to see Sloth holding a stupid looking watch..? Why was she acting so crazy over a damn watch..
"Heyy!! Morning, S! I made something cool..!!" Sloth enthusiastically spoke.
"What the hell is that.. Looks like a recoloured expensive watch or whatever."
Sloth was taken aback by that statement, but quickly started explaining what it was.
"This 'watch' can teleport us through different dimensions and universes and basically that means we could have so many crazy opportunities! Think about it, S."
Sloth activated some button on the watch and S stared in shock as a portal appeared.
"Mmm.. See? Cool opportunities!! Ha- we could even see the future or change the past with this!" Sloth continued on, seeming so happy about the creation.
S hesitated before asking questions- she had enough time to ask before work but she also started thinking about how TERRIBLE this idea is. If the portal-creation watch thingamabob got into the wrong hands like some corporate slop trillionaire or a weirdo in general, anything bad could happen and the whole course of the universe can change.
"Er.. Have you told Saint or Saturn about this yet..?" S asked, trying to sound calm while thinking about everything that could go wrong with this invention.
Sloth's eyes lit up. "I'LL GO TELL THEM NOW, THANKS FOR THE IDEA!!!" she cheerfully yelped before running out of S' room and going upstairs.
